Light Day went well yesterday. Doing a normal day today and planning on around 1500 calories or so.

Today was not as good as it should have been, but not as bad as it could have been, either. So, I am calling that a win. I am going to fast tomorrow since Thursday is Para Appreciation day and they are going to appreciate us with pizza. We are like stray cats, feed us once in a while and we will keep coming back every day to check the dish. LOL Have a great rest of the week!1

Well hello April! My daffodils are gorgeous...my windows need a major cleaning inside and out! April has that “new year” feel.... cleaning and organizing! We cleaned up our garage and had a major clean up over the weekend, such a good feeling to get rid of junk!!!!!!! Now I need to get rid of my waist!!!!
So, no more m&m’s!!!

Clean eating planning...... fast tomorrow with a Thai soup for dinner planned... 250 cals per 1cup! Oatmeal for lunch...crossed fingers my plan is unspoiled!1 -

Sounds like everybody is busy but good around here! Been trying to hit send on this post for over an hour now! Argh!
Way to go @KateNkognito! Don't you love it when they offer free food but you really don't want to eat it?! Ugh. We had donuts out for Valentine's Day and various bowls of candy around here. Not easy!
Congrats on your clean up! And speaking of M&M's @mamainthekitchen LOL yeah I can relate. Love it when the various stores have their Easter candy out. *screams*
Going to my arthritis doc tomorrow AM for a follow up. Maybe she will be giving me a new medication. Not sure. Tomorrow PM I am scheduled for a haircut and highlights. This hair of mine is driving me nuts!

Well, it sounds like everyone is doing well. April just feels like a brighter, better month already. Today *was* going to be a fast day, but then I bought really good cookies. And they were delicious! There's always Friday or Saturday for fasting.

Out for lunch today... I already know what I’m getting and the restaurant has a nutrition page so that’s awesome! Roasted beet salad with lentils, goat cheese & fig balsamic dressing comes in at 440 cals! I also don’t have to use a knife with that!! Haha still find it hard to cut things with the stupid cast on!

Friday Eve! This week has flown by! Allergies are awful the last couple of days. My son that doesn't ever get them even took some antihistamine because he is sneezing and coughing.
@mamainthekitchen I hope you enjoyed your lunch and you didn't have to use a knife.
@Meghan509 I hope you made great progress on your project and didn't get hangry.

That salad sounds awesome @mamainthekitchen I like it all except for the goat cheese. Sub some feta (cow's milk) and I am game! Yum... Hope your arm feels better ASAP!
Ugh, I saw on the news that the allergies are coming this way too @KateNkognito! I don't really suffer aside from a teeny tiny bit of throat scratchiness, but my guy can really suffer if it is bad. This morning we had some fresh sliced cantaloupe with cottage cheese for breakfast. Unfortunately, the fruit allergies he suffers from make his mouth itch like heck!
My work project is going well. I made it through the day fine, yesterday. Still not happy with the scale so time to change things up for next week - going to make a new salad for light(er) day lunches.
Looking forward to the weekend! No big plans, just nice to have a break.

Well, good morning! The sun is shining! The birds are singing! I am sneezing with the pollen! Spring is here!
I weighed myself this morning and I am up two pounds, BUT I am retaining water like crazy, and I expect I will be down a LOT next weekend. Will fast tomorrow and probably Thursday. Also need to watch my sodium. I have had a lot of it lately and I am super puffy.

Hi all... hope you’re all enjoying this Sunday! It’s gorgeous out today... big winds yesterday blew away all the clouds!
Meghan the goat cheese in my salad was covered in poppy seeds too!! I know others that also replace it with feta too, I happen to like both
Sodium is just the worst! Pre-packaged items or canned soups etc are things to watch. I must admit I buy sodium reduced items all the time but love a sprinkle of sea salt on fresh avocado!! Sigh...
Off to take the dog out soon, all I’ve had is green tea today, had such a big meal last night (rib eye, cesear salad, zucchini & peppers & 2 &1/2 glasses of Chianti!!!) I’m still full! Must be all the protein, so I’m going with the flow here and may not eat until dinner... fasting, sort of! 18 hrs so far! Gotta get this on track somehow, I need to remember how good it feels to be truly hungry...... well that sounds weird when there are people actually starving in this world, but you know what I mean.

Good Morning all!
Well that is strange!? I posted something in here yesterday but it disappeared. I popped in yesterday and I thought hit Post Reply, but I must have done Preview. Ugh....
Anyway, my was my weekend was good! The weather has been very nice here lately. Aside from a little overcast it is in the 60's F during the day. Spring is on the way. I am pretty sure it is safe to say that we won't have anymore snow this season!
I made a new Mediterranean salad for light day lunches this week and it tasted really nice. Here's what I put in it: Garbanzo beans, light feta cheese, sliced black olives, chopped cherry tomatoes, chopped hearts of palm, shredded carrots and on top of a mixed greens. Topped with a light salad dressing it comes in around 250 calories or so. Yummy and filling!
I had a great light day yesterday. Stuck to my goal of 700 calories or so and drank a lot of water.
Today and tomorrow are regular days and another light day on track for Thursday.
I have been in a fair amount of hip / right buttocks pain the last few days. Not sure why the uptick in pain. Looking forward to my physical therapy appointment on Thursday.0 -
Oh don’t ya hate the when your message deleted!! I usually press ‘done’ on my phone instead of press reply!
Today I noticed something... it’s most likely helpful to some, but not for me!... it’s the feature on the daily food diary at the bottom that says .... enter yesterday’s after dinner snack... WELL... considering I had a beer, and entire bag of licorice and some other assorted nuggets of goodness... I will NOT be using that feature today!!! At least I’m trying to log though, right??
Salad sounds yum Meg! And good for you sticking to the 700!! Hope your pain eases with the appoint. If you’ve got a nice pool/rec center near you, I bet a soak in a hot tub would help you feel a little better... hip pain no fun!!
I’ve had a filling lunch and now out for a walk with the dog! Dinner is going to be light with no after dinner nibbles!

I feel gross today. Allergies are so bad! I haven't been this bad in YEARS! I think since it was such a late spring, everything is blooming at once. Plus it is range burning month in the central US. The only plus is I am so stuffy I can't smell, so nothing tastes very good, so no overeating. Going to go take medicine and see if that helps.

Hi all!
Sorry for not checking in yesterday. Been crazy busy at work. Sat on this page for a while, tying to type and hit send and it just didn't happen! I did read everything though! Hang in there ladies. We got this.
Last night for dinner, we opted for take out instead of sticking with our healthy dinner, so yeah that happened. Otherwise eating for the week has been going pretty well. Aside from dealing with an uptick of right hip / sacrum pain this week, I am looking forward to seeing my physical therapist tonight for my bi weekly appointment. My guy has also been dealing with hip pain. His sounds more like osteo arthritis and he is going to the walk in clinic today to see if he can get an x-ray. He moved wrong and is dealing with back pain too. Yep, kinda bad. Ugh. I feel for him.
Well, I am glad it is Thursday and I am looking forward to my 700 calorie day. Picking myself and moving on after yesterday's dinner snafu. The good thing is I am definitely not hungry at all. Should make it to lunch until it is time for my salad.

Does it make me a bad person if I hope the pending storms bring a lightning strike on my school, but not my house or my kids' schools? I just need a day... I guess I will go put on my big girl pants and get my stuff done.

Today we are doing a spring cleaning at work and they are bringing in pizza and salad. Here's to only having a small amount of pizza sigh...

I have decided to give 5:2 fasting a go. I am thinking of making Monday and Thursday my fasting days. What days do you all use?

Good Sunday morning! It is BEAUTIFUL here! The sun is shining, the birds are singing! I did homework reading outside this morning. I have been reading about behavior management techniques and I think I might try some of them on myself to get past this stubborn plateau I have been at FOREVER! LOL
I hope you are all having a great weekend! Only 23 more school days! I enrolled for the last time! I graduate next December. It is super exciting! Now if I could just get someone to give me a job... Oh, well, it will happen. Probably. Maybe. I wonder if Walmart is hiring... LOL

Hope you had a great weekend! We had a nice visit with friends on Saturday and experienced some beautiful spring like weather! Anytime I can skip wearing a jacket (or at least a heavy one) is a good day!
Hope you guys are well!! Today's Monday and a light day for me. Excited for some new recipes I made over the weekend: Turkey Pumpkin Chili, and Pea Soup with Turkey Sausage. We have enough food in our fridge, for an army. LOL

Ok, Turkey Pumpkin chili????normally I love hearing about everyone’s tasty soup recipes.... but this one sounds like you’re having your dinner & dessert all in a bowl!!?! Meg.. let us know how you liked that one!!
So far today I’ve had 1/2 cup of shreddies & 1/2 cup almond milk... just knew I wouldn’t survive until 1:30! I usually try to wait for my first bite. This will hold me until my afternoon hard boiled egg! (I planned ahead!!)

First 500 day- Not feeling to bad had a quick frozen lunch today for 270 cals at noon. Now to plan something light for supper.1

I have gotten in a food rut with swinging by a restaurant EVERY night. I bought a bunch of stuff at the store tonight to help me get past that. I have salad, chicken, instant rice and pasta, tea, low sodium soups, etc. I WILL fast tomorrow and get over this little hump! I hope everyone had a great fast day! Have a great week!1
