Here is a nice group of reddish brown barrel cactus. I took this photo during a uphill hike on an unfamiliar trail.16 -

Exercised?: Yes (6 km walk in 46 mins)
Calories?: Yes

Cooler weather today. Can walk faster when it's not as warm.
Raining when I got up this morning, so no flying today.
@RangerRickL. @Chinkiri. Great photos. I'll need to take some pictures of where I walk. It's beautiful, but no where near as open.8 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
YES! I have 53 active minutes on my fitbit ... which is due to bowling, and also walking to the pub and back, as well as walking the dog in the morning.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Yes, but unfortunately, it was mostly liquid calories
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?
Yes, but again, mostly it was 4 beers at the pub tonight. Which always has a terrible and adverse effect on the scales the next day. Ho hum, *sigh*7 -
Beautiful pics @RangerRickL and @Chinkiri. The pictures just aren’t enough to fully appreciate the beauty of these places.
I saw some interesting posts about planting healthy habits in the younger generation. 🌸
I wish I had started earlier but it’s never too late.
Adult obesity and all its ugly complications starts in childhood and in adolescence. 1 out of 3 in the US are either overweight or obese. 2 out of 3 will remain obese in adulthood. Some complications are reversible and some are not. Most teens think that they have the gift of immortality, so even if you tell them that being obese sets them up on a collision course to the number one killer in adulthood, heart disease, they will be oblivious. Self image is of the outmost importance to them so it might be helpful to focus on planting seeds of health and habits that will carry on to adulthood to build their bodies from the inside out. Teach them to make wise decisions nutritionally and mentally. Give them tools, set examples of how to treat their bodies right and maybe they can pass it on. Encourage them to be more active, reduce video games and teach them the importance of sleep. I would start there. Keep it light and keep it fun so hopefully it will last a lifetime.

Hit all 3 goals yesterday (first day of reporting here!) including a first day back to active yoga and boy did I need it - abs and arms are feeling it today. Feeling extra tired as I adjust to lower calories and regular exercise. Plus I’m staving off cravings with an afternoon coffee. Hoping to cut that out next week.10

Beautiful photos. My walks or runs tend to be along the beach so very different scenery. I'll try post one later in the week.
Good day today. Morning 5km walk then church and afternoon planning and preparing for the coming week. I achieved all 3 goals and the milkshake was worth it. The doughnut I should have skipped because it meant I had very little calories available excluding dinner. I survived the bad choice and will hopefully log before I buy next time to check.
Work promises to be quite hectic tomorrow as I have to look after 2 sections with limited staff, Plus stranded seal duties and I need to take my car to the mechanic during a break as it is leaking oil again. Just 2 weeks of work to survive though and then I'm off for 2 weeks to finally get a decent break once everyone else is back from holiday.7 -

Exercised?: No, the reason is because I usually rest on Sundays and exercise on the other days which I will report every day. But, I hope that it doesn't cause me to be thrown out of the winning circle.

Went out to a local restuarant for dinner and half a meal of chicken cacciatore, just the chicken, peppers, and onions, no pasta. It's hard to estimate that, but I think I'm within my allowable calories.

I've noticed the same pattern not eating enough then eating for England!
Ive Also seen the days I don't eat enough protein I go splurge on the carbs.
The last few days especially have been a bit of an emotional rollocoster given I've just finished my masters 2 weeks ago and have no idea what to apply to given i need a real job/career noe. They don't teach you at university what the real world is like mind u that's what work experience is for i guess.
Good night its a new week tomorrow. Let's get back on the wagon!9 -

Burning pass day #1 ....today was day 3 of 13 away from work. Need to be careful as the likelihood of bad things happening foodwise are much greater when I’m around the house rather than at work. Had I executed my plan and got my exercise in before noon I probably would have been okay, but I succumbed to the caramel corn...yeah, you know the kind, the stuff dipped in white and dark chocolate. Well it was pretty much downhill from there. I’m gonna have to get that exercise knocked out early tomorrow to set the tone for the day. Still have hopes of dropping another couple pounds by the time comes to go back to work.10 -
