Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, lots of activity today, stripping X-mas tree (dexterity), vacuuming, moving furniture, more vacuuming, dog walks, shoveling snow. Did you ever try to take lights off a pre-lit Xmas tree? DH and I spent almost the whole day on that project. GE did a good job of fastening them with clips, winding, half hitches & other knots. Very frustrating , but my tree is naked now ! First time it's been down in probably 6 years.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes6 -

Stay safe, everybody dealing with winter weather. Lots of ice here on the PA/MD border, which is why I'm grateful for the gym.3 -

We had the "wintry mix," too. I think maybe 5 inches.

With things like sandwiches I crave something crunchy-- what are everyone's favorite healthier alternatives to chips? Almonds and carrots? Other ideas?
I gained so much weight eating chips. They taste good, but like the old ad says, you can't have just one.
My alternatives:
A small salad (spinach, romaine lettuce, shredded carrots, cucumbers, whatever else I have on hand, with balsamic vinegrette -- it's crunchy, filling, and takes a while to eat
Sliced apples with almonds

Chips ... I like these chips called Cheetos. I used to always buy them in what I thought was a single serve bag. You know, from those shelves kind of by check out.
But they ain't single serve. It says 3.5 servings at 170 cals per.
Yikes! 600 calories!
I still do it but not very often.
I used to do it like every time I went to the store.
Ugh. 600 calories day in and day out until I read the label.
Crunchy ... sometimes sugar snap peas.4 -
Yes to all 3. 8 mile run this morning, ate under calories and logged all.4

Working nights this weekend and driving home yesterday morning was a real treat with 5 inches of slush on the roads. Took 20 minutes longer to get home and when I got there I got into the fridge...not bad, but burning 400 calories that early wasn’t in the plan. Then to top it off coming back into work tonight were some leftover donuts (my personal weakness)the bossman brought in for dayshift that they neglected to finish. So those put me just over my calorie limit and,not wanting to burn a pass day, I went out for another 65 minute stroll at 10:30 to salvage the day. Not a good carb day though....5 -

Exercised?: Yes. Marched today for about 25 minutes at a fairly brisk pace. My total steps for today are close to 9000, which is more than twice most days!
Calories?: Yes

Another Pass Day. I was doing well, but then got tempted by the cheese and wine I'd bought for my partner and by the chocolate I also keep for him, so I was over calories and the tracking got lost in the process.
Exercise: Yes, half an hour's walking and twenty minutes of low impact aerobics on a Conley video, although I have to admit I got somewhat confused about the steps ...
Better today, I hope, but I have to start on my Tax return, which is due at the end of the month. This always puts me in a foul mood...
On the positive side: I'm still losing weight and centimetres and wore a pair of trousers yesterday that I hadn't been able to get into for years!5 -
Lots of unbroken, sparkling sunshine here!
Pass day #3 day out with hubby & a lovely evening meal
Exercise yes 60 min cleaning, 180 min walk around Bury St Edmunds UK

I was never a fan of any salted snacks in the chips aisle to begin with, so avoiding them has not a problem for me. DH loves chips...and there are always chips in the house, but they are very rarely something I will eat. My downfalls are definitely sugar and chocolate. Having said that, I've been at the low end of maintenance for years while still managing to satisfy my cravings. I find sweets such as pudding/custard made with almond milk, ice cream and plain chocolate to be less calorie laden than baked goods...but the baked dessert monster still rages now and then because I love pies, cookies, cake, cheesecake and the comfort desserts like bread pudding and cobblers!7 -

Well, we had company last night for dinner and games, luckily I did the cooking so I could track calories. I literally came in about 50 under and that included the wine and brownie. With vertigo I can't really drink much, so probably shouldn't even have had the wine, but it kept me from drinking more than a glass.............LOL I also sabotaged the brownies by putting nuts on top of all but one little corner and that was my corner since I don't eat walnuts. The things we do.......................
Exercise: Yes, put in 30 minutes of hip therapy and another 15 of strength training at home
Calories: It was close but I made it just under. I think pre-logging all of it helped
Tracked: Yes, all of it and underestimated calories burned to force myself to stay under
Still only used one pass day so far. Next weekend is San Francisco so I may take one or two then
Have a great Sunday everyone!

Crunchy snacks..............I like popcorn for that. I had to quit chips cold turkey because I really cannot eat just one. Occasionally if I have room for them I'll have a couple of crackers with a bit of sharp cheese.
Basically I have the same cravings as @w8goal4life, baked goods. Coffee cake, cheesecake and cobblers or fruit pies. I don't bake very often anymore...............4 -

Exercise: yes. It included shoveling snow.
Calories within goal: no. I made food for a party but an ice storm prevented travel, so ate some of the treats instead.Normally wouldn’t have this type of food in the house.

Pass day 4️⃣. Saturday is my greatest challenge. My energy level is very low and I kept getting dizzy every time I got up (low blood pressure). Calories were over, but I managed a very slippery and icy run on the Lakeshore. People out running were much more friendly than usual, everyone was both proud they were out and scared they would slip and fall. I didn’t, but had to stop into a mall for a few minutes on my way home to warm up.3

Chips do me in too. It's not the most exciting thing, but I measure out 100 calories of pretzels as a substitute for chips. I don't get as crazed with the pretzels and can stop myself.6 -
