Checking in for December 1.
Yes x 3 (20 mins bodyweight exercise since unable to walk due to rain).
Congratulations to all who made circle last month. Well done too to those that made it all the way to the end of the month even if not in circle.
Looking forward to being part of December UAC. This month will be quite challenging for me as I am trying to regain some ground I've lost over the past few months. I'm not in as good shape physically as I was 6 months ago.
In the last 6 months:
- Daughter has been in hospital over mental health issues (and missed 2 months of school).
- I changed job (13 years in one company, left to join another - redundancy package from old job, start new job next day - redundancy process commenced before in-writing offer from new company).
- I gained 10 lbs (still middle of normal BMI, but gained more than I wanted).
Needless to say the last 6 months have been stressful.

I am so happy to see that so many of our team members had a great month. There are lots of you who had a great month, even though you may not be in the Winner's Circle. That is the power of good habits. You don't have to be perfect, rather, you do have to be persistent and consistent with the healthy habits upon which this group is founded.
And now, here are those who have posted their November success:

@victorious55 (you are in because of your discipline and actual success)

Glad to see you back in the fold. Felicitations to you and your family. I hope your issues are all resolved.
Congratulations on the new job. And 10lbs up is not so hard to deal with for someone with your determination.

Had two workouts, one long and one short. Inexplicably gained weight, but won't let it get me down.9

1st December
Exercise: Yes, minimal, but made about 30 minutes. Did a very short walk into the city centre, after an early morning, long train ride. Tired. Lucky I did take the early train, because all trains were cancelled from about midday because of the weather and the flooding. Had a phone call from a colleague who's stuck there now ...
Calories: Yes, stayed under.
Tracking: Yes, logged everything.7 -
Worked the whole day in the house today. This contained painting the walls and ceilings of two rooms, moving heavy furniture up and down the stairs by myself, installing electricity. I am going out on a limb and say that counts as my 'twenty' minutes of exercise. My sore muscles seem to agree.
Stayed well within my calorie budget and tracked everything.
Succesful first day!10 -
5km walk to start the day and afternoon nap between church services today. It was our carol service so I was running around helping my friend who is our admin and worship staff member. Not the best food choices but it's within my limit so I'm good.
I I'm technically halfway through 2 weeks off work before crazy season but I went in today to check on one of our seals and I'm in tomorrow to drive two hours to correct a seal pup that will need to be hand raised so I'll be in every day getting the pup onto formula. Oh, well, so much for my leave. I'll take time off after the season is over...8 -
Hi everyone, thanks for having me back! My youngest is just coming up to 6 months and it's time I get back here and start looking after myself again. It was his baptism today and it was a really lovely day but... some of the photos were a real wake up call. I've got some weight to shift and I'm ready to get serious about it.
Today is a yes x 3. Rushing about meant that I didnt have much of the buffet and I was driving various guests so didn't drink.
@craigo3154 that sounds like a rotten few months and I'm so sorry to hear you've been suffering. Your poor daughter. Thank you for being as refreshingly honest and open about it as you are with everything. We're here for you.
@Dory_42 sorry you're missing out on your leave. The pup sounds super cute though!9 -

We had a lovely Thanksgiving holiday with our children and their pups. Our first time meeting Sadie, their newly adopted Brittany. She is beautiful and such a great dog. We had five humans and three pups in the house all weekend so I was in my glory! It's sad to see them head home but the Christmas holiday will be here before we know it and to be honest, the quiet in the house now is nice. Our pup, Ollie, is glad to be the only dog in the house again. LOL! My profile pic is us trying to get a photo with the kids and the dogs. Quite comical!

Did about 20 minutes of power yoga, ate at a deficit, and tracked every bite. Glad to be back, I already made a no snacking choice because I didn’t want to log it! MFP is the best way for me to lose weight, I was able to lose 50+ of baby weight after #1, enjoyed 2 months at my goal weight, then had #2, gained about 60 lbs, and would like to lose that final 25ish! Thanks for running the challenge.8

Today could have been a better day but I did go to the gym elliptical, rowing machine and treadmill logged my food and stayed under6

Thank you. Glad to be back.
The new job is challenging (both scary and exciting). The employer has been fantastic about taking required time to look after family. I have been so grateful for that. Only time will tell if I have bitten off more than I can chew with the challenge of the new role.
I am estimating the 10 lbs will take at least 3 months to shift. UAC will help a lot with that.4 -

I will drop in the occasional soap box post (when the inspiration takes me).
