@erikNJ thank you! You described it perfectly. Maybe the loss will show up next week. In the meantime my legs are so tired from walking which is a good feeling.

@mirendybryant 30,000 step count is great. Hope your little one has a great first day of kindergarten.

@cossmoss15 thanks 🤗 have fun on your hike.

    Weigh in Wednesday
    Last week- 230.4
    This week- 231.6
    ⬆1.2lbs

Idk what happened. I've been under my calorie goals, exercised and drank more than enough water. Maybe just stress. My baby girl started kindergarten this morning. She's super excited but I'm so nervous for her.

Don’t let it get you down! Stress always makes me retain water and bloat ugh. You can easily see a loss next weigh in...keep on course. You got this!!

No apologies needed! One pound isn’t bad! You can make it up this week. At least you’re still weighing in! Keep going girl!

    Hi,

    Saturday, 8.17: yes/yes/yes
Sunday, 8.18: yes/yes/no exercise (rest day)
    Monday, 8.19: yes/yes/yes
    Tuesday, 8.20: yes/yes/yes

I feel like I'm doing the minimum right now. I am tired and achy all the time, my fibromyalgia flared up again because of the stress of my kid returning to school. Today I was so tired, I barely was able to drive her to school, manage a 20-minute walk, finish a work project by the 8 am deadline--and then I slept from 8 until I had to pick her up at 1 (early release). Honestly, I could go back to sleep right now... gotta hang in there...

Fall is almost here 🍁😍 I don't know about you guys but it's my favorite season. I love the crisp air and smells. The Fall flavors tho usually come packed with the calories tho unfortunately. So I've been collecting up since recipes to get all those yummy fall flavors without all the extra calories. Here's the first one I want try. Sorry for the book here but wanted to share in case someone else feels the same 💜

    Butternut Squash Soup
    1tbsp extra virgin olive oil
    1 med yellow onion diced
    2 med apples diced
    2 med Butternut squash diced
2 cups low sodium veggie or chicken broth
    1 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp nutmeg
    1/4 tsp black pepper
    1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
    3/4-1 1/2 cups coconut milk
    Optional toppings
    Toasted pumpkin seeds
    Fresh sage
Nonfat Greek yogurt or coconut yogurt

    1) cook the onions till translucent in skillet while roasting squash and apples
    2) transfer squash, apples, broth and spices to a crockpot. Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours or on high 3-4 hours. Until squash and apples are tender.
    3) add 3/4 cup coconut milk and puree (either immersion blender or in batches with a regular blender). Add more coconut milk if a thinner consistency is desired.

Can be refrigerated up to 5 days or can freeze up to 3 months.
    Makes eight 1.5cup servings

    Tracked - yes
    Under - yes
    Exercise - no

Plan was to go walking in the afternoon, but rain showers stopped that from happening. I need to plan to have an indoor activity available for times when the rain comes (it happens a lot in SW Louisiana).

Maybe check out youtube exercise videos? Amazon Prime also has a lot of videos included with the sunscription as well

@erikNJ Thanks for the suggestion. Had no idea Amazon Prime had exercise videos - I’ll definitely check it out.

    Busy week so not updated

    Sat: Yes/yes/yes

Sun: yes/yes/yes *had to run for 70 mins to undo damage of Sunday lunch!

    Mon: yes/yes/yes

Tues: yes/yes/rest day (under calories but BAD choices)

Wed yes/yes/kind of - worked 13 hour shift so on feet all day but no time to exercise. Also made terrible choices, choosing chocolate over meals but it got me thru the day and I remainded under.

    Monday weigh in: 153.4 ibs
Loss: 0.6Ib (feels like a lot of effort went into a small loss, heho!)

Must now work to stop feeding my sugar addiction. I thought I'd cured it as I'm largely sensible with eating these days but clearly the last two days have shown this not to be the case!

    Weigh In Day

First, I apologize for letting you down! I think the stress, travel, moving and empty nest caught up with me this week. Despite being under calories and added exercise, I've made some high carb high sodium choices and it shows. Hope to do better next week as I settle into the new home routine.

    Mini challenge

    Wednesday
    Tracked: yes
    Under: yes
Exercise: yes, hiking for 100 min
    Steps: 15,257

@mirendybryant thanks I had a great hike yesterday! Got my steps in and found out that it burns lots of calories even though we were walking very slow we had lots of elevation changes and avoiding roots etc. I was exhausted although we only walked 5.5 km (3.4 miles) @heaz10 how was your hike?

@cossmoss15 great loss this week! My hike was great. We went out later than we hoped and it was pretty dark coming back up the gorge, but great exercise.

@heaz10 --you, too! Thank you! I do feel a bit better today. We walked for 40 minutes this morning, which might have been pushing it a little bit in the Florida heat and humidity. I'm aiming for a "napless Thursday," LOL, but if I need to, I will (not like I get a choice, but you know what I mean.) Gotta take each day a step at a time. Have a great one!

    Friday weigh in

    Last week - 214
    This week - 212.6

In the right direction again and feeling positive (if a little exhausted) from being back at work and much more in a routine for eating 👍🏻

Loved all the posts this week but haven’t been on as much to reply. Adding it to my post dinner routine list for next week!
    Happy weekend everyone xx
