Exercise: Yes; a long walk to, from, and around the beach for about 90minutes. hoping to do more of that more often since we moved to the coast this month
Calories: Yes
Tracked: Yes
@Ketch_22 you're not a loser! this isn't/shouldn't be a competition of who does more than the other, but rather a place to challenge our own selves everyday to make healthier habits & choices, and a place to keep each other accountable and encouraged. you're doing fine, and no one is (and shouldn't be) here to judge9 -
I was going to use a pass day yesterday but I decided to sit my butt down and track everything I ate at Mother’s Day brunch and it wasn’t as bad as I thought - even counting the mimosas 😉 Then my daughter and I did a good brisk walk around the mall because the weather was so lousy. After a light dinner, I ended the day with a yes, yes, yes and it felt great!
Today I spent most of the day working at the computer so I really needed to squeeze in my 20 minutes. I also had a ton of little things to accomplish around the house so I set a timer on my phone and did them all as fast as I could. Win-win! Yes x 3

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes - 20 minutes on the mini-trampoline brought my all-day daily step total just over 10000
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes - including eating back almost "all (59) official exercise calories"
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes

Had a rough couple of days, hoping I can get back on track tomorrow. Lots of family drama stuff happened over the weekend and I’m having a hard time shaking it off.

I know I will end up using more pass days this month due to upcoming vacation but I will still keep posting here. I really like the extra accountability and inspiration from everyone! 😊

@am_change HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🎉🎈
@Ketch_22 Compare yourself to me - my exercise is 20-30 minutes of walking per day and sometimes I can't even make myself do that! I'm trying to lose weight but am also just trying to get up and outside and active! 🤗
@globalhiker I'm sorry you're feeling stiff and achey today. Hope tomorrow is better!6 -

Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yep!
Happy Birthday, @am_change!
@Ketch_22 -- I agree with everyone else -- don't compare yourself to anyone but yourself and how far you've come. Everyone's journey is different, and everyone's abilities are different -- that's what makes us all unique. You do you and you will be successful!6 -

I am so humbled by this group. Wow the amount of exercise you guys do is more than amazing! There's no way some are in this for weight loss. I'd like to say it's inspiring but it makes me feel like a loser on most days. I know if I hit 11k steps because my back hurts can't imagine the amount you guys achieve kudos!
Not everyone does the same. Some of us have health issues myself included. Sometimes I have to deal with major fatigue. I have to pace myself and know what I can do. I'm very proud of what I'm able to do. I don't compare myself to an athlete nor will I ever be. I'm active, and happy and feel my best when I eat right and get at least 20 minutes a day of exercise be it light or vigorous.. it all counts. If we develop habits that we can live with we will succeed.
Your not a failure your in this group. Your trying that's the main thing.5 -

@Ketch_22 Don’t be so hard on yourself. You are doing a grand job!
UAC is not a competition. Every day you post here is a triumph, because it shows that you are working on being the best YOU that you can. Every little achievement takes you closer to your goal. Whatever comes along can be turned into a learning opportunity.3 -
Exercise: No, my knee is worse for the wear so I had to take a rest day. I did end up walking quite a distance to two different appointments but because it was slow going, I’m not counting it.

Checking in for the last 3 days.
Saturday was a pass day. It started off with a larger than normal breakfast due to clearing out/packing up the kitchen (that last bit of muesli was bigger than my normal portion would be but not sufficient to warrant keeping the pot going for yet another day, I wanted to wash and pack it). I spent most of the day in the kitchen/around/thinking of food, first defrosting the freezer (thanks kids for leaving the door ajar!), inventorying the contents, devising a main meal plan for the next 3 weeks using the freezer contents/no oven and then continuing with the packing of the kitchen. So food was constantly on my mind and relatively close at hand. When I realised I'd go over calories i just stopped logging.
Sunday was a non-pass day, starting with toast and a triathlon. After it was either head home and continue playing 'put everything in boxes' or go for another bike ride. It was a nice day and training has been hit and miss this year so I went for a bike ride, just 15 miles, half off road, half on. Home, lunch, then walk to the shop for bread and milk, back home, made some flapjacks (used up the last of the bag of oats so they didn't need packing away), walked the dog and some flapjacks up to mum's and then came home to an Indian takeaway. I wasn't a pig with the takeaway and logged it (and the bucks fizz that's been knocking around the kitchen for 6 months) as 1350 calories (350 for the plonk, 1000 for the food). I know it's not accurate but it's as good as I need if I don't do it too often. I finished the day with just over 100 spare calories so I'm counting it as a non pass day!
Monday
Exercise, yes
Food, yes
Tracking, yes
My 4th non-pass day this month.
Packing of the kitchen is still ongoing but slowing due to lack of boxes/space to put the things we need leaving out.
The bonus (beyond a whole new kitchen) is that for the next few weeks I won't have an oven or loads of ingredients close at hand so temptation to pig out on 'stuff' won't be in view. When the kitchen is revamped things like the bread will have its own home so will be out of view of nibbling, hopefully!
