With all the quarantines and social distancing going on it will make getting out harder. I am hoping that by May I will be singing a different tune. But for now I say stay safe. Walk if there is no one around and clean your home otherwise.

This is a good time to learn how to facetime or other means of video visiting with your friends and family

I really like the idea of recreating for April. Nice title! Probably one of the weirdest aprils any of us have ever had right? I'm just sitting here thinking about how I set a goal last year to lose some of my regain by this summer. I don't know exactly how much I've lost but when I stopped weighing January it was 20 lb. I'm probably down at least 5 more pounds maybe a little bit more.

I keep trying on those size 10 jeans and they are slowly getting looser. Of course it's not fast enough and I'm sure my expectations aren't correct lol :-) but just grateful that I'm going in the right direction and managing to stay the course during this pandemic.

Good reminder that we should not be so hard on ourselves. So easy to let that scale dictate your feelings or that one food choice throw us off course. We are really doing well ladies and will continue to get closer to our goals.

    Happy Friday!

Love your friends photos. The guys in the middle have the right idea for sure.

This pandemic is making getting to the gyms hard. And if you live where there is a high population even outdoors could be crowded. Wyoming is sparsely populated. While it is often a disadvantage it is not so now. Lots of wide open spaces to walk in. I am grateful that we bought that property that year. It will give us a place to go and relax. Enjoy the outdoors and breathe in some fresh air.

My weight has gone up a bit. I need to start logging regularly. Seeeeeeems to help.

Going for my first car ride today...in the rain...what happened to our beautiful blue skies??? No walks for us unless it clears up.

My weight is going crazy. No exercise makes such a difference.

Have a great Saturday, my friends.

Weighing and tracking my food is helping. I'm down 2 pounds and may have lost my cravings (finally!). Getting rid of the carbs in my house: gave away an unopened quart of Odwalla OJ and have two unopened boxes of oats to find homes for.

Karen, I've regained 30# twice now. I just had to buy a pair of "fat jeans" (because I'd gotten rid of all my old stuff) and can't wait to put them in storage. I weighed 170 last week, which is why I'm back on MFP. Seeing you guys again is just an extra treat, and having this surrealistic free time to visit is so nice.

Chris, I'm going walking in that very same rain now. The only thing it changes is to make me stick to the streets since trails become too muddy and slippery. Miss the sun though, it helps with the moodiness caused by all this strangeness.

Shelley, When you said you were going to the gym, it caught me by surprise. I'm already used to the new mind-frame we have in California; all our bars and gyms are closed. If we don't need to go out for essentials (food/work) we don't go out at all (well, most of us) but it was a hard concept to glom onto.

Hello ladies, hope you are all well under these surreal times. I had to step away for a bit...I was just feeling a little overwhelmed and stressed. Haven’t been exercising or following a healthy plan. Time to put the brakes on and get with the program. It starts today. I have gained - 192.2 this morning but believe me it could have been a lot worse. It is what it is, not going to beat myself up.

Chris - it looks like you came through surgery well. I know you will be back at it very soon.

Karen - you are Mrs Consistency. Keep it up and I’ll try to follow your lead.

Shelley - missed you my friend. We’re totally shutdown in Georgia. The gyms closed weeks ago. I really miss Planet Fitness. I had a great routine going. And now they have put up barricades and I cant go to my Park to walk. Going to have to rely on videos and my recumbent.

Paula - I was so shocked and happy to see your post. You were missed. You always put a smile on my face. Now I have extra incentive to get it together. :D

Today we were supposed to be boarding our spring break cruise ship. My how times have changed...I may never take a cruise again. Our girls trip to Jamaica be t month has also been cancelled.

My family is well and I hope you and your families are as well. We will get through this.

    Take care.

Kathy! Glad to see you! Sorry about your cruise but happy you are safe.

We walked in a light drizzle this afternoon and just as we walked in the front door the down pour started. Glad our walk was just around the block. It's supposed to clear up tonight so we can walk longer tomorrow. Pat is working on one of our lap tops so we can have a better video appt w/my Doc tomorrow. That will be interesting. I'll keep you posted.

Kathy - I'm so sorry about your cruise. We've taken many cruises over the years and just love them. I'm very worried about the cruise ship industry after all this. Wonder if it'll bounce back.

Had a really rough couple of days at work because I also have to plan any employment actions with Coronavirus. This is the worst part of management. It is really hard not to think about the impact on the family. I always say if it doesn't rip you up then you should go do something else. Makes you human.

Woke up this morning thinking about my job. Nothing is safe anymore unfortunately. I work for a bus a few levels up is really not a nice Haven. He doesn't understand anything my team does and frankly don't care. Praying nothing happens on that end.

going to write in my journal and drink my coffee and smap myself out of this funk. I hope everybody has a great Wednesday!

I hope you start feeling better, Karen. Working for idiots is so hard.

Had video appt w/Doc yesterday. I am on track and doing fine. Need to come off the hard meds in the next couple of weeks. Not the most fun, for sure.

Got two Cat in the Hat books for Ronan...funny thing is I couldn't stand Cat in the Hat when the kids were little. They didn't have any of those books. Oh, well. Ronan was telling us about 1 fish, 2 fish, red fish, blue fish the other day. It was so darling, so that's the reason for the two new books.

I'm going to read today. Have a great Wednesday, my friends. Stay safe.

Kathy, so nice to hear from you! Glad you weren't on a cruise when the virus hit (shudder).

Karen, I'm dealing with a constant underlying unrest from so much unknowing. I hope you can kick the worry that has beset you. It sounds like the adrenaline from this uncertain time may be amplifying the daily stress of management. I hope you can suppress it by knowing there are somethings we have no control over; and sometimes (often) it doesn't help to worry; so just let it go. I've been practicing this lately. It is easier said than done. But reminders help, and this is my mantra.

Chris, Make sure you taper off the hard stuff slowly. I made the mistake of going cold turkey and it almost made me suicidal (literally). If you cut back slowly that doesn't happen at all. Such a difference.

Shelly, hope you are doing well.

I'm blessed to have options to fall back on. Am enjoying the free time to connect with friends on FaceBook. Tracking my food. Doing well. :)

Kathy -glad you are seeing progress.

Chris - good report from the doc is awesome.

Paula - thanks what are your thoughts. Trying to not dwell....my pattern I guess.

I took off today....I need it. I’m also going to be delivering Easter dinner tomorrow to my family since we can’t eat together. So prepping and baking today. We will do a Zoom meeting and share virtually.

Wish I had slept better. Only 4 hours :( maybe the sugar from those recees cups I ate..... :)

    Happy Friday!

Thanks, Karen. Had to look up exercises for weeks 4-6 because PT only gave me 1-4. Oh, well. found some good stuff.

Good going, Kathy! Keep it up.

Paula, I had to come off the hard stuff when I had my back surgery. Only two days that I really didn't want to do anything but then I was fine. Don't like this stuff because it might be the reason I had two bowel obstructions. The absolute worse in the whole world. Making sure it doesn't happen again.

It's beautiful outside. Going for a walk in a little bit.

Chris, I think the constipation is the primary reason I get off it as soon as possible, too. Love you.

Spent the day getting set up to work from home. Getting back into the 40 hour a week mindframe, but in a virtual world now. Lots of zoom meetings and belt clinching.

Started using the TRX again. Love the arm burn. Supposed to be beautiful weather this weekend. Looking forward to getting some steps and Vitamin D.

Backing off on the drugs. Starting today, I'm only taking two a day. That's down from one every three hours.

Maybe next year Pat and I will get to color eggs with Ronan. We colored eggs with our kids every year and when they were older they would take turns hiding them in the back yard. It was fun watching them...laughing and joking. The really fun part for Pat was finding eggs weeks later when he was working in the back yard...bwahaha! Okay, not funny. :D

    Going for a walk later.

Chris - hope the med redux is easy for you. Hip replacement is really a huge surgery, although they make it seem so routine :)

We dyed Easter eggs yesterday with Bella. Even though she is 14, she enjoys those types of activities. Easter felt weird for sure. Streamed church services while walked to the nearest mailbox. Funny how normally I would just jump in the car. Got a 3 mile walk in. I only had to heat up food since I cooked Friday and delivered it to my family Saturday. I think we were all a bit out of sorts yesterday. Well....one for the books it seems.

Back to work today....and back to fasting (thank goodness)

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Yeah, reducing the drugs is no fun. Rough night then the gardeners were here bright and early. Their lawn mower is the worst alarm around but I do love the smell of cut grass.

    142.4 this morning at 10:15.

No plans for today except reading.

Making ham bone soup today from the Easter ham.....had the bone in the crockpot all day yesterday getting all of those great nutrients from the marrow. Yum! Looks like today will be dry, so I should get my walk in ;)

Found out yesterday that my company is mandating a 20% pay cut for all US employees for the next 3 months. Not thrilled, but this too shall pass....

Karen, I was listening to the Finance Committee budget meeting today and it sounds like everyone is having to make hard choices. Hope all is well for you.

Chris, Isn't it great to be retired? Hope the pill reduction is easy for you.

I'm working reduced hours. It feels so strange.

Walking today. Also doing TRX again. Feels good.

Paula, yes, I love being retired. Pill reduction going okay. Not the most fun.

We have been with the same credit union forever....I mean forever! 30 some years. Always thought our savings and checking were the same 12 digits at the bottom of our checks except the last two numbers...X1 was checking and XX was savings...NONONONONONO! But, I don't find this out until I go thru all the killer paperwork for SS. I was expecting my first check on the 15th. They said...You'll get it on the 15th...Nopey, nope. and not the 16th and not yesterday. So I call SS...One hour 10 mins on hold...they did everything they were supposed to do...they sent me my first SS check...my check was rejected by my bank. Forty mins on hold with my bank...she can't tell why it was rejected. She will have someone call me. Later I get the call. The first 12 #'s indicated checking but I had XX at the end. They didn't know what to do with it so they rejected it. OMG!!! Why not just put it in one of my accts and send me and email or call me or something???????? Call SS back...45 mins on hold. Kid is new. Didn't know quite what to do. Thought if he changed it things would blow up. Spent 20 mins with him. He wanted to talk to someone higher up, but they weren't in the office. We finish the call. I think everything is okay. He calls back in about 10 mins. We go thru ID'ing me again and he tells me he has made the change, and I should see my check in a week or two.

Turns out the 14 digits at the bottom of our checks are only for checking....savings does not have the first seven numbers that checking has.

IT WAS A VERY LONG DAY YESTERDAY!!!! Make sure you know your checking # and your savings # before you give them to anybody owing you $$$$$$ that you want put into your accts!!!!!!!

I am okay now. I did want to put a pail over my head a scream, tho. I did have peppermint and coffee to sooth me.

Thank you for listening to my rant.

    Love you all!!

Chris you need to take it easy. Don't over do it. Took me awhile to catch up on everyone. Wow, I missed alot.

Kathy sorry about the cruise and the gym. We will get passed this and then those things will be there again.

Karen I am sorry about the pay cut. But grateful you still are working.

Paula when I said gym I mean my gym downstairs. Most things here are also shut down. Not like many places. These hicks don't always know what is for their own good.

I am done sewing for now. I have been sitting in front of the machine and watching my weight go up. I have to move more!

I have been walking like crazy and working out till my arms ache and still gaining weight. I'm eating all good stuff, just too much.

Chris, Life can be so frustrating! And it's even harder now when support services are cut down to the "essential" bare bones (which means no supervisors in the office, you find out they aren't essential because us peons function just fine without them - mostly).

Shelley, Love hearing from you again.

Aren't you two happy I introduced Karen to you before I ghosted? Isn't she great? She was one of my first MFP friends - we have so much in common - another soul sister.

    Take care all,

Love you Miss Paula! Appreciate you bringing me here for sure.

    Glad you are enjoying walking!

You still fasting? You inspired me to do IF....with keto I lost no weight. I do OMAD 20 hour fasts 6 days a week and 16-8 on Sunday. Took a little time to work myself up...but going well. I lost 20 pounds of my regain, and then stopped weighing since it wasn't useful...still losing though and keep trying on my lucky jeans to see how they are getting lose. Woohoo!

Shelley, I keep thinking of all the workout equipment we have in the computer room and out in the garage. Can't use any of it yet, but I keep thinking about it. One day soon. Did do some arm exercises today. Thinking about the TRX and doing some squats...not sure my knee will like those. hmmmm. :#

Glad Karen joined us and glad Paula is back. Glad Kathy is with us, too, but I haven't seen her in a bit. Shelley and I started out together a very long time ago, right Shelley?

Well, I got a new book today, so I better get to it.

    Stay safe my friends.

Chris we did. I think we used to be within 10 days of each other. You are much better than I at logging. That number is much greater now. I hope you get to use your equipment soon.

Paula while I am very happy you brought us Karen. I do believe she was like a parting gift from you at the time. We have all missed your wit. Now no more ditching us for dancing and other things. B)<3 I walked a lot today. Also eating a bit less.

Karen we are very glad Paula brought you to us. And I agree, we make supervisors look good. B)

Does my bike about 10 miles tonight. My fitbit said I did nothing! I also saw a lot of turkeys. Actually had to wait several minutes for them to cross the road.
