Exercised: Yes (7.5km in 63 mins - hills)
Tracked: Yes
Budget: Yes
Long walk finished on dusk. Poor sleep last night (restless leg syndrome), so slept another 4 hours in the middle of the day. Medication really knocking me about.
Yesterday did the same walk, but was really hard to get motivated to move and was a good 3 minutes slower. Just was completely unable to push myself.
Met with friends yesterday for dinner the first time in over 2 months. Restrictions are slowly easing here. Was nice to meet others. Was home after midnight and was too out of it to post.Had a friend send me a TED talk which was rather interesting. Maybe stress is not so bad for you if your attitude to stress is positive.

I usually perform well under stress. So maybe if I view stress as helpful it may allow me to continue to do what I do without being concerned of it's long term sustainability.7 -

Taking a pass day. This conversion has me grazing - a little stressed due to lack of information and being requested to make decisions well above my pay grade. Decided I am not making those decisions and clearly stated it in text. Interestingly enough the person will not call me so I can find out why all of a sudden they want to turn off part of the main item/program being converted. And, it seems they want a scapegoat. Well, I am no ones goat.....LOL!
Yes, attitude about stress does make the difference Craig. I perform well under stress and do not mind pressure - I have a tendency to be laser focused and get a lot done.
And, I do agree my statement does not agree with my first paragraph. I believe it's the type of stress. Right now I think this is stupid stress because this project has been a disaster waiting to happen since day one. It isn't good stress - knowing things need to get done to be successful. It is stupid because no matter how much work is done this is not going to be a successful go live (tomorrow). So I guess the better term for me is frustrated.....I am grazing because I am frustrated with the whole thing. I would be more than happy to work 24-7 if I knew there would be a positive result.
So, I am keeping on keeping on. I have been at it for 12 hours now. I looks like another 4 or more to go before I call it quits for the day........
I hope everyone had a nice Sunday.

Exercise? Yes, a rather leisurely (for us) 25 minute walk with my husband, but over 11,000 steps for the day so far and it is only 7 pm.
Logged and Under? Yes.
I have decided to adjust my daily goal to reflect my step total. Under 3,000 sedentary, under 8,000 lightly active, over 8,000 active. Most days I will be considered "active" so I should have no trouble staying under. If I have a lazy day, I will adjust my goal down and therefore my calorie goal will also be lower.6 -

I forgot to hit this last night after the internet came back up. 🤦🏼♀️
So for both days, I came in under goal, logged everything and exercised well over twenty minutes. Yesterday was pour washing the pool and today was finishing up the baseboards in the hallway. Not painting another thing for a while! 😂6 -

It was a tough day today. I was up way too late, so I didn't get enough sleep, then overheated in the yard from not having breakfast early enough. The same workout 3 days ago was almost impossible- barely made it through. I was weak and dizzy and tired for the rest of the day. No p.m. walk either. Going to bed early and pushing the reset button- boop. Monday will be better!6 -

Pass Day #3
I seem to have lost all motivation. Is it because I don’t feel that great? So two questions. Do I not feel that great because I’m not eating well and moving? Or am I not eating well and moving because I do not feel that great? I suppose I will focus on meals and moving today and see what happens.4 -

I do know how you feel, see some of my recent posts. It seems to be a vicious circle, so how do we break out of it? I suppose if you know why you don't feel great, you might be able to do something about the cause. If it's a vague malaise, you can actually start at any point. I hate exercising, but when I feel bad, a 20 minute walk is feasible and makes me feel pleased with myself. I might add a few minutes and shop for some nice, healthy, easy to prepare food. Avocado and shrimps is great in my case, closest to a healthy comfort food I get. When I feel down, hopeless and feel that everything is pointless, I certainly don't feel like making or eating salads... Slice of nice bread, smear of butter, slice of favourite cheese works too, add some lettuce, a tomato or cucumber to feel extra virtuous. Melon and prosciutto... Be my friend and you'll see from my Diary what I have to do to cheer myself up!
Once I have done my 20 minute walk or whatever, eaten my healthy comfort food, next hurdle is to log it, but once that's done, I can do a bit of relaxing and make myself comfortable with a book, a film, music, phone a friend, have a whinge.
My UAC friends, like you, helped a lot. Positive comments, suggestions, I just didn't want to let you guys down. If I couldn't find any motivation in myself, you all motivated me, by your comments, commitment and confidence in me.2 -
