I love Mondays. I get to do double Jiu Jitsu because I coach kids and do adult class. I was the most senior belt after coach at first so he used me to demonstrate technique which is a bit of pressure but a good opportunity. This was after my morning run! Definitely met the exercise goal for today.
A good constructive day with various tasks done and I even managed to go and visit my friend and meet her lockdown baby!
All food logged and right on budget which is where I like to be. Reasonable choices today.12 -
Exercise: 25 mins barre, one hour walking
Tracking: yes
Calories: yes
Started the day with the weekly weigh-in that I had to skip last week while I was travelling - the news were not good. Not only have I regained everything I lost in September, but I am now heavier than I've ever been! 😔 At least it motivated me to get my morning workout done and to stay on track throughout the day.11 -
Guess what I did today? YOGA! My body feels like it experienced a full-body, deep tissue massage. There were only 5 of us in the class (windows and doors open and we were all masked). Yess to a great session. Mapped out my meals and checks all around.16

@josefinejem
Hang in there! Travel is intricate! I put it in the Category of Advanced Maintenance sling with Birthdays, Holidays, and Stressful Unexpected Events. These can throw us off our routines & carefully established habits.
Congratulate yourself for getting back on track ASAP❣️ THAT is the KEY. Likely the weight is partially water from saltier foods. Also weekly weigh-ins can very quite a bit.
Each time we get back on track, we are learning the Most Important Skill for Maintenance. So pat yourself on the back. Keep up the exercise & do something nice for yourself each day: a candlelight bath or a guilty pleasure tv show in your jammies or 30 minutes to read in the backyard or at a park. My favorite is relaxing listening to Guided Meditations, doodling, or making random stitch designs on a piece of fabric!

Yes x here!
@josefinejem I understand that disappointment but the best thing about this challenge is getting straight back into tracking calories and back on track. Be kind to yourself.10 -

3xyes today. I had a lovely walk in the rain. The trails I walked on in and out of a valley were literally rivers. Glad I had my boots on instead of trainers :-)10

I admire how no matter what happens to you, you never give up. You have faced a lot of stress, and travels lately, but you are still here trying and faithfully logging. You eat healthy and exercise, so I am sure your vacation weight will come off quickly.7 -

@Josefinejem...Don't be hard on yourself. Its extremely hard to eat healthy sometimes when you travel. I went to Galva Illinois a few weeks ago and it was really tough. Its a very small town where almost all the food is fried, high in calories, and loaded with salt! I did my best to try and choose smart and also made sure I took walks. When eating out at restaurants most of the food is loaded with salt. I feel so bloated after eating out and I have gluten issues also and they didn't offer gluten free options either. I give you tons of credit knowing you would be out of town to even join the group while doing that. I also give you credit for stating you messed up and gained weight. I give you a huge applause for getting right back to the grind now that you are home. Alot of people would say....I messed up, blew the challenge, and I will just wait until a new challenge next month! So give yourself a big hug and have a great week back on track!5 -

Even though I worked out this evening, the next KB session is tomorrow morning so that I can do a Gyrotonic (weighted stretching) session with my trainer in the afternoon. I want to ensure I'm moving through the hinge movements correctly when it comes to my swing dynamics and not messing anything up.
May as well figure it out now and avoid lower back problems later.6 -

I had a 3 yes day.
Now I’m going to try to post this. It may get rejected8 -

Afternoon walk and another day of no alcohol so even though I ate a lot, I was under calories by a good amount when logging.
Enjoying my yogurt-based recipes. Lunch was an apple with a yogurt-PB-honey-salt dip and with dinner I had a side of carrots, celery, and a homemade spicy herb full-fat Greek yogurt dip. Between the fiber from the veggies and the fat in the sauce, it's a filling yet low-calorie option.7 -
