Welcome to the February 2020 Ultimate Accountability Challenge!
Some of you have been with this challenge for months and some are brand new. This is one of the hardest challenges to stay with throughout the entire month.
FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS!! Log every BLT (Bite, Lick, Taste). Stay strong and true to yourself....YOU WILL SUCCEED!!
Please feel free to share as much information as you feel comfortable sharing about yourself with the rest of the group. I look forward to getting to know all of you a little better.
GOOD LUCK!

I just joined this group mainly because I can't seem to stay on track by myself. I am at 206 right now, and my doctor says i should be around 175 to 180 for my height. I got down to 186 about 3 years ago, for my daughters wedding, but gone back up now. Plus I have high cholesterol and have had 2 stints put in my heart like 10 years ago, so these make it important to maintain a lighter body mass. I used to "juice" a lot, so want to get back into that as well. I put our elliptical in the front room, so I will try to ride that after eating a meal for at least 20 min a day. I love to walk, but have heal spur issues right now. Plus, i want to lose more weight before we head to FL on Feb 21st and bike down there. I am 62, so not getting any younger, need to do it now. Thanks, Marty from Michigan9

Hi! I joined this group because I think I'm finally getting into the habit of logging my meals and having more realistic expectations of myself about food. I'm really struggling with prioritizing getting in movement minutes every day. I'm hoping that this group will serve as an extra layer of accountability.
I am a full time working mom to three awesome, active kiddos (6, 5, 2). My biggest goal is to teach them to have a positive relationship with their bodies and with food. I didn't learn these skills until, well now. I still struggle from time to time with disordered thinking. I work really hard not to project that in front of them.
Feel free to friend me! My diary is open and I've just started to post socially.8 -
Hello I joined this group to make myself accountable. I am 236 lbs and 55 years old with osteoarthritis in most of my joints. I have been given until April to try and be down near 12 lbs. I hate exercise but love weights so I hope this group will motivate me to do more. I am down two pounds in January so far. thank you for this opportunity Kathy from Canada.9

Hello all I was a member of UAC for 6 months last year and never missed a day. This challenge is the perfect motivation for endurance and keeping things going daily even in some small way. In my 6 months I missed the WC once. On Sept 29 I had a very serious injury in my yard and broke more than a dozen bones. After spending 6 weeks in the hospital I was able to begin Physical Therapy and it's month 2 so I'm hoping to be able to re-join in Feb. Feb is my one year anniversary for joining MFP pretty ironic that I am starting over at square 1. Never underestimate the benefits of healthy living. Stay humble, one day you are rocking the exercise and the next someone is putting your sox on for you. See you all in Feb!10

Hi there. I joined UAC about 15 months ago. I find the support and accountability invaluable.6

I'm in for month #14! Love this challenge -- it's the best and really helps me stay accountable.7

Hello, everybody. This will be my sixth month with the UAC. Last year I went from obese to a normal weight and have been maintaining since November. I'm here to reinforce healthy habits, watch what I eat and how much, and make sure I do some exercise every day. The UAC helps me stay accountable. Glad to be back again.

Hello, entering month 5 here!5

Hello everyone and welcome to the newcomers! I joined this group in December to stay accountable through the holidays and it worked. I ended up losing a couple of pounds in December. I'm 69 and have been here at MFP for over 6 years and am trying to maintain a 50 to 60 lb weight loss. Maintenance, for me, has been just as difficult as losing the weight.
I find if I pre-log my meals and get some exercise in every day then I can do it. Hence this group is fantastic for keeping me accountable to just those very things.
Good luck everyone!6 -
Hi everyone. I am brand new to the challenge. This is exactly what I am looking for. I have been on MFP for many years. I've lost and gained back so many pounds because I haven't had accountability. I'm looking forward to starting the challenge.
Feel free to friend me8 -
Hi everyone! I’m new to the challenge. I just started back to MFP in January and it’s been going really well. I’m looking for that extra accountability to keep me going as the shine of January starts to wear off. Looking forward to be a part of this challenge!6
-
Hello all. I took a break from MFP for a bit and came back in November. February will be my second month in this group. I credit this group for helping me to eliminate my continuous snacking from 8pm - 11pm.8

Hi folks, signed up for February, hopefully, this challenge will give me the 'kick start' I've been looking for. Have been with MFP for quite a few years now with the weight see-sawing too much of late.5

Thanks, @Hollis100 !!! I'm all in!3 -
Hi from Germany! I'm joining this for the first time hoping it will challenge me to lose that 6kg I've been trying to do for years. Its so much harder post menopause too!
Does yoga & strength training count as exercise or is it just cardio?
I'll be happy to be someone's "cheer buddy" to keep you accountable if you'll do the same for me!6 -
@Fongyi3, yes, any exercise for 20 minutes counts! Welcome!3
-
Thanks @BonnieHosk85 !2

I'm new to the challenge and am hopeful that this will help keep me accountable especially for the 20mins day of exercising. I find that one day I go all out exercising one day and then some days I'm not moving enough. I'm trying to change my habits no matter what life is throwing at me. Let's do this!5

Hi all, I am Macilia. I wish to lose about 30kg that I aquired 😂 after baby number 2. I joined the group for the accountability and Motivation. So far my main problem is over eating. I intend to log my daily calories and do 10,000 steps per day. My Main goal this month is to make this a habit.6
-
Hi all, joining the group because I have lost my work out buddy, and I do so much better when I have an accountability partner. Looking forward to the group!5
-
Hi there this is my first month and what a great challenge this is.. I was signed off training last May and at 36 yrs old I didn't think a COPD diagnosis would hit me like a ton of bricks but anyway now that my treatment Is under control I am able to train again (finally) so I am hoping this challenge will help me stay accountable. Feel free to add me as a friend, im a nice person just hoping to get my mojo back and stay healthy. I hope everyone achieves their goals xx7
-
Hi friends, both old and new!
February will be my 3rd month as a member of UAC. I am newly in maintenance and struggling a bit with it.5 -
Hello,
I just joined this group today. I searched so many groups before finding this one! I love challenges but mostly if I have someone challenged right along with me. I can keep myself accountable, I just need a cheer buddy haha.
10 years ago I used this app to help me lose 50 lbs. Here I am again after 3 pregnancies and unable to get back to my natural shape and in desperate need of losing that same 50 ish pounds. Before I never used any groups but now this seems like a fun way to get in touch with others who understand where I am at in life.
I homeschool my 2 kids and make sure I keep the house in order along with our 3 dogs and 2 cats. I always make sure I have 25 minutes to exercise every day so this seems like a great challenge to start with!8
