Longer, warm days. SUNSHINE!!!! Flowers and their bright colors. And sunshine!
140.0 this morning at 5:00. Happy, happy, happy! Maybe in the 130's soon. Workout w/trainer this afternoon. Getting the boys shortly.
Going to look for a new soup. The one I made a couple of days ago is a fail...it's sad when potatoes get cooked toooooo long.

178.6 this morning...no vacation weight gain so far. Lots of walking but also lots of food and adult beverages...so we will see. I love beautiful May flowers I hoping to see lillies very soon.
Also this May will be very special celebrating my 60th and retirement. Going to Cabo on May 23rd than only two days left when I return.
The countdown is on.

139.6 this morning at 5:30. Yeah! I have to find out what is the weight range for a 5'5' female. My original 60 pound loss took me down to 132.2...hmmm.
Picking up the boys in a little bit. Going to look for a new soup recipe since this last one was a big fail!!And I'm going to read.
Hope you all have a fine Thursday!

Back from Canada and a weigh in of 185.6...happy about a loss while traveling!1

Good job, Karen!!
140.8 at 5:00 a.m. Yesterday was a fluke. I knew it.
Got to go....
Chris0 -
Oh no Chris! Cooked potatoes in soup can go mushy way to easily! Quick, flush it. I won't tell.
And I think your weight is awesome. I love the longer warm days.
Kathy I am so happy for you. Birthday and retiring all in the same month. Fabulous. And a trip to celebrate. I like to bring bright flower colors into my kitchen. It is a neutral color, I dress it up with spring flowers from my yard. I cannot wait for all my fuchsia to grow also.
Karen that is a great success! I took some exchange students to Canada years ago. They wanted to get their passports stamped and see Canada!
I am still busy training the new gal. She is getting there. I turned down a trip to Jackson hole to pick up a pregnant inmate. Over time would have been great. But it would have been an overnight trip.
I bought 4 new roses. One has blooms now and they smell heavenly!

184.8.... feeling good!
today we are taking Bella to visit a summer camp in the Pocono Mountains. She really wants to go away this summer and besides a week at church camp last summer this will be her first foray into being a summer camper. This is a health oriented camp which offers such amazing support, activities, nutrition, fitness, sounds really really good. It's for kids just like her who are struggling and want to be around other kids who are going through the same thing. So we're going to take her up there and see if it sounds like she is looking for. Will be so weird to have her gone for eight weeks of the summer, but I think a really good opportunity for her to blossom.
Okay need to stop playing with the cats and go exercise beforehand :-) have a great Saturday!

140.4 this morning at 7:00. Got to sleep in!
Shelley, I separated the potatoes and other veggies from the pasta in my bowl and mashed them with butter...pepper, season salt...pretty good, I must say!
Karen, I hope your daughter likes summer camp.
Made a new soup, and found out I do not like Canadian bacon...nopey, nope! But the rest was pretty good. DH liked it.
Going to read for the rest of the day.
My love and pretty flowers.
Hope you all have a great Saturday!

140.8 this morning at 7:00. hmmm...what will tomorrow bring?
Met DDD, SIL and Ronan at the bookstore and then we went for frozen yogurt at a new yogurt place. The yogurt place we've been going to for years is much better and much cleaner. They had some toys for kids to play with and they were nasty. Needed to be scrubbed down. Anyway, DDD has been promoted to Vice Principal. Now they will decide which schools she will VP at. She'll know in a couple of weeks.
DH and I are kicking back with our new books this evening. Hope you all had a good weekend.
Chris0 -
Chris he is adorable as always. Congrats to DDD! So awesome. Beautiful flowers. And the butterfly is gorgeous.
Karen I always loved camp. I hope she does also. My cat is in charge here. The dogs refer to her.
We had a gift party for Rocky. I love the friends and family visits.
Sadly I found my little female red mandarin stuck in a rock. She just have thought she could swim through a tiny spot and got trapped. If only I had seen her earlier. So sad for such a young fish to did like that.
Walked the dogs today and ordered a new rose plant. Now where will I plant 5 new ones?

140.4 at 5:00 this morning. I'm a bit surprised! I'll just keep doing what I'm doing.
Picking the boys up in 20. We plan to play all morning long! I'll workout w/our trainer at noon. Then it's Easy Monday for the rest of the day.
Have a good one, my friends.
Chris0 -
179.6 a little adjustment this morning.
Kathy0 -
Chris I love easy Monday. Now where do I sign up for one?
Kathy count them days down for us. :drinker:
I took some cuttings from some fuschias the other day. Hope they root.
Shelley0 -
Shelley, is that a picture of your front yard? So cool! I like it!! And, you have to retire with me to have easy Mondays and easy Tuesdays and on and on...
Kathy is almost there! I'm sorry about your little red mandarin. So sad.
I hope my two milkweed plants grow to be amazing butterfly bushes.
Chris1 -
140.8 this morning at 5:00 a.m.
Picking up boys in a bit. Playtime. Easy Tuesday with a new book!
Chris0 -
Chris what are you reading now? And thanks. I really miss her. And it just should not have happened! I want pictures of them bushes if they get visitors.
Shelley0 -
Matt Rogers -- King and Slater series -- Weapons. Rogers has a six book series on King and a six book series on Slater then brings them together in Hawk, which I just finished. They are special ops guys taking on the bad guys.
We are going to the park now. Back later.
Chris1 -
Camp was great! We are a go for Bella...0

I love when the good guys win. I need more ammo! Enjoy Chris.
Karen so happy to hear that. I have lots of great memories from when I went to camp.
Rocky has had a lot of infections in his leg at the incision site. 3rd week of antibiotics. Finally looks to be healing.
Shelley0 -
I swear I posted this morning!! Egads!
140.4 this morning at 5:00.
Shelley, I'm glad Rocky is doing better. That has to hurt like crazy. And, btw...I need more purple bullets for my purple gun that goes in my purple thingy around my hips.
Karen, so happy for you that camp went well. Hope Bella has a great time.
Chris1 -
142.2 this morning at 5:00. I don't think so...I'm not going to gain 1.8 lbs overnight. Must drink lots of water today.
Got the boys...playing hard. Beautiful day. Easy Thursday.

Shelley - Glad Rocky is on the mend!
Dropped Bella off for an appointment and decided to walk around instead of just sitting and waiting. Saw such beautiful gardens in this community...so glad I walked around! And will hit 15000 steps today. I dont see it too often with my desk job.
Hubby is in Florida visiting his Dad and step Mom . His Dad has ALS and is deteriorating quickly. Glad they are getting to spend time together.
Looking forward to the weekend!
Have a great night!
Karen0 -
Karen, nice steps yesterday! So sad about your FIL. Sending good thoughts to your DH and FIL.
142.2 at 5:00 this morning. ...sigh... REALLY!!!!! Egads! What is going on here?
Getting R&B in a few mins. We plan to play...no walking to the park because it's windy and cold out there. Hope it warms up. Then I'll workout w/our trainer then...easy Friday!

Paula, I love it! ...just wish my belly looked like that again.
141.0 at 6:30 this morning. No plans for today. Having DDD, SIL, Ronan, and SIL's mother over for dinner and ice cream this evening. Plan to read and look for a new dinner recipe. That's all.
Chris0 -
Chris I know I have posted and forgot to then post it! Crazy. Rocky is on his 4th found of antibiotics now. Hopefully the last one too. I love the purple thingy you got going on. You must have somehow known I am qualifying this week!
Paula and Karen we found a cat great that our diva loves! It is dentalife by Purina. No cute packaging. I would have said she would turn her nose up to it. But she loves it.
Karen great job on walking and finding such nice gardens.
Paula I miss your witty sense of humor. Hope you are having a great spring.
I saw a couple of women in the news this last week. They were crossing the finish line dead last together. Holding hands! They met on race day and made a promise to not give up. So inspirational! I had tears in my eyes and thought of us.
I have so many, many spring blooms right now. I am planning on adding more roses this year. I looked up pruning them. Boy was I doing it all wrong! Happy Mother's Day to everyone. Paula your kits count!
Shelley0 -
Paula, what Shelley said...I miss you, too!
Okay, Shelley, how do you prune roses? I have six rose 'trees' out back. This year there are more roses than last year and I need to prune them before the wind destroys them. Don't know if I'm doing it right or not.
141.0 at 7:00 this morning. Tomorrow will be much higher after Mother's Day dinner tonight.
Chris0 -
Chris I suggest looking online. There are a number of videos also. Lots depend on what you want. But some things I am going to do is get rid of wimpy canes. Those less than a pencil in diameter. Any that rub across other canes. Especially in windy areas. They will damage each other. Also cutting canes growing in the center of the bush, airflow is important. And cut at an angle, to encourage water to run off. Or use glue to seal the cuts. I want larger blooms and fragrance. So some may not make the cut. Right now I am trying to convince Rocky to get rid of 2 trumpet vines he planted last year. To invasive for my taste!your
Hope you had a great mothers day!
Shelley0 -
Thanks, Shelley. I'll have a look at some videos and work on one or two of the rose trees today.
Mother's Day was so fun with DH, DDD, Ronan and SIL. A little weird with SIL's mom and her boyfriend who drinks, and stuff, way too much and had to slouch on a couch in the other room.Oh, well.
Getting the boys soon. Working out w/our trainer at noon. Don't know what the rest of the day will be like.
141.2 at 5:00 a.m. I'm expecting a jump because of all the food (salty) and dessert yesterday. Maybe tomorrow. I'll just wait and see what happens.
Chris1 -
Hope everyone has a good time celebrating Mother's this past weekend. I got to spend some good time with my daughter which was nice. Ate a bit too much and had some wine, but it sure was fun!
Looking forward to working out at lunch today to get my groove on. Rainy and cold here in PAHope you all have better weather!
