yes, yes, yes.Hobo camp -
Heh! My old scoutmaster would be mortified of me having such camp disarray and then having the audacity to take a picture of it.
But the beauty I try to express with this pic is my tent catching the first rays of morning light.
Hey, that ain't no big deal camping on a California beach but at my altitude camp I like getting up on a cool morning and standing in a ray of sunshine.
- Got a few hours of biking up a scrabbly road. Seen maybe 5 or 6 people in ATVs. After 4pm nobody went by.
- I didn't see any wildlife like I usually do. I seen some evidence that a bear leaves behind. Kept my eye out for a bear. Never saw it.
- I did a good bit of walking. Hike a bike as they call it in the mountain biker parlance. That is just fine. Sometimes I get all creative and try to get close ups or macros of wildflowers. I tell my wife that I picked some flower for her or then I put one as a background on her smartphone.
- I haven't got much AF (alcohol free) for the month. Maybe 3/15. Today AF though.
- Ate mostly english muffins, boiled eggs and tuna envelopes. Pancake, egg for breakfast. Not the stuff of culinary delight but easy to track.
- My gps tracker watch - who would have ever thought that my exercise level would be able to exceed the capacity of a tracker watch. I got me a new watch because my old watch wouldn't hold a charge while gps on for 3 hours. Heh, I can climb for more than 3 hours.
So my new watch advertised that it would hold a charge for upwards of 7 hours while running gps. Well, guess what. But I got two watches now, so I will do the two watch solution. Stop one watch the start the other one.
Why am I even thinking about that? Because I got an ambition for an epic mountain bike ride next week.5 -
