Hi everyone, is there any special type of sausage you eat while on the Keto diet? We don't want to get tired of bacon in the morning. Thanks!

I like sausage and bacon, but can't eat them that often.
I don't tend to stick to traditional breakfast meats.
I like leftover steak, chicken, pot roast, hamburger, etc. Shredded or cubed, reheated, reseasoned, and thrown in an omelet or skillet scramble, topped with cheese and/or veggies, avocados, sour cream or tomatoes and parmesan.
Breakfast (or 1st meal of day) can be inventive and fun on keto.2 -
i didnt think sausages were aloud,
the 1 pack i checked was high in.carbs0 -
Sausage shouldn't be very high carb. More processing means more carbs... sausages obviously have some spices / seasonings, but definitely avoid anything with a whole lot of carbs in it. You don't want to buy anything mixed with maple syrup, brown sugar, and/or if some kind of grain is used as a binding agent. A lot of the sausage I get is seasoned with peppers of some sort or sage. It might have 1g carbs for 2 oz., if any carbs at all. So it is fine. Even if I have 8 oz. of sausage and 4 large eggs (0.6g carbs each), that meal is only 6.4g of carbs. It's a bit on the high side for me for a single meal, but still acceptable and not enough to prevent ketosis.3
