Yesterday, my dear and respected UAC friend and honorary co-captain, @craigo3154. shared a Ted talk. The Ted talk is to be something that is an idea worth sharing. In my experience, they always are ideas worth sharing.
Since we have a small community of caring relationship called the Ultimate Accountability Challenge, we have chosen to support each other for our individual and common good and well-being.
Here is one of my favorite Ted talks and it's 12 minutes long so I'll share the bottom line based on a 75 year study of Harvard men and an equal number of men from Boston's at risk neighborhoods. The purpose of the study is to determine,"What makes a good life?"
The conclusion after studying hundreds of participants over 7 decades is "Good relationships protect our bodies and our minds. We should lean in to relationship with others."

I am a bit of a loner. This is part of my extreme INTJ personality (also likely undiagnosed ASD as it was not diagnosable when I was a child. I am in the "high functioning" side of the spectrum, so can operate in society and have found my niche). However I feel blessed that I found a life partner that I can rely on. She knows me and accepts me for who I am.
I know I do not reach out often enough. Sharing with UAC is at least one avenue in which I do reach out.17 -

Hi all x got my exercise in early today; walked my daughter to school (she gets a badge for walking in) then I walked home 30 mins. have tracked everything and am about 400 below my target 3xyes. best wishes all x7

Exercise: yes but I only did casual walking for half hr
Calories: under about 300 (suspect it's because I didn't do anything strenuous today)

Thanks for sharing the video about the importance of relationships. Very true....good relationships make us happy and give us support and happiness...and if we're generally happy we're less apt to lean on bad behaviors to make us feel good. How many of us have had children grow up and leave the nest, loved pets who passed away, and maybe some of us moved far from old friends and family.....the house gets empty. That there results in loneliness whether or not we see it. Humans tend to turn to other behaviors to fill that void and all too often, those behaviors are not beneficial nor do they fix the root cause of the problem.8 -

I’m very much a Ted Talks fan although I tend to read the transcript rather than watch the video. So much faster.4 -

I am happily single and love my space, but I do have an awesome network of family and friends, and I enjoy a small number of online groups like this one. I guess we all create our supports in our own ways. ^_^

Also, acc to my weigh in this am, I am finally back to my pre-Jan 20 2017 weight. I started drinking and comforting myself with food quite a bit then for some reason.6 -
