Weigh in week: May week 1
Weigh in day: Wednesday
Previous Week's weight: 230.0
Todays Weight: 225.1 (-4.9)
Wow. I am surprised and proud of this, although I think I may be losing too fast. I’ve been counting my calories on MfP for lightly active which was telling me to eat 1750 calories to lose 1.5lbs a week. I lost a total of 9.8lbs in April which is almost 2.5lbs/week.
I’m wondering if I should keep doing this for another month based on what MfP is saying to lose 1.5lb/week and being lightly active? Or should I change it to 1lb a week or change it to active..... to increase my daily calories.
Don’t get me wrong, I love seeing the numbers go down but I want to be sure I’m doing it in a healthy way.
Thanks for your input 🙂1 -

@hickchic67, Happy Belated Anniversary!!
@Colleen790, nice loss!
@bdashnay, wowza! I'm not sure, but I've seen lots of talk about losing slowly. I'll let others with more experience weigh in on this. Maybe @craigo3154 would have some insight for you.

@bdashnay Everything I’ve read has suggested two pounds as the max weekly loss unless you have close medical supervision. I guess so your doctor can make sure it’s going well and all nutritional needs are being met? I did occasionally lose more than two pounds a week here and there myself, but it wasn’t intentional (I got sick a lot this past winter and tend to be nauseated when ill) and those high weeks were normally preceded or followed by a lower loss week. I’ve intentionally slowed my own loss recently too because I don’t want my training to suffer from over-restriction. I do think there’s merit to the plan of losing at a more moderate pace. Just my take on it, and I’m not a nutritionist or medical professional!1

Sorry for the gain, but my pants still feel loose. Hopefully it is muscle gain. Have fun for Cinco de Mayo, but not too much.2 -
Good morning! Both of our Thursday weigh-ins have been posted. Hope you all have a fantastic day. I'm in SC helping my youngest son move this weekend. I'll head back home on Saturday.

@BonnieHosk85 That is awesome, seriously. Housework makes me want to lie on the floor and cry. Which is unfortunate because I’m a stay-at-home mom who also hates clutter and mess. 🤣 So basically - I’m either miserable from housework or miserable from the mess that happens when I avoid the housework.
Daily check in:
Exercise? Today was a 4 mile run. We also took the kids to the zoo so there was plenty of leisurely meandering there as well.
In calorie budget? Yes!
Tracked? Yes! I pre-planned, logged and packed all my food (thankfully our zoo allows you to pack lunches) and was able to log the treat I chose while we were out.3 -
