Bad week! I not only fell off the wagon, I got run over by the wheels. I let events sabotage my discipline and erase the good work I’ve done in the past few weeks. It is time to climb back on the wagon and stay there for a while.
I tend to get caught in the “I’ll start again tomorrow” mode when this happens. I hope by declaring to this support group I will start being disciplined TODAY, I will avoid the “I’ll start tomorrow zone”. Hold me accountable!

Well, I was doing much better before the weekend came. I had a moment of complete loss of self control. 😩 Family gathering for a birthday party and I did NOT eat like I should have. I still lost some this week but that’s only because I did so well during the week.
One thing I realized about Non-Keto meals (the way I use to eat)...MOST meals are so carb heavy. A regular BBQ meal: potato salad, baked beans, bread, fresh fruit, and BBQ sauce....oh and don’t forget the cake and ice cream since it was a birthday...not very easy to stay on Keto.
Today, I begin again😊

Obviously my weight went up a touch this week, I'm blaming aunt flo; but I believe for the past too days I've simply eaten too much. But, my measurements in inches still went down on my arms, legs, and natural waist. The circumference around my belly button didn't change at all. I'm calling this an overall win for this week and aiming to be better disciplined with calories going forward.3 -
I’m lucky to make it to the losing column this week. I only had one keto clean day this week and that was because I returned to alternate day fasting. I’m braving out into the public as Covid restrictions are lifted in my area. Unfortunately, I sabotage my efforts because I view these excursions as opportunities to treat myself with trips to places, I should not go.
If I banished myself from 3 places, I think I could curtail my sabotage; Thomas Hammer, Starbucks and Dairy Queen have me under a spell! Here is what makes it worse for me, once I indulge in a treat from said locations, I write off the rest of the day. I tell myself; You have already blown it today, you might as well abandon being keto clean the rest of the day and start clean tomorrow.
Starting tomorrow is my “Sabotage War Cry”! So, I’m changing my War Cry to “Starting Today”. Starting today; I am banishing Thomas Hammer, Starbucks and Dairy Queen from my excursion list.

I started this Keto journey on May, 3rd with a starting weight- 187
I feel like I’ve adapted well to the Keto way of eating but this week seemed to be the hardest. I have craved pasta like crazy. I desperately need some pasta that fits into the Keto lifestyle. Any suggestions?

@tinafortenberry There are 'zero' pasta rice and noodles various makes. They are not the same but I quite like them. In the UK the main brand you find is called barenaked. Be warned the smell isn't great when you open the pack but rinse them through in a sieve and fry them off with lots of salt and some butter or oil then add your sauce. The ain't pasta but they fill a desire!1

Hello lovely peeps. Been a bit of a flatline month, but I've not been exercising as much as first few months. It was my Mum's birthday this weekend but I managed to not go overboard on carbs. The world is alright now as I got to see her after 3 months of isolation - just need to wait a bit longer for hugs. Target for July is to exercise!!!

Hi everyone! I'm headed on family vacation Wednesday night so I won't have much internet access or a scale, but I plan to stay on track with my eating. We'll be in the mountains and cooking all of our meals so it should be okay as long as I don't give in to all of the snacks we have for the kids while on these trips. I do know we'll be super active so that won't be a problem.
I'm actually looking forward to seeing what happens with the scale once I get back...well, as long as I "behave" while I'm gone!

Pretty discouraged at this point and wondering why the hell I'm trying so hard. UP a pound and up a total inch around my body. Eating habits have not changed so I don't really know what to do. This is why I got upset and stopped keto in the first place.3 -
Not really the way I had hoped the month would go. BUT, that's okay. The important thing is that I'm working on it. I'm getting out for more walks and hikes, doing some evening at home exercises. I still struggle with occasionally binging, but the episodes seem to be decreasing.
Even though I'm just bouncing around the same 2 lbs, I'm hopeful I'll see some further progress in the coming months.

Had a really good month over all. I am starting to see patterns in my journey from this group. Middle of the months are a struggle for me due to my periods. They aren’t bad but truly just so much bloating! But, clearly if I just stay the course and don’t get discouraged it evens out in the end!3 -
@abardin87 Maybe you need to also to look at your calories? You don't weigh a lot and depending on your height you may not have that much to loose. Keto is great as a way of life however to loose weight you do need to make sure you aren't having too much fat as what you want your body to do is use your stored fat to run on, not the additional fats you eat. Also check that you are sticking to low carbs, carb creep is a thing that happens to us all at times.
Also we all have times when the weight just bounces about, frankly that's me these last couple of weeks and at various other times as well. Good luck this coming week.1 -
