My June goal: This month I started doing Leslie walks on the rebounder, aiming to give myself a really low impact walk, and see if I can do this or not. I can not go as fast as the DVD yet, but every step will help me. I'm also going on easy outdoor walks as tolerated, because I need to get some distance walking in.

June 1: 60 minutes porch plants & garden
    June 2: 1mile Easy Mile-WATP Express (YouTube), 30 minutes yard/garden
June 3: 1 mile Heart Healthy (YouTube), 30 minutes yard/garden
    June 4: 30 minutes yard/garden, 15 minutes walking indoors
    June 5: 1 mile Classic Mile-5 Day Slim Down, 30 minutes yard/garden
    June 6: 2+ hours yard/garden

    June 7: Rest Day!
June 8: 1 1/2 hours working in garage, 1 hour yard work
    June 9: 30 minutes outdoor walk, 40 minutes yard/garden
    June 10: 1 1/2 hours garden
June 11: 2 miles Walk the Walk, 1 hour walking portion of grocery shopping
June 12: 30 minutes easy walk outdoors
June 13: 45 minutes easy walk outdoors, 30 minutes yard/ garden

    June 14: Rest Day!
June 15: 2 miles Brisk Walk WATP Express, Flexibility Walk from Mix & Match Walk Blasters
June 16: 1 1/2 approx hours walking portion of several hours of errands & W/M shop

    🤠🌺

    Well done!

WOW @texasgardnr ! You are doing great! Being on your feet for 1 1/2 hours in the garage, garden and shopping is a lot of time on your feet. Good for you!!!! :+1:

@salsa81 -I am also finding it hard to be and keep motivated lately and like you, I also hate the heat. I suspect some of it has to do with being locked in our houses for 2 months and still not being free of this virus. It has us all on edge and has stolen some of our Mojo!! I know workouts are supposed to ease the stress, but I think this is a very different kind of stress than we are used to managing to be honest. You have done some walking, horseback riding etc for 7 days in a row! Own that as it is a good thing!

    Walk Strong Everyone!

    Hi All,

A few days since I last checked in:

June 8: 25 minute walk at dinner time
June 9: 25 minute walk at dinner time
June 10: 25 minute walk at dinner time
June 11: 30 minute boosted walking
    June 12: walk and tone
June 13: boosted walk plus some Yoga to lose weight with Adrienne
June 14: rest day but rode 3.8 miles on my horse
    June 15: 20 minute walk
    June 16: 2 mile sweat
June 17: 3.2 miles riding my horse and roughly 1 mile whilst clay pigeon shooting so gave Leslie's workouts a rest!

I've now upped my Fitbit daily goal from 7,000 to 8,000 steps. My average is about 10,300 but I want to consistently hit my daily goal before I up it again. Eventually I'll have my step goal at 10,000 but I need to hit 8K and then 9k regularly before I get there.

Given myself a kick up the backside to try and be healthy in my eating choices too. Oh and I also taped my waist and thighs to see if I lose inches. I did that yesterday so I'll see where I am in a month...hopefully slightly less as the work trousers I put on this morning are a little tight and I know they used to hang off me!

My exercise game is off this week. We've been doing some heavy purging and rearranging in the house though. Our library's are starting to open up so I was able to put the requests in for some of my favorite videos again.

Everyone you're doing amazing this month!!

Purging is such a physical and mental exercise, I would be too tired to formally exercise😺

@zichab - Been meaning to mention I have what I think of as the aerobic portion of Walk Strong. It's filmed on the same exact set with the same walkers, just different outfits. It's Walk and Jog, a two mile workout. Waaay back when videos were being phased out, I got "Walk Away the Pounds Intensity Walk, 3 Accelerated Workouts on 1 DVD". I still have that thing... its shows it was packaged and printed in 2006. I think it's the "updated" version or second version of Walk Away the Pounds. In the beginning (sounds Bibleish, doesn't it?) There was WAPT and then there was WAPT Express. It's got the 4 Mile Super Challenge, Walk & Jog and the Muscle Mile. Just an aside, I think Leslie is 58 now, so the original WAPT was maybe a late 90's early 2000's workout. Just some Leslie triva.

Been working hard to get my steps at work. Had an easy 5 miles Thursday in the sun but have been struggling to get about 6k steps a day since then. Have yet to get up before work and walk-- pretty sleepy this weekend.

Happy waking this week ahead everyone

My apple watch informed me it was International Yoga day and I could earn a "special" medal. So 20 minutes of yoga for me.

Didn't realise how behind I was in posting!

June 18: raining so no lunchtime walk :(
June 19: 25 minute walk at dinner time
June 20: 3.55 miles riding my horse to the beach and back....good for the soul <3
June 21: didn't do any exercise BUT did sort my wardrobes out so spring stuff away and summer stuff out, which was a work out in itself.

Whilst I was sorting clothes out, decided to try on stuff that I've not been able to get into for a few years. So, so happy as a skirt I wore 10 years ago on holiday and haven't been able to get into since, now fits! It's tight so a little work to be done but I can get it on and buttoned up!
Oh and a pair of trousers I had when I was at university (20 years ago!) fit me too!! Was over the moon and has given me the incentive to carry on.

I know that had to be a wonderful feeling when you slipped into your skirt and pants! It really is great incentive.

I got a little behind here! I had to restore my kitchen cabinets and there seem to be a lot more of them when I do that than when I am trying to find a place to put things in them!!! Then I had exams to grade and Discussion Boards to monitor. I have decided that I have to work out right after breakfast before I get into the day. I usually like 3 PM, but lately, if I wait until then, too much is coming up throughout the day and I run out of time and/or energy to do it. I can't wake up and work out because it makes me too nauseous, but after breakfast seems to be working so far, so I'll see if I can stay with it. This semi-retired state is a little weird I have to say!

This makes sense @AnnofB because I have WATP Ultimate Collection and it sounds like it is just a repackaged version of your WATP Express because she calls all the walks Express and there is 1, 2, 3 miles as well as the 4 Mile Super Challenge. I honestly do not know where I got the WATP Weight Loss Series: Walk Strong, but I suspect it was from the original Collage Video website as I ordered a lot of obscure videos from them before they went out of business. The new version of that website does not feature Leslie as strongly. Interesting how she keeps repackaging the same walks with different titles.

Isn't this the best non-scale victory ever!!! When we moved to MI in 2000, I did not have time to go through all my clothes that had been packed away in the attic and the back of my closet, so I just moved them and put them in the storage room here. When I lost all the weight in 2012-14, my husband mentioned that many of them would probably fit now since I was back to my 30 year old weight. I thought he was nuts, but I was shocked to find that not only did most of them fit, but some were actually TOO BIG!!!! I walked on clouds for days!!! It makes all those weeks of losing .2 pounds so worth it when they add up to a huge size change!!!! CONGRATULATIONS to You!!!!! Well Done! :+1:

    Walk Strong Everyone!

Oh no. What was it that made you not like it? I like the workout itself, but sometimes Leslie is way to chatty for me in this one.

I think I just didn’t like the three different paces. I’m not very adept at starting, stooping, changing workouts or videos on the iPad. I just like to start and go on TIL I’m finished. So it was not got me. After burn was good. And I don't mind LS chatting. Keeps me distracted!
