Happy Sunday everyone!
Usually @RangerRickL starts us off on a new day, but I guess his grandchildren may have worn him out? 😉
Respect to all of us who made the Winners' Circle. This is not a mean feat! This challenge may appear simple, but it's really difficult to complete! So, also a shout out for all of us who completed the month, posting every day, or every other day, regardless of Pass Days. I of all people know how hard this can be! We started August with some 86 members, all enthusiastic, I imagine. We are now down to half that number in regular posters ... If you are one of those, you are a winner! Hurray for all of us! Just today and tomorrow to go, don't give up!16 -

Cold and wet day so I was lazy. I did log all my food and it was only slightly over budget. I also read two books and started a third. Light hearted escapism at its best!10

I have officially reached maintenance status!!! I am so excited. Thanks to all of your for your support and motivation.
It was nice to get the extra calories when adjusting my settings but I will continue to track and monitor closely in September to make sure that those settings are keeping me on track for maintenance and adjust accordingly.
Also @RangerRickL I am still on track for the winner's circle for August UAC as long as I meet the requirements tomorrow.12 -

I am happy for all of you on track for the WC - hang on - you are sooo close!
I'm not sure if I will exercise tonight. It's been a strange day with an early morning storm(thankfully, we needed the rain soo badly)...and then...just kind of in a slow mode today with 5 puppy clients hanging out today...
yes to tracking
yes to staying under calorie goal
cjane - FABULOUS!!
JANA - NICE...I NEED TO DO A POOL WORKOUT THIS WEEK...
I AM SOOOO FRUSTRATED BY ALL OF THE DIFFERENT BMR TDEE CALCULATORS OUT THERE. I DON'T TRUST MFP'S CALCULATIONS. SO - I'M GOING TO SEE IF ANY OF YOU GUYS RESPONDED TO MY PREVIOUS POST ON THIS...(and sorry for all caps...button was stuck...lol..not yelling - I promise) but ...what are your fave tools?
I like to look at fitnessfrog, damnripped and sailrabbit - and then...I go off on random surchases...and my head spins.
Do you adjust your calorie set point every week/month/after a certain number of lbs are lost...or do you just let MFP tell you what to aim for?

Up early. Started laundry at 6:30. My elderly doggies aren’t sleeping through the night like they normally do, so I was restless and ready to get up. All laundry done by mid day, some cleaning, and grooming the dogs. Go figure, I had a face mask handy to keep all that fur from getting in my nose and mouth.
Logged everything and came in waaaaaay under. Appetite hasn’t been the best the last few days.
With only one day and two passes left? I made the WC this month!9 -

Pass day today. So I won’t be qualifying for the winner’s circle 😢. Went over on calories. Damn that ice cream. I should have known better. But I was outside this am for a nice morning walk with the kiddo. Per my Fitbit I walked a little over 5 miles.
I’ve been doing quite well on exercise/activity. But struggling with food- snacking is my problem. This caused a plateau in my weight loss journey. If anyone has been in a similar spot before please share yo experience on how you turned the situation around.
@cjane917 very impressive! Congratulations5 -

Ucgrocks, on snacking, the best advice I have is plan it before you eat it. Log it. Measure it in advance if you can. Sounds like you are doing great things!4

These things have helped me when I can't stop eating:
(1) I delay eating breakfast until 11:00 a.m. or later. I allow myself to drink whatever I want, but no food until later. It's hard the first day or two, but then I get used to it. The benefit: it seems to make my appetite smaller.
(2) What are you snacking on? If you keep overeating a food you can't resist, don't keep it around.
(3) Plan calories for snacks. Make sure you give yourself some treats. Make sure you get some fat, salt, etc. in your diet. You might be craving fat, for example, and turn to high calorie chips when some sliced avocado or olives -- food with better nutrition -- might satisfy you.
(4) Sugarless gum and a hot no-calorie drink like coffee or tea
(5) Go for a walk or other exercise
