January 15
Exercised? YES, Some walking, some stairs, some calisthenics in the office at lunch. It added up.
Tracked? YES
Calories? YES
Passes Used: 2/3
NSV: I'm not sure what counts. I survived the winter ski trip injury free last week (and had a great time on the slopes) & I had a productive meeting today with my partner in a new creative venture. That's all I got.8 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, just stretching, arm physical therapy and abs.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes but it’s been really hard the last few days. Maybe because I haven’t been working out but I’m feeling burnt out. Could be hormonal.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes.6 -
Yes x3. 45 minutes of swimming laps.
NSV - following through on some goals - like weekly swimming! I’ve been wanting to start that for years. And I’m sticking with it even though it’s challenging and there are people at least 25 years older than me who swim laps around me. They are my inspiration!9 -
Yesx3!6

Exercise: yes
Calories: yes
Tracking: yes
NSV - Feeling good about the progress I have made in the new year - consistent exercise, healthy food, less alcohol and sugar, and joining a gym even though I don't really have time to fit it in. Slow progress but but every bit counts.8 -
3xyes. Body weight strength training in the am and PT in the evening. Tracked and two cals under. 2/3 pass days used so far.
NSV: After a few bad years, my stress level has gone down enough to finally feel like I can tackle getting back into shape again.12 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? NO (worked on personal projects)
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? did not count, as I was sooo hungry in the evening, but I also didn't overdo it.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? No
NSV...I haven't binged eaten in 46 days. Sometimes I feel I come close and then realize I want to keep my streak going. It's a daily struggle, though.15 -
I so appreciate each of you. It's great to read how much better so many of you feel both physically and emotionally.
@TerriRichardson112 and @pridesabtch Thanks for your new photos. You both look so happy!

This is my first week at work in January. I spend part time in Arizona and part time in Chicago metro. It is hard to be full-time mentally in either place when I am going back and forth.
Exercise was minimal but enough
Tracking was good
Calories had a good margin under limit.
My NSV is that I am rigorously doing the active stretching exercises assigned by the exercise physiologist. These exercises have reduced my lumbar back pain and helped me to feel much more flexible. I am not yet allowed other more strenuous exercises. I do miss my cardio-strength workouts, but I fully expect to be able to do more soon.8 -
Exercise? Yeah. 39 minute walk. 20 minutes yoga.
Within my calorie goal? Yes, but close.
Tracked everything? Yes.
I love reading everyone's NSV. I'll try to have one next month. Bad evening here.10 -
YES x3. Exercise was 45 minutes HIIT and 55 minutes walking.4

Exercise: yes.
Calories within goal: yes

NSV: my belly is slowly shrinking, I’m meal planning, and my mood is better despite the cold weather. The best part is no more grazing like a cow at night.6 -

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, 20 minutes indoor aerobics at home today
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes...and under by >600 (I had to make up for yesterday's cookies! I also waited until the end of the evening to make my post to avoid a repeat performance of last night.)
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes
NSV is logging in for 106 days in a row as of today. That streak will be broken next month when we are on vacation, again. Another NSV is joining the Y this month and getting some exercise on the elliptical and the recumbent bike. I'm not one for gyms...but DH accompanies me, so we'll give it a try a couple times a week for these colder months.6 -

pass 5/3It goes without saying I am all out of whack.
Made it to the mountainside track this morning.
Temperature right at freezing. Early enough to get ahead of the morning commute traffic.
Heh, early enough to hear some coyotes singing, howling, crooning, whatever that sound they make. Little bit spooky but mostly kind of cool.
Climbed up the road for my first hill repeat.
Went down, seen a road grader grinding up the road that I spent hundreds of iterations memorizing.
I bet you guys don't know what it is like to memorize a road. To know where every sweet line is through the rocks and ruts jarring jolts etc.
So they are grading my road. Why am I disturbed?
Ugh... because it makes the road comfortable for a broader spectrum of vehicles and it makes the road faster for rattletrap trucks. Those guys that I used to be faster than because of my knowledge of the sweet lines between all of the jolts.
Ack!
So the road grade is antagonizing me and my plans.
So I go out to single track. I wonder if I got any pictures of single track anywhere?
I go to the lowest place in that "park" and find the bottom of a trail marked "bobsled."
I always been curious about that track but I think you are supposed to go down it rather than up it. Heh, somehow the name implies that.
SoI am going up Bobsled. That is a jumpy track, but I am going up the backside of them jumps. Ain't no jumping unless you go the other way.
But those little backsides required some hefty climb "bursts."
I think I might climb that five or six times or so and then try my hand at descending it.
I did a descent on some kind of trail I forgot the name of.
I been on it before but not very often.
I might have been going too fast and I brushed against this Juniper. I thought that branch was pliable enough to bend a tad. But it turned out that Juniper decided that I was more pliable than his branch. So he kind of deflected me into a cactus that I had been managing to avoid on previous circuits.
So I got some cactus out of the deal but that don't make me any faster or skinnier for that matter.
Can't find a picture of representative singletrack so I will put a picture of a weird guy giving me a ride in his sleigh last month. (campsite me and Buddy stay at in the summer)
