You have done fantastic. Give yourself credit for the pounds down. I know a regain can mess with your head. The work never stops after goal.
My surgical team told me a 15 to 20-pound bounce after goal is common. I lost a regain in my third year. It was not easy to get my discipline back. (I did get the weight off) Five years out, I’m up 10lbs. I'm back eating my plan. My weight loss is at a snail’s pace.

It has been a stressful 6 months and then all of the goodies of the holiday...it’s time to nip the regain in the booty.😉
My personal goal is 169 so I plan to be there by next summer, or hopefully sooner. If I can get to 169, I plan to get my arms done.

Goal Weight: 155.0 (maybe 150...we'll see)
Got back on track on 12/1 when I noticed I was inching toward 180 (weighed in at 178.2 that morning) and no way I'm allowing myself to get "that close" to 200!! Went back to basics, journaling, water, no white flour and no white sugar. Also started clean 16:8 IF (sometimes 18:6), but always clean) and that has really helped me get my mindless snacking under control. I think I was probably consuming an additional 1,000 calories in just snacking alone!! Down almost 10 pounds since the 1st and feeling great!
Note: this is not the first time in nearly 9 years that I've worked on losing regain. It's real. It's manageable. Just as long as you don't let it get away from you. I typically like to stay within a 10 pound window and this time I let that window get WAY bigger at almost 25 pounds, but it's still better than working off a 50 or 75 pound regain.2 -

Stuck in a stall right now (for the last 3 months) due to inching back into emotional eating. Getting back on track now so I can start losing again.

I had the sleeve done on December 2nd, 2019. I'm female and I started at 294.4 and am at 272.8 and still losing.
My biggest obstacle besides getting enough water each day is getting enough protein. I hate protein shakes and I can't eat very much right now. Feel free to add me.2 -
Surgery date Nov 20, 2019. Starting weight 295, surgery weight 252, weight now 240.6. I haven't had any problems at all with water, food, physical or mental. Just seem to be at a stand still so quickly. I take one day at a time.

I understood that there could possibly be a weight gain, but I have allowed myself to go way overboard. I really hate to tell people I had the bypass surgery as I am embarrassed with the weight I have gained. I need to get my head on and use this tool I was given to assist with the weight loss process. Thanks for letting me vent4 -
Hi I had my surgery October 3rd 2019. My highest weight was 270, I lost 40 pre surgery using MFP, and now I weigh in at 197. I have hit a plateau, partially because of Holiday Food Choices and partially because I don't know why??? I am walking 3 plus miles a day with a calorie intake between 700 and 900. Any advice???1

I get it rosie5456 My surgery was 2001 and since my 200 pound loss I have gained 80. I lost 40 of it and gained it back. I was told most gain back 40 to 60 percent but I was determined to be different... but I slowed down then stopped the exercise and then restarted eating sugar. Here I am again.
We can get it back, the surgery is still helpful.

I've been working hard the past year to loose weight and get back into a healthy lifestyle. I walk 5-6 miles five times a week and try to track everything that goes into my mouth on MFP.
I may never get back to my lowest weight, but it's been exciting to get back into normal size clothes AND have people notice the weight loss. Once the first 20 lbs were gone, the actual weight loss became my motivation!!!

Imdh...dont give up! You have already proven you can do it, because you have done it before!! I've lost 7 pounds since my last post, but it is a daily struggle. I hope it is not going to be like this forever!!! The surgery curbed my capacity but not my cravings and stress related eating reflex I know I need to find a way to deal with my emotions in some other way besides eating, I guess that is the hard part!

I had a sleeve done in 2017.
Surgery weight was around 281
Lowest weight was 222
Today I weighed in at 258
It’s been a struggle. I stopped caring and started returning to old habits (stress/emotional eating) and regained most of the weight. Currently getting back to more mindful eating and portions. Hoping to lose my regain and then some by summer!0 -
Hi there
Perfect timing for me to share as i hopped on the scales this morning.
Starting weight 116kg
Surgery day 111kg October 2017
Lowest weight 66kg which was 1 year ago
Currently 76kg
It wasn't until about June that i started putting on weight. My boss, who was also my best friend, died. I normally throw myself into work if home is not so good, abd vice versa, so this time I had no escape. I couldn't really stomach food so went back to eating soups which was my downfall and why I got so heavy in the first place; too many carbs and not enough calories! I bounced back up to about 73kg in just a few weeks. I had remained stable until about a month ago when this covid19 stuff came up. I'm working from home now so less active, more likely to snack, I've been eating convenience foods like cuppa soups and I also caved and bought easter eggs and hot cross buns theyve been in shops since December last year, so I did well to last this long!
