Here is another Kansas City statue that the artist created as a lament to the slaughter of the American Bison in the 1870-80 period.
The work is entitled the Descent of Civilization8 -
On a lighter note, here is a cool exterior wall mural for a jazz club

Long work day.
First pass day (and deliberate). Didn't get out to walk, and passed on bodyweight due to sore shoulder.
Happy Independence day to all the US UAC'ers

Early start and very stressful day. Good dinner this evening - Korean BBQ - nice to have an evening out with my wife, especially after such a busy day.
Being club secretary and race director, there was a LOT to do to today to run an official National Qualifier event.
Managed to fly REALLY well. Faster than my best time on the real track than I had achieved in the simulator. The goal is your best 3 consecutive laps, so you need to be fast AND consistent.
I've attached the video of my best run here. (The qualifier track has been dubbed "turn left" and if you watch the video you will understand why ).

Congrats, Craig. Fascinating the accuracy with which these drones can fly. Perhaps you should have considered a career in aviation intelligence.1 -
I'm taking a pass today.
Battled with passing up beers, as I've only calories for dinner and wine tonight..... but, I dont want this lifestyle to stop me from living how I want to so....
Exercised? Yes, 30 mins running this am and loads of walking, 23000 steps so far today.
Tracked? Yes, I'm going to track it all, which is something I usually struggle with when I go off plan. So, thank you UAC for teaching me something already
Calories? Over.
Pass 1/3
Have a great weekend everyone!7 -
@RangerRickL quick question....I'm new to this group and have been posting on each day's respective thread since July 1st. I think I read 2 different things about posting that confuses me. First, I believe I read that the daily posts had to be submitted by 11:59 (ET). Then I think I read that we had to post daily or at least every 3 days. The 11:59 pm is what I have a question about because sometimes I'm exercising right up until midnight, so I usually post the next day for the previous. For example, I just posted yesterday's stats (7/5/19) this morning (7/6/19).
Does doing so disqualify me from the winner's circle?0 -
@kilobykilo, excellent pass day. Inspiring that you are tracking it all and not going off plan! Well Done!
@craigo3154, congrats on that run. That was exciting to watch
@evangsimmons170, as long as each day you are doing at least 20 minutes of exercise, and you post that days stats within 3 days, you're golden! You can also go back to 7/5's thread and post that day's exercise there.4 -

So looking forward to tomorrow to see a good friend I worked with for years be married, again, after losing her husband to Lewy Body Disease in 2014. The ceremony will be especially nice as it is being performed by the now retired estate attorney I worked with for 20 years. He is a most considerate and sincere gentleman who, himself, was in the ICU for over a year having developed adult onset epilepsy resulting in an automobile accident in June 2017 leaving him with severe injuries. He is a trooper for his motivation to get back on his feet; and we are delighted to be providing he and his wife with transportation (thus the reason the vehicles were cleaned) to and from the ceremony he will be officiating. Looking forward to a wonderful celebratory kind of day tomorrow for two VERY GOOD reasons.8 -

Had a ton of walking getting to and from events today, so racked up a lot of steps! Super hot and humid here in Ottawa currently. Definitely feeling very summery.
Belated Happy Birthday, @w8goal4life!
More great photos, @RangerRickL. Thanks for sharing.5 -
@w8goal4life, so glad the gentleman survived that horrific accident and recovery. We just took our oldest son's dog to our 1/2 way meeting place to return the pup to him and saw two rough accidents on the way home. Life is so fragile. Hope your day is absolutely amazing and best wishes to the bride and groom.3

He still has a long way to go. Just started introducing solid foods over the last 4-6 months. He received tube feedings for over a year and is just now looking to have the port removed soon. Liquids are still restricted to thickened apple juice. I'm just so pleased to see the come back he has made against all odds. Just to see him able to walk is quite the miracle.3 -

Pass #2
Exercise: No, it was just so hot & i felt exhausted for no reason and getting active made me dizzy & like I was wearing 20 wool sweaters. I'll be able to work out the next two days tho
Calories: Yes
Tracked: Yes
for the time being the beach is closed for safety reasons which means no more walks to the beach for a while, and that sucks cuz now i gotta figure out another walking plan. but also july-august are (to me) the hottest months of the year and i don't do well in heat and i'm a weak soul so some days i'm just gonna have to give up trying to workout whichmeans more pass days than i want but Autumn is when I really wanna aim for the winner's circle. oh well, as long as i stick to my calories i shouldn't have to feel too bad about not being able to exercise every single day. i'll also stick to my daily stretches/yoga, and chores & errands when needed. but today was just a lazy, blah kinda day.
on july 3rd i weighed 135lb, today i weighed in at 137lb. let's maybe get to 132-134lb by the end of the month?!5 -
July 6 yes x3
45min steel mace workout followed by 35min stationary bike.
never attempted steel mace before. I found it interesting and challenging. It's a new class at my gym on Saturday mornings. We shall see how it goes next week.5 -

Exercise? 20 min SUPing
Tracked? No. I’m at a cottage with family and there was just too much “tasting”, and not enough time to get to my phone.
Calories? Don’t know. My guess is that I’m fairly close to goal, but without tracking, it’s just a guess.
So Pass Day #1 for July.4 -
