On track 3x yesHeh! Got a bunch of PRs this morning. But really that is just because I went in territory I don't frequent. I.e. if it is new territory of course the first entry will be a personal record.
Monday was my last "exercise on" day. I got stuck in traffic. I put my bike on the roof and portage up to a trailhead. But there was construction that I spent 20 minutes or more creeping through.
So I got to get up like an hour earlier to beat that traffic or figure a new strategy.
This morning I figured I will just ride my bike through that traffic instead of driving. It isn't like they can run over me, they ain't moving.
So this morning I ride through there all smug like. The bicycle that is 5x faster than cars. Don't know why I thought that was fun. Yup, that's the kind of biker I am.
Rode twice as far as I usually do but din't even get half the climb I am used to. Way shallower of grade. A lot of it just plain flat. All that climbing I done has got me pretty fast for the flats these days.
Hard part of that episode is that it always goes by the beer store on the way back.
Tracking, tracking... arguably a 1300 calorie exercise effort, so here is me not successfully making it past the beer store..
Ugh. Counting down the days until I get Buddy to come over again. He's my little Buddy. I am his favorite person. That is what I like to think.10 -
@craigo3154 Thanks for sharing your journey. I've known many who have helped by medication and many whose problems were worse due to medication. I do pray that you continue to work with excellent professionals and explore alternatives.

@espangii I agree! everything goes better with food, until the next day or the next week. That is why I am here too.

Wow to me! Yes to logging, yes to calories, and yes to exercise. It was the 5 mile hike that kept me within my caloric range. Good thing I logged my exercise. I’d rather not do that again though. I need better planning to head off my sweet tooth.9

I like cooking with mushrooms, garlic, and onions6 -
A good day. Well within calories and good food choices (this is easy for me on routine days when I have planned in advance.)
Exercise was 30 minutes of swimming. I'm slow but it was really good for my shoulder and ankle and I love the water.
Work was busy as it is feed and vet day with all the volunteers, my colleague was sick and it is our new intern's second day! Oh yes, and I got bitten on the nose by one of the boas. Nothing serious, but being a facial bite it bled profusely.
I like garlic but limit my use as mom is highly allergic and even the smell of me cooking in my house drifting through to her house can affect her. I love adding heat so chilli's etc are regulars in my cooking.
@craigo3154 Bacon dipped in chocolate is AMAZING!!! I have made it...

Love the garlic graphic.
Favorite food:
A salad with baby spinach (I have one almost every day)
Fresh fruit. Right now I'm on a blueberry and blackberry kick.
Mexican food. My younger brother and I once traveled around Mexico looking at historical Mayan ruins. I became a big fan of the local food during the trip.5
