Sunday weigh in. Week 2..
Previous weight: 164.1
Current weight: 162.4 (this is 0.4 above my June 30 goal I set for myself)
Well, I am pretty pleased with how the nutritionist plan has worked out. I think I am down about 7-8 pounds since I started a few weeks ago. It is hard work but it is paying off. It is a definite grind cutting back on the treats but I am excited to weigh myself these days. And I am feeling better.
Thanks for your support!3 -

@mari_moulin would it be ok if I used the idea behind the above challenge for the other group I am involved in? As they say, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery"..1

WOO HOO SUNDAY!
So we have the WorkoutWarriors giving us the Beat Your Best Challenge. I really like this one, and need it badly right now. I am finding myself overindulging in general as I get into my mother-in-law's house to clear things out. I really blew it today, so having a challenge to keep me on track during the many weeks of getting her house cleared (you have no idea how MUCH STUFF she had...) will really help.
AND on top of the Beat Your Best, Workout Warriors are challenging us to a team-to-team points challenge where we can track points for exercise, food, water, and habits. If you need some extra accountability, join this too! We need a couple more players if possible. It is a fun way to get to know a small number of players from our team and the WOW team as well. Not everyone needs to play, but a few keeners would be appreciated!
We have had a good week, even if we are not on the top 3 spots this time. We support our members who have not had a great week, and it is OK! Next week, we can do better. We can try our best. Everyone will step up as well as they can, right????
STEPPERS!
I need more numbers. I love numbers, and your legs do too.

Congratulations to the WaistAways LOSER Winners for this week! You are the BEST LOSERS
TOP LOSER - @Loriab901
SECOND LOSER - @kx7003
THIRD LOSER - @Andreabroadley
Great work this week! You are all an inspiration to everyone on the team. We know it isn't always the same people each week. Sometimes someone has a great loss and then a rebound, or a plateau, or just gets a bit stuck. But to try to have more weeks as losers than gainers is our goal. And to get more FIT while we're at it.
No matter where you are, it is a worthwhile goal. Keep at it!5 -

I just saw that I got your weigh-in wrong last week! I reversed 2 numbers and had you down for 161.4. Sorry! It is actually way better the real way - more even, steady loss. But it means that I was wrong that you were our #3 loser for the month -- that honour goes to @reflectionofme ! Great job, both of you.3 -

Yikes, Lots of reading for me to catch up on! I stepped away from the computer for a couple of days to deal with graduation stuff.
I'm super stoked that I managed to get through all the graduation craziness without totally derailing myself. I allowed myself a couple of glasses of wine and one amazing cupcake. I'm so thankful that I found the FAT2FIT group here. I know that having to post my numbers is what kept me from caving in. I did forget to put my Fitbit back on after a shower one day. So my step numbers could have been better.
I'd like to be in for the challenge against Workout Warriors.
@jugar I have a friend that does house clean-outs. Every once in a while she'll ask me to help out if she needs it. It's usually when it is a particularly big job or someone is a collector of something(s). It can be a difficult time for family. I understand just how much work you might be facing. And there are lots of memories with the most mundane things that add to it for your family. Good luck with going through you mom-in-law's place.
@evangsimmons170 Water weight has driven me crazy in the past. I found when I did a lot of weight work, I would gain water weight for a couple of days. You know its temporary so don't let it get you down!!
@Terytha Feeling like you haven't been married that long is a good sign! Happy Anniversary!!2 -
Thanks @zlauerMom - I am actually enjoying going through my mother-in-law's house. It helps that we have plenty of time, and that I'm not responsible for the valuable stuff. My husband and his brother get to go through the papers and important goods, so I just get to have a good laugh over the 40 sweaters, at least 50 nail files and emery boards, the hundreds of hair products, clips, pins, and stuff (for someone with short hair who has not used them in forever!). The clothes will take time just because there are so many and most are of excellent quality. All of them are too big for me, I'm happy to say! I also keep my bike in her garage, so every time I go there to work, I also spend at least an hour on the bike trail.3

Hi Liselyn, @jugar hope today is a bit less taxing for you. I remember losing my mother in law 15 years ago. When we were going through her things, we found that she had tucked away the cutest things that our kids had made for her. They made me remember the love. I wish the same for you.5

So here's the backstory. I wrote a Christian devotional type book 16 years ago; believe it or not, the e-book is still on Amazon. I haven't published anything since, although I've been wanting to. Life sure can get in the way if you let it.
What rekindled the writing fire in me was that I was planning to do a reading/writing tutoring program at my church this summer to support some of our struggling learners. (I am currently an assistant principal and former English teacher.) At the same time, I hadn't planned for VBS (Vacation Bible School). I had a wacky but highly inspirational thought while talking to my Pastor's wife on Saturday afternoon that perhaps we could merge the 2 activities (VBS and reading/writing interventions). I decided to use novel excerpts that would interest youth of all ages and found plenty of them that were appropriate; however, I realized that I could not vouch for the appropriateness of the whole novel since I was just pulling excerpts I found online. Then I stumbled across an editor's webpage that asked why was I stressing over trying to publish an entire novel when I could publish excerpts of it while I'm still working on the whole thing. That was a huge TA-DA moment for me at about 1:30 in the morning. I got so excited I started writing immediately...yes, from scratch. By 4:30 am, I had my first excerpt written that's appropriate for today's teenagers. As much as I want to right an entire novel, which I will at some point, it seems that today's youth don't seem to have the stamina any more to read books of that length. But if it's interesting enough to them, I believe they can and will take the time to read 2-3 pages.
There are more moving parts to this story, especially on the VBS side, but I won't bore you with the details. Now that my 'secret' is out, I'm going to have to check every time I post that every sentence is structurally sound! LOLOL NOT! Expect typos! My brain works faster than my fingers, but I think that's a good thing, right?6 -
Hi all. Sorry I've been MIA a few days. Fell completely off the wagon but hopefully back on now!
I'm up for the team WAW v team WOW challenge. What do I do and am I not to late?2
