@craigo3154 and @RangerRickL I’m so sorry to hear about what you’re each currently going through and very inspired and grateful that you’re nevertheless finding the time to support this community.

Jan 13: 3 x yes today. 2/3 pass days used so far. Exercise was PT exercises and 30 min body weight exercises. Tracked everything and currently 180 kcal under. I’m not feeling very hungry and may not eat my exercise calories back today. Tomorrow I’ll have to buy some more fruits and veg, my intake has been slipping to below where I would like to be.

I forgot: I’m not amazing at rewarding myself. Much more likely to focus on my shortcomings than my successes. That said, I plan to go clothes shopping when I reach my goal weight. Because I refused to buy anything new before I shed the extra pounds some of my stuff is starting to look quite worn...

    yes x3 today.
Was under though surprised that 1+ hour of biking and an hour of parkour (logged in Fitbit as gymnastics) plus almost 9k steps (I take my watch off for parkour so sadly it won't count that hour as having any steps even though I can log it after for calories) only gave me 158 Cal according to MFP. Yet in Fitbit it estimated those as a bit over 400 and I have mfp set to lightly active which should be similar to the steps I had today. I know I'd be subtracting the Cals that I'd burn anyway just by being alive during those two hours, but I'm wondering if the Fitbit/ mfp sync is a bit off.

For reward I'm not sure what I do. I like to do various things to enjoy life, but not sure if I count that as necessarily a reward. Though when I reach my weight goal I'm thinking of rewarding myself by making some chocolate chip cookie dough...

Oops, posted today on yesterday. Anyhow, yes x 3, big hike w dog at the beach.

I hadn't realized it, but I really don't reward myself. But, now that you mention it, I'm going to do it, and buy myself a new dress once I reach my goal weight. :)

The last time I can recall had such a situation was on holiday in Phuket in Thailand over 4 years ago (problem is that is an expensive reward).
Craig...would enjoy learning of your experience in Phuket. We, tentatively, leave for Singapore and a SE Asia cruise in February. Phuket is one of our ports of call. I say, tentatively, only because of the natural occurring phenomena in SE Asia that could disrupt travel plans.

Very sorry for the disruptions caused by the fires in Australia....and now, concern for the Philippines.

@w8goal4life. Phuket is relaxing. Usually warm weather. Lots of shops and products are generally inexpensive. Plenty of nightlife if that is what you are in to. Accommodation is likewise inexpensive and hospitality is good. Great place to be pampered. Most Thai in Phuket speak decent English too.

The expensive bit is getting there and back (airfare from Australia).

@ShareASmile Good luck with your upcoming surgery. Maybe look into chair yoga while you recover?
@KCJen Yay! I'm here for the same reason, to develop healthy habits.

Ex: 108 mins 2 walks - another gorgeous day
    My Ex is Always > 20 mins.💯

Tracked: All, every bite. I always do.💯

    Calories: under!!!! YAY

Getting back in the saddle: 6️⃣ day streak with my calories.

MY BLOOD PRESSURE continues to cone down. Sodium is low, appetite is back to nil, fruit/veggies are up. Weight is down.

    Going for the Winners’ Circle❣️

    Pass Days Remaining: 1
Pass Day used: Jan 1 (traveling home)
    Jan 7

Reward: I've only used a couple over 4 years - to very good effect - mostly just to turn the ship around when I need an extra incentive.

I want to try encaustic painting, so my reward for getting back to 155 & my healthy habits is being able to purchase the needed supplies. My rewards are often something I would get anyway, but I can use them to my healthy advantage.

In the past, if I didn’t eat out, I’d occasionally let myself use the money I saved at Michael’s or JoAnn’s or I’ll say “ok you can spend $5 at Jo-Ann’s” I get a TON of steps and happily entertain myself as I truck around (like a kid with get allowance) deciding one the best thing!! LOL
