I received a shingles vaccination yesterday. And man is my arm getting sore. I really hope it does not last long. Makes it hard to workout! :s I will have to put a photo up of my two new (small) garden beds. I am moving my hibiscus plants into them. Should be a better spot for them. B)

I also was able to take some cuttings off my last years fuchsias and get them to root. So now I may not be buying them anymore. Just starting them indoors each year from the previous years plants. I may (LOL) have a few to many plants now.

I am going to try eating more vegetables at each meal again. And bacon. I am sure that is a food group.

    Everyone have a great summer.

I can't wait to get back to my regular diet, start walking and get off all the meds. Not in that order, but you all understand my issue. I just might be using all three of those as an excuse to eat more bread and feast on ice cream sandwiches.

Have a telephone appt w/a Neurosurgery PA at 5:20 this evening. More instructions and questions about my current health...maybe. We'll see.

Phone appt went fine. Pretty much the same as the one last week. Very nice PA.

Getting the boys shortly. Working out w/our trainer. Grocery shopping for new soup recipe. The last soup was really good. Might just make it again.

    Gotta go...

Didn't make soup yesterday. Exhausted by the time we got home. Hurt too much. I'll make soup today...maybe.

Chris it did not record my post again! I hope your phone appointment went well. I had a checkup on Monday. Silly doctor wants me to get some nasty colonoscopy done! Getting older sucks! Sorry about your pain. I sure hope tomorrow goes better for you. What soup are you wanting to make?

Catching up on posts while I wait for my flight to Frankfurt and then back to Newark NJ. I’ll be home in 16 hours! Well this week was great...lots of fun, good meetings and way too much alcohol and food. The scale will reflect it, no doubt. Hungarian food is also extremely salty, so I normally lose 3lbs of salt weight within 2 days of drinking lots of water.

So we spent 2 days of this meeting at a place called Lake Balaton which is a vacation spot about 2 hours outside of Budapest, and boy was it gorgeous. It is know for sailing, wineries and just relaxing. Will try to attach some pictures. Really gorgeous.

Looking forward to getting home and getting back into the groove ;)

UGH! this morning at 5:00. Don't even want to think about it.

Shelley, it was a Chicken-Spinach-Artichoke-Pasta Soup. Interesting. It's good and I'll make it again with some major changes. The instructions have you add the pasta before the spinach and boil the soup 8 minutes to cook the pasta but there is heavy cream, and two cheeses already in the soup...they should not be boiled for 8 mins. And a couple of other tweeks need to happen for the soup to end up on the "A" list. Ronan DID NOT care for it at all. Nopey, nope!

Karen, beautiful pictures! Sounds like you had a great time. Thank you for taking us on your trip with you!!! B)

Getting our carpets cleaned today. They really need it. They are a cream color...you can see where Bean lays down in the different rooms. :s

Working out w/our trainer today. Getting the boys soon.

Holy smokes, Shelley! So sorry. Both DH and I have had ours removed. You will do great! Talk to you when you are all done there.

Carpets turned out great! Better than last time. The guy even found Ronan's missing Rubble!! So great! Ronan was really sad he couldn't fine it. He cleaned the three couches. Nice. DH is putting the house back together this morning. I can't help a lot. :/ Well, gotta pay bills now. Can you tell I'm stalling?

    Bye for now,

Shelley...how are you doing? Can you hear me? Take all your meds, and do what the doctors tell you to do.

Crazy wind yesterday. Really hard! No wind today. Got to 96 degrees today. Tomorrow it's supposed to get to 100. B) I'll keep you posted.

    That's all for now.

Karen thank you. This is really a pain. :( I hope you are being careful in your travels. Everyone does not like Americans! Go figure!

Chris glad to hear his toy was found. And clean carpets are a must! Now why are you telling me to take all my meds? Are you suggesting little old me would do other wise? Lol

Well since they released me I have been slowly cleaning. Clean a little, rest a little. We have a full house coming over tonight. But after this I promise I will be good Chris. No really, I will rest. Out of work for about the next 4 weeks. I went in around 6 am Saturday. In surgery by 1030. They had to make a larger incision than normal to get it out. It was swollen to about triple normal size. Full of stones, thickened walls, and he said something about the fluid being like sludge. It was really infected. He said I have a really high pain tolerance. And suggested I not work out when in that much pain next time. I really was busy Chris. And Rocky is still not a 100% recovered from his knee replacement.

Good news is it is summer. I am going to enjoy the sunshine!

Shelley, that's awful! Stones and sludge are not good. I'm so glad everything went well. AND stop cleaning! When everybody gets there tonight...give each of them a chore to do, rubber gloves and paper towels. The house will be cleaned in not time flat!! I'm happy you are off work for 4 weeks. I'm sending good thoughts to both you and Rocky. <3<3<3

    Karen...what Shelley said. :#

We had the boys this morning. Ronan and I went across the street and visited with our neighbors. Dad was out there watering a section of the lawn that doesn't have sprinklers. He was holding Jack...their one-year-old baby...and watering the lawn. It was pretty cute. We talked for a few mins. DDD is done with school this coming Thursday, so we won't be having R&B every day.

Shelley...I love summer. It's my favorite!

OMG Shelley...I missed this! I’m glad you’re home and recovering. I’m with Chris...stop cleaning and take care of yourself. Sending prayers your way for a full recovery. In the meantime rest!

Along with continued swimming lessons and tennis, I’m working on a deep clean and reorganizing of my house now that I have the time. My project for June/July.

Kathy that's my project, too. And the garage...as soon as the docs will let me lift more than 2 pounds. :D Seven days until surgery!

Kathy did you surprise your DH with your swimming? Was he happy about it?

Shelley How is it going? Do you want to read a gallbladder story? I have a good one if you're up for it.

144.8 this morning at 5:00. Two more days of getting up at 5:00 a.m.!!!

    Okay, back later.

Sounds like we all have organizing on our agenda :-)

I'm in the process of getting my daughter ready for summer camp. She leaves in about a week and a half and boy it feels like she's going to college! She's super excited and looking forward to having this amazing adventure. It's going to be very hard not having her hair for 9 week :-) but in other ways it will be a nice break LOL!

186 this morning... it's always amazing to me how much salt in packs my body. Every time I go to Hungary I swear I gained 5 lb but I lose it in a few days. Such salty food.

    Happy Hump Day...coffee then gym!

I love projects everyone. Spring fever late? Thanks for all the Well wishes. And yes Chris, let's have a story about y'all bladders!

No fair talking about cleaning projects and telling me I have to behave.

And Kathy what Chris asked, swimming surprise? Do tell. So curious.

Karen your daughter is going to have a blast! I wish I could go to camp again. Camping in cabins is my speed now.

I went to a nursery. I slow walked. Picked out a few plants to add to pots. Amazing how that made me feel better. :)

Chris I am wishing you a speedy recovery and successful upcoming surgery.

My workout partner fire all the tendons around her right knee. Her kneecap is crooked! OUCH. She is having surgery tomorrow. She is also my coworker! Work is really short now.

Shelley - I hear you. Flowers make me feel better!

184.6 this morning. Looking forward to seeing 170 soon :-) I've been doing intermittent fasting this week and it's been working very well. Luckily I haven't been very hungry either so I think it's setting in.

    Have an awesome day!

Shelley - I love to get flowers. The ones we planted out back are doing really well except the green shamrock. It does not like the hot sun. Burning it. The purple shamrock is doing so terrific!! Getting so big!!

Okay, Shelley, here goes. My surgery was pretty okay except the doc had to make a really large incision because I have so much scar tissue inside that they little incisions weren't going to work. That just added to the tic tac toe design on my belly. But... my DH was having terrible pain..terrible...for two or three days. Took him in to Emergency at a non-Kaiser hospital. They took xrays...the woman told him there was nothing there that there was nothing wrong. She was nasty to him. Got him to Kaiser. They took xrays...could not see anything. He was in too much pain. They decided to open him up...The doc looked around...found his bladder...it was BLACK! It was dead! That was why they couldn't see it in the xrays. Doc took it out. Patched up his little incision. Came out to talk to me. Can I say...WOW! Cutest doctor ever?!? He said DH's bladder was back and dead and that he had never seen anything like it and DH was going to be fine. Dead bladder...how does that happen?

Shelley I hope you and your coworker get better soon.

143.6 this morning at 5:00. I have no idea what is going on with my body but I'll take 143.6!

Getting the boys in a bit. Going to Costco to get my hearing aid fixed later today. Then maybe a new soup. Going to look for a new recipe this morning.

Happy Friday! Must have some coffee before I head off to the gym. It’s been a very hectic week at work so I’ve only gotten a couple of workouts unfortunately. Very consistent with my eating out which is been good :-) gearing up to leave tomorrow night for a trip to Canada for work. The timing is not very good. Bella leaves for camp the next Sunday. Spent a few hours last night organizing and labeling all of her stuff. Just need to get a few more things and we will all be set :-)

143.4 this morning at 7:00. Got to sleep in!

Karen - Bella is going to have a blast at camp. Sorry the timing sucks. It will all work out. How long are you in Canada?

I'll workout w/our trainer at noon. DH and I get to go to Costco to have my hearing aids checked out. We were supposed to go yesterday, but our guy, Justin, had a family death and we had to change our appt. I like going w/our DDD but she dislikes Costco with a passion. I do not know why.

    That's it for today...maybe. :p

Karen 170 is a great goal. And flowers are so fun. My pink marshmallow fuchsia starts are doing great. I pinched them to get them to thicken up. Can't wait to see them bloom. They are so feminime.

Angie surgery went well. Long road to recovery. She is in a lot of pain. I will do light duty at work starting next Tuesday. I wish I could just never go back. But I must. B)

I planted a few more lots today. Only 4 more to plant. Maybe tomorrow.

Shelley - you know what light duty means, right? No picking up the prisoners and throwing them over your shoulder to get them into the courtroom. Are you on your own until Angie gets back to work? How long before you can retire? Two of my plants have flowers!! I'm so excited! Tried to take pictures but it's too windy here, and the plants won't stay still for me.

Karen - Hope your trip goes well. All of Canada should be in a good mood since their basketball team (can't say their name) beat our Warriors. Ugh!

We get Ronan this evening. DDD and SIL have a grown-up party to go to. We'll have fun!!

What are they Chris? They seem familair! Have fun with Ronan. :) Light duty. Means I change out the lights before tossing the inmates, right? ;) Looks like a little over 5 years until retirement. Egads!

Karen I always enjoy your pictures. Snap away. :)

Fathers day breakfast here tomorrow. Then a trip to see a new bridge out at Alcova. Should be interesting. We had some showers with time size hale today. It was awesome. But earlier today Joey was laying out in the sunshine napping. Apparently our timer for the sprinklers is off. And they came on. Poor Joey got caught out in the sudden "rain". He was barking to get into the back yard. I heard him and rescued him. He is so darn cute! A lot of the irises were damaged by the hail! I will see if I can get a photo anyway. I have a new concrete mold. It is a cardinal. Poured it today. Hope it looks good.

    Shelley

Hope everyone has a fun fathers day!

Tried twice to post from my phone and failed!!

Happy Father's Day to any DH's you ladies have decided to keep!

Shelley - it is called Milkweed. We got two Milkweed and two (?) Penrose on Amazon and kept them in the house for a little bit then DH planted them outside, and they are doing great!

143.6 at 7:30 this morning. The kids are coming over for Father's Day. We are doing Mexican food from their favorite restaurant. Dessert is cake (unknown flavor at this time) and Fat Boys ice cream sandwiches. Easy as can be.

    Later, my friends.
