I'm back to the Sonoran Desert and Phoenix until next Monday. The winter has been extraordinarily wet and cool. Now it's warm and the desert is in bloom. This is a simple flower, but to me it's miraculous in that it's thriving in the desert.
I hope that you are thriving wherever you are today!

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes. Today, I joined a new gym, a really great powerlifting gym. It's a 12 minute walk each way from my house, so I got about 25 minutes of walking, plus my lifting. Which was Stronglift 5x5 Workout B
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? yes. I was SO hungry today (it's almost TOM) but I kept to my limit.

Exercise? Yes, 30 minutes indoor low intensity walk today...rather uninteresting as I was in a mall as opposed to being on a worldly virtual hiking adventure. Couldn't very well exercise my way down the mall corridors without looking foolish!

Today was indeed a new day. I went to my pain management doc with a fresh positive attitude and I had a good experience. He feels the majority of the most severe pain is from my T10-T11 region. I was experiencing a lot of pain chronically, but had been trying to tough it out, thinking my only option was one opioid plan that had failed me miserably before.
I felt like he understood my concerns, and while I am on opioid pain meds in the short-term, I will be moving on to CBD oil and looking at doing a clinical trial they have for a new ketamine compound (non-Opioid).
I asked about my diet/exercise, and he said just to listen to my body, and that I knew what I was doing in the gym. He gave me positive feedback and tips about the Keto diet that I’d been researching, so I did get groceries and made a mini-plan for myself for the week. Need to keep my mind on something positive.

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? 3 mile treadmill run this morning, and an insanely busy and active day at work -- ending the day with over 20,500 steps.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes, but barely -- 4 calories left LOL
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yep!5 -
Yes x3. Today was the first day since January that I didn’t put on my snow pants to leave the house! We are FINALLY out of the -30s. Coldest February on record. Strength training in the afternoon then celebrated the ‘spring like’ -18 temperature with an hour of sledding with the kids.5
