Cinnamon on Keto

Does anyone know if using small amounts of cinnamon is ok on Keto? I make breakfast chaffles, but I don't care for the taste with just egg and cheese. If there is anything else I can add to give them a sweet flavor, please share. I thought about honey since I have that at home, but I doubt that is Keto friendly. I may be wrong though.

Every day? Possible. I used to use Apple Pie Spice which has cinnamon nutmeg and all spice when i started Keto on my beef skillets.

The thing about Keto Friendly is all about context. Keto isn't 20 grams of carbs or lower. That's just the safest possible estimate.

If you're building a lot of muscle, or are an athlete, or do a lot of physical activity, and you're young, and healthy, and a male, your threshold for carbs could be as high as 80-120 and still be in ketosis, not only that but depending on how long you've been low carb you could be in ketosis the next morning.

Matt and Megha from Keto Connect had a food tasting event and they said they went over 100 carbs, and were back in ketosis the next morning.

I could see, fasted workout, lean protein, a couple hours later having honey cinnamon chaffles... fast, sleep, wake up, fasted workout, etc...

I could see that being a routine that works for a few days to build muscle.

I'm not an expert or nutritionist, but that's my take.

Every day? Might worry about Oxolates in the long run, but Cocoa, Turmeric, and Almonds are way worse.

It's fine. 3/4 of a net carb per tsp. https://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/foods/show/260

I haven't thought about it. I put a tsp of (Saigon) cinnamon in some of my keto desserts. I haven't had any issues, no bloat, pain, or keto hangover from it.

I may just give a little cinnamon a try.

I make cinnamon chaffles for my daughter.
2 eggs, 1 cup mozzarella, 2 Oz cream cheese (though I add this to add calories because she needs to gain weight) 1 tsp cinnamon and 1 Tbs swerve. She also eats them with cinnamon/swerve butter. But this is a weight gain protocol for her. Gotta go easy on the cream cheese and butter otherwise.

I love Cinnamon ChaWafffles, too! I use cinnamon in coffee at times and in cooking a few times per week and have not had any issues. As per an earlier post, the carb count is very low.
