For many years, I have saved a copy of the full text of this quote. I tend to get wrapped up with a poor attitude at times. It's important for me to remember that my bad attitude does nothing to help anyone or anything.
Have a great week!!

Words DO matter, especially internal words / thoughts. Be your own best friend. Talk to yourself the same way you would talk to a friend you were supporting and encouraging.
You become what you believe.10 -
I'm very lucky in that I have been blessed with a good education, reasonably happy family background, not a lot of problems in my past that I haven't been able to solve, lots of self confidence, secure situation now. I really don't care much about what other people think.
However, I recognise attitude might be a problem. I am reasonably positive, but definitely could do better!11 -
10th August
Very proud of myself. Managed an almost three hour walk to the beach, had a swim, lovely!
Knee is tired now, so resting it tomorrow. Did some 13 km, only a little rest of 10 minutes after about 8 or 9 km. Swim in the Mediterranean was amazing!
I used to do some 20 km a day maybe 10 years ago. I'm determined to work on my fitness. Plotting my next long walk. I took my partner, which probably slowed me down. He has to stop every 45 minutes or so, walks slower than I do. He didn't want to go for a swim as he thought the water was too cold. We cannot do much chatting as he basically just repeats himself. However, he enjoyed the walk.
Way below calories with all that exercise.
Tracking: Yes, logged everything.

I am proud of myself for keeping a positive attitude, on days like today the goal can seem very far away, and the changes quite minimal. But I am feeling really fit and happy about my progress.9 -

Yes x 3 again
Another day of heavy gardening in the heat. I have fixed years of overgrowth & planted some perennials in 1 garden. I am almost done our pond garden as well. Getting there, but I am very thorough & digging up roots & tubers rather than just pulling. Calories are on track, macros are a little off, but getting better. I will get there6 -

Yes x 3 for Monday
Had a munchy weekend with untrackable items and have already almost displaced myself from the circle. Today i forced myself to workout and prelogged dinner to stay on track.
I have made it to my current weight two times before, and for some reason this is the edge that I'm never able to get past. I start to ease up and relax as though I've arrived....even though I have another 30-40 lbs to loose to get to a normal BMI!
This time I'm hunkering down, gotta push past this number on the scale. I know it's my macros that need to be tweaked, and commitment to workouts. If I follow through with these plans and stay consistent I will get through it!8 -

Hey everyone! Iβm jumping in late this month after taking a few months away from MFP. Nice to see so many of you keeping on.
Itβs only one yes for me today- plenty of exercise. 4hrs of gardening and an hour of backyard kickboxing with my workout crew.
I just decided to set my calories and start tracking again this evening.9 -

I absolutely agree with your post about attitude. I've been working really hard to change my internal monologs over the last year it so to try to be kinder to myself. It makes a difference.
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? No (I won't end up in the winners circle due to not being able to exercise on tough migraine days. But I'd still like to follow along.)

Work has been very busy. But managed yesx3 days over last 3 days. Sat: 39 min walking: sun: over 2 hours cleaning home. Today: 20+mins dancing. Iβve been slipping up on sweet snacks which caused me to restrict dinners to stay under budget. Have to tackle this.
Thanks for the reminder, Rick. Yes, a can-do attitude is a must to drive us each day one step closer to our goals. Not all days are going to be great but we can always pick ourselves back up and can-do!5 -
@lalabank You are welcome anytime! You are a part of the team!
