I did track my food and I did exercise but I’m still eating a bit more than I burn. I see an improvement in my habits but things are not ideal yet.6

Exercise: Y 11K steps including a 5 mile walk/ run on the treadmill plus a 12 minute stroll to cool down.

My exercise is predominately walking, but today I ran 2 miles out of the 5. It was definitely the most strenuous exercise I have had since bike rides during the summer. Felt pretty good...will have to do that more often.
I have been tracking now this time around for about 3.5 months and I still use the scale frequently although I’m getting better at eyeballing things. Try to be conservative, but one area I’m not is when it comes to nut portions. I use a container and know about how full it should be for a serving, but it always seems to end up getting filled a little more. Almonds are easy because of their uniformity and usually get counted, but the walnut pieces are where things get hazy.7 -

The dog is getting a lot more walking with this challenge. I weigh almost everything, otherwise, I start sneaking a little extra of here and there, which kind defeats that purpose of tracking6 -
Exercise? yes, 3 hours of pickleball in the gorgeous sun.

Agreed that starting to weigh everything is a real eye opener. I had no idea how much more than "one serving" I was helping myself to until I started weighing absolutely everything. It drives my partner mad when we are cooking because he doesn't care so much about portion control, but I can't do without it.

Great hike today! 50 minutes going up and then a return trip of only 33 minutes downhill.
Also did one half hour of active back stretches as prescribed by my exercise physiologist
