Great advice, Shelley. I like it!
It's been really hot here, too. Get sunburned just walking to the mail box and back.
Chris1 -
Oh no Chris! Getting burned is no fun. You ready for me to start adding you to challenges on my Fitbit? I might have already. Can't remember.

This covid thing is getting to us.
And Chris surgery has not been your friend. My daughter has put on a lot of weight from that. She still is in to much pain to move much.
Lets motivate each other and challenge ourselves also. We got this ladies.
Shelley0 -
Shelley, I'm sorry, tell me again what surgery your daughter had done. I think we would be up to 4 miles in an hour by now if my dumb ankle hadn't done whatever it did. Man! Swelling is way down. Almost there. I don't think we'll be too far behind when we start back up again. My back and hip are doing great.
I am sitting on my fanny and icing my ankle right now.

Muahaha! Love the obscene part. And of course the down sizing! Way to be Karen!
Chris hope your ankle is better soon. Sanara is not sure what caused the original injury. She has had 2 surgeries on her ankle. To repair tendon and nerve damage. And to screw her bones back together. They were separating. The latest surgery involved breaking her ankle bones to hopefully cause enough scar tissue to cushion the bones, no cartilage. Not sure what they did for the nerve damage. Both surgeries were a failure. I keep telling her to get a second opinion. Even offered to pay for it. Today she was out in a helicopter looking for drilling operations that are supposed to have been returned to their natural beginnings and weren't. Now finish icing that ankle and get off your fanny! Muahaha!
Today we poured enough concrete to make 15 stepping stones. I need about 32. Ginger them a buff color. Concrete dye is messy! Then made a jello dessert for the kids tomorrow. Had a coupon from fish for free chocolate and a lean cuisine.. Wow free food. :drinker: Spent 35 minutes on the treadmill and scrubbed my bathroom till it shined!
Shelley1 -
Shelley, the ice is so heavy...can't seem to get off my fanny for anything!! ...except food.
Chris0 -
Chris get off that fanny and get some ice! NOW! Hahaha
Hey on my fitbit a gal was talking about Paul Eugene videos on YouTube. He does chair exercises and others. My mom is loving them! She sits and I stand.
Kathy I bet you and your mom would enjoy doing Paul Eugene workouts also.
Just enjoying my Sunday!

My garden0

1 -
The gnomes are on opposite sides of the sidewalk and yelling across at each other
Shelley0 -
Beautiful, Shelley! Really beautiful. I want the butterfly. Amazing!
Chris0 -
Shelley I love your garden! The gnomes are too cute!
Kathy0 -
Kathy, those gnomes were marked down to less than $8. for both! No way could I pass up that. The butterfly hung out there for about 5 minutes. Everyone got up and were taking photos. My mom took a photo of everyone taking photos. I teased it was like a tourist spot!
Chris I get butterflies like that daily. I love them. There is also a moth called a humming bird moth that comes out about now in the evenings. They are really fun to watch.
I think I will start posting a photo every weekend of a different spot in my yard. You can see the areas that are a work in progress and those that i am happy with. Rocky gets upset with me sometimes. Says there are to many bare areas in the gardens. I just put in 5 hibiscus plants, or moved them. But they will get large. He just has to be patient. He has a tendency to claim areas he likes. Makes me laugh!
I am really nervous about my weigh in on Wednesday. We had way to much junk over the Holiday weekend.
Shelley0 -
Shelley - love your garden!

I was so relieved when I got on the scales this morning and found I was only up .4 after the long weekend. I am betting it was higher Monday!
Taking my mom to the doctors. Her blood pressure is off. And she needs to have a regular doctor when she visits here. So that is my goal for today.
Thanks Karen, now I need to weed it more. Must squeeze in the time.

Happy anniversary Chris! He’s a lucky guy and I’m sure you are too!0

I missed the highest weight ever. Not really sure. High 170's, maybe 178 ish.
Happy Anniversary Chris! I am glad he has made it. ROFL. And I know you are.
Spent all of yesterday taking my mom around for testing. She has chest pains the night before last. She has more tests next Thursday. Cardiologist thinks she needs a stint. She is feeling better today.
Shelley0 -
Shelley, I added highest weight ever. It helps me remember I did it once and I don't want to do it again. The 150's have me in a panic.
Chris2 -
Great thinking Chris.
Rocky has started on the trellis for our 3 trumpet vines. We got one red, yellow and orange. I hope that is all the colors out there! I know they are invasive in some landscapes. Not so much in my zone. But we still planted them on the island between 2 driveways. Hopefully that should keep them corralled. The trellis is going to be 14 feet long or there about. Maybe a bit more. It will have a narrow pergola top for the vines to cling to. He is making the trellis sections out of steel. Then they will be attached to the rest which is going to be out of treated lumber and set onto concrete footings. Should work nicely. The vines are already growing. Just little things right now. About 2-3 feet tall. They are planted on the island. Some of our neighbors are already starting to look and see what we are up to again. I love surprises! I just hope none of them plants them in their yards without doing their research first.
I will be heading to Nebraska tomorrow and returning on Tuesday evening. So will not be very active during that time.
Shelley0 -
Thanks, Shelley. And I hope you have fun in Nebraska for three or four days you are there.
Chris0 -
I'm going to test my ankle this afternoon. I'm going to have my ankle brace on, put on my socks and shoes and walk to the end of the block and back...we are the third house form the corner...short test. Swelling was way down this morning. This Wednesday will be five weeks since I sprained it. Got my fingers crossed.
Chris1 -
Dropped Belle off at camp yesterday...the weekend was all prep...so not too much movement and too many carbs
She'll be gone for 6 weeks.....lucky kiddo
1 -
She's gonna have more fun that we're gonna have!! What is the camp all about?
No movement here!! Ankle not quite ready for walking yet.
Chris1 -
Chris - It is an overall health camp....outdoors, healthy eating, self-esteem, exercise. No devices. Same camp she went to last year and loved. It's a journey as we all know....so hoping the continued reinforcement will add to her health journey.
Hope your ankle feels better soon!
