I have experienced that when you believe something can be done, then you can find a way to accomplish it. If you believe that you cannot achieve a goal, then you will prove yourself right!

Longer walk today than usual. Felt short changed yesterday as I was late and had friends over. Wanted (and needed) the extra time today.
@RangerRickL. Only when you conceive of the impossible can it become possible. Almost 3 years ago when I started with MFP at 88kg, I was overweight, had been for at least 5 years. I could barely believe that believe that *I* could get fit and down to a normal BMI within a year. No only did I do it, but I surpassed my goals (and stayed there ever since).

I'm getting back on MFP after a long hiatus. Time to get those 8 pounds off permanently. Thanks for the quote @RangerRickL .

I'm going to go against the grain today @RangerRickL and put it out there that I'm OK with being ordinary. And I don't think I can do the impossible but I'm happy with what is possible. There's a writer here in the UK who goes by the name 'Hurrah For Gin' who draws stick people. Her New Year's Day message was about being OK with being average. This picture resonated on many levels. In the weight loss world a friend I know shared that she's lost 6 pounds this week. I'm happy with my 1.

I've done so much more than I could have ever imagined so yes, the impossible is definitely possible, but for me it happened through those small little changes of 500 grams a week or less or ability to do one more push up at a time. Don't forget that what may look smaller to you may have taken much more effort, and all of it is worth it!
Today was good. Stuck to the food plan so all logged and within budget. Didn't get ultrasound on shoulder as medical aid may not pay so I'm going to try physio first, but still working on strengthening and getting my fitness back. Jiu Jitsu class was tough but I kept pushing through even if it did mean skipping a few of the drills and resting during some rounds. I even did the fitness after although my pushups are very slight range and burpees were replaced by squats. I did the 40 sit ups though.8 -

I think both @RangerRickL and @am_change are correct in their views.
But, I think @RangerRickL is referring to the fact that in this weight loss world, you are able to lose weight. See yourself losing weight and aim for it. See yourself making the 3x of UAC daily and aim for it. See yourself as successful and aim for it. Look for ways of achieving what is beneficial to you.
But as Henry Ford of the Ford Motor Company said

I think @am_change is referring to quick fixes attitudes that will not lead us to any sustainable success. As for near impossible or "miracle" big weight lost a week, I agree with @am_change, it is not a wise or healthy decision. You did not gain these pounds in 1 day and you will definitely not lost them in 1 day. Accept your today self and aim for or work towards your better self.

All gold stars for the last two days but yesterday I made it just under the calorie wire due to a flirtatious tub of hummus meeting my PMS.
I’m getting back to a regular enjoyable run at the gym but taking it slow because the joints ain’t what the used to be! Slowing my pace a bit to 4.5-5 mph made all the difference in enjoyability. I’ll work my way back up over time. Two 3 milers down. Tonight will be power yoga... pray for my arms.12 -
I am finally back to logging tomorrow! I've had a lot of work stress, and the situation I had to deal with has been resolved!!! Motivation is returning!12

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? 33 minutes at PF, including recumbent bike, treadmill, leg press leg extension, and hydromassage. I had to leave early to get Ollie to vet to have his 3-week checkup for diabetes. His number came down this week! Yea!!

Everyone is capable of achieving more. But we can also decide when we are enough. I Believe in my own ability to achieve whatever I decide to do. If one believes in ones abilities, one looks for alternatives until a way is found. Giving up is not an option.

Down 68 lbs. (I was down 80 in july,but gained some due to my knee surgery and holidays. First gain tho in the 3 yrs.) So This is a new yr.with new goals. So I'm ok with it. I have to admit tho I did cry at first, I dnt want to undo all my accomplishment of my weight loss.8 -

FYI: if you eat a lot of the same foods regularly or if you make meals on MFP and repeat them, it's worth double-checking all the calorie and nutrient values for those foods. I've been checking my reports more closely to see how I'm doing on fiber and vitamins, and I've discovered that there are a lot of inaccuracies out there.9 -

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, 40 minutes today. We joined the Y, yesterday. Not sure if it will be a regular visit, but we had a new Y open on Sept 30. It is about 13 miles from our home, so stopped in yesterday, for the first time, to check out the facility. Walked the track today and made use of the elliptical and the recumbent bike. I'm sure when it's below zero, I will continue to be quite comfortable doing my exercises at home.

3 X’s yes. Slow morning with an hour of Pilates and an hour of yoga, turned it up this evening with an hour of kick boxing.
I love that I can workout this much in winter.
Really good on calories, it’s been challenging but feeling better about it.

I think they should add an “agree” and a “funny” one. Although maybe I might think someone was being funny when they weren’t trying to be. So maybe not. I do have a warped sense of humor.5 -

I have a saying I found out there somewhere I have on my apple watch and it keeps me going each day “the body achieves what the mind believes “ I believe that I can, some days are more difficult then others and I am ok if I am not successful today but I don’t give up trying. Point? We all know our limitations but if we can try a little harder we will get where we want to be.6
