I was recently diagnosed with type 2. I am looking for recipes, snack foods, etc. Just need help getting started. TIA

    Hi and welcome. There are some great recipes on other Diabetes websites. I guess it depends on the amount of carbs you were told to have each day. The American and Canadian diabetes websites have great tips and recipes.
    When it comes to snacks, always try to balance your carbs with protein. Well, honestly, I guess it's the same with your main meals.

    Did your Dr. refer you to a dietician or send you to Diabetes education classes? And give you or suggest a set amount of calories per day? Reason I ask is what you eat, how much, snacks etc often are in direct relationship to what your calorie, carb, protein, fat numbers you are told they should be.

    There are recipes here, also on all of the diabetes sites. And if you have access to any type of ereader lots of ways to get recipes that way as well. Good Luck
