Do you adjust your own calories by utilizing TDEE calculators? I look at fitnessfrog.com, damnripped.com more often than not. At 50 yrs of age in a few months...I wondered if there are better calculators that I'm unaware of.
Wishing you guys a lovely Sunday. I am trying to decide if I'm comfortable enough to go to our church...in masks...w/ distancing...4 -
Passday today 😥. Went over on calories. Did get a nice long walk in the morning with the kiddo though. Yesterday was a good day though. I have to be more disciplined ...mad at myself....4

Yes x 3. Starting tomorrow I am reducing my intake by about 300 calories. Since it is starting to get chillier I am not walking in the morning and doing a at home workout instead. According to my watch I am burning about that many less calories. That is also what was suggested by MFP when I changed my activity level.4

I have used in the past but can’t remember which. I do remember that the majority gave me similar results. From that I worked out a guideline calorie goal which I use everyday regardless of my exercise. This means that overall it averages out but I find it easier to have the same goal all the time not one that changes. It also means that I don’t eat my exercise calories back. I did find the right number as it works for me when I stick to it. I got to my goal weight and stayed there until injury kept me fairly inactive for over a year. I kept the weight gain minimal but lost all my strength and muscle so it’s been slow getting back. I’m making progress when I stick to the program!
I think finding that ideal number is partly trial and error, not dependent on a single website calculator. They give you an idea but how your individual body responds helps you figure out the exact range you need to be in.
I had a good day. Morning run and yoga with some rehab followed by a few errands and the binge Lucifer with my housemate as the weather turned bad! All food logged and under my tdee goal.
