Exercise: 90 minute bike ride and some dancing

Calories: over, the bike ride didn’t make up for the amount of drinking... I’ll be extra good today to make up for it :-)

Exercise on day. I got out early cuz Buddy coming over.
Kind of cold. Couple of degrees above freezing except crossing the river is colder.
Weird how that is. Meteorology has something called the lapse rate. I think it means that temperature goes down as elevation increases. But the river is the lowest point so how is it the coldest? I think cold dense air flows down the river from the mountains. But it is kind of an inversion but not like the kind of inversion you see over a city. Just a river inversion.
Go up the hill a bit and the temperature reverses a bit then goes back to "lapsing."
But yeah, I went to the 10k loop and did 5 repeats on the climb leg.
Trail runner girl was there. I think about the intersectionality of seeing her every time I ever go there. She gotta be putting in some mileage. I never ask her. Always opposite direction when I see her and I think she is always running times. Man o man... I hope she don't wear her knees out.
I got passed by a young guy who was pedaling about 2x my speed. I was on my 5th repeat so I took some consolation in that but I don't think I would have fared any better on my first.
Those guys can be young and fast but hey, I am the old man of the mountain.
I put a youtube video clip By some guys that are pretty good videographers.
They got good taste in trails. They frequent my haunts. Seems like I should know them.
This vid starts out with a train going by some little yellow houses. That house off to the right, I camp kind of back there. Train stops there. I like looking at it.
