...Says the woman with the gun... If the purge happens, I'm moving in with you and Rocky! Frankly, the way corona is going, it feels like a cosmic purge, doesn't it??!!

It's a TV show based on the concept that one day of the year, anyone can do anything and get away with it. Anything is legal and sanctioned: murder, rape, arson... So the stories are of families huddling together fighting to survive until 24 hours are up, against gangs of hoodlums, neighbors, and anyone who decided to be psycho.

Paula - Bella Was talking about the purge. She said it's pretty good. Haven't had a chance to watch it myself. My list of TV shows and movies is ever growing ;)

Picked up Jim from the airport yesterday. He spent 2 weeks in Florida about half a week prior to his dad's passing and a week and a 1/2 to help been plan different things. The goal is to have his dad buried here in Pennsylvania in a military cemetery. As an army vet that's what he wanted. Of course is a lot of paperwork to make all that happen :) we are hoping for a ceremony in the next 3 weeks.

Out of an abundance of caution I put him up in a hotel for the next 5 Days so he can get covid tested. With my mom living with a sign trying to be super cautious with her breathing and health issues.

I'm pretty exhausted from doing everything for the past 2 + weeks....can't wait for some normalcy!

Karen I forget how old Bella is. Purge is not a show for the very young or faint of heart. There are a number of them. And a new one coming out in 2021. It is crazy when you have to put your husband up in a hotel to quarantine before he can come home. I am sure he was grateful to be with his father before he past away. Hugs to you all.

Paula you are mostly right. The last one was also about some folks who get stranded out in the open and band together with others. And how some corrupt wealthy participate in the purge. It is not a full 24 hours though. Thank goodness. And there are lots of good people in the shows to cheer for. An action thriller for sure. And you are welcome to come stay with us. We can go practice on the firing range.

Kathy Look at you go. You are doing great with your weight. I am still afraid to get on the scale. Doing better though.

Sorry for no post yesterday. It was a sad day. We had dinner at the kids and then we all walked over to Nick's niche to say "Hi! We love you."

We had a great walk this morning. The kids are going to the beach...maybe...and we might get Bean for the afternoon and I'm going to read now.

Thanks, Paula. He would be a teacher. He would be teaching music and math. He could look at an algebra problem and tell you the answer without putting a pencil to it. I couldn't...I was sure X was not a number...it's a letter. He was so smart.

It was a cleaning day for us since someone, I'm not saying who...but it's not me, doesn't want our housekeeper to come back just yet. My deal with my sweet husband when we move to this new house...eight years ago...was that we get someone to do the cleaning because I cannot do it. My body will not let me do it. His body will not let him do it. UGH!!! She would wear a mask. We would wear a mask or sit outside. Sorry.

So now I'm reading and sitting around doing nothing. The house is half cleaned. I'll let you know when the other half gets done...Thank you for letting me rant!

    Love you guys.

Chris I so am not good at math either. Nick was so much better at math than I also. X is a letter. Or a multiplier. I did not do well in algebra. I do know that using peppermint candy is a great way to count. You can even make an X out of two pieces and then eat them. You would look like a walrus, or maybe an elephant. What else uses two pieces. I am rambling. Hugs. And it is high time to get your house cleaner back. You see lots of other people. And house cleaners see so very few. And she needs to make a living also. Covid sucks. I hate cleaning also. But cleaning other peoples is not so bad. Why is it worse when it is mine?

Karen how did the test go? Hope he is back. I know you all miss one another. Let me know how your game went.

Paula You are not a turtle. But that is a lot of miles. How long did that take?

I spent the weekend at a Birthday party for my granddaughter. And then doing a DIY project for my tank. I need to export nitrates and phosphates. So I wanted to build an algae scrubber. It looked so simple. Well let me tell you it was thwart with mishaps. My glue failed me, the project floated away. Then the suction cups failed me. Trip to the store for a 2 part epoxy and new suction cups. Then I had trouble attaching the suction cups. I finally got it up and working. Using a grow light temporarily. Ordering some LED grow lights that I can string together and use more efficiently. Still need to figure out everything I still need for the next part.

Chris is the turtle, Shelley, not me! I'm just a bump on a log.

It may be muscle, Kathy, that happens, seriously. I can be working out like crazy and my clothes are looser and I think I shoulda lost weight but the scale says I gained it. Frustrating! :noway:

On the other hand, I haven't been exercising worth a dang, and the scale says I'm losing weight, and that is probably muscle too. My knee feels a lot better and I stopped taking Aleve this week. If it stays okay, Imma start walking again.

185 at the beginning of October - starting to actually feel overweight (not just in the "upper end of my range")
176.5 today - feeling comfortable again.

    Thank you, Karen.

Shelley, the turtle exercise ticker was a test...I didn't know if it was going to work. I still don't know if I can update it. That's my miles for the month on 16th. It is for another challenge I'm in. I was supposed to erase it. I didn't. :# The peppermint hit the garbage pail for the garbage man this morning. ...sigh... I must stay away form that stuff. It kills my mouth!!

Paula, you are not a bump on a log.

Kathy, you are doing great. Just keep working at it. I'm going to keep working at it too.

    This morning I weighed 175.
Down 10 pounds in October 1st.
Lowest weight since Covid gain happened.
Is it finally (fingers crossed) dropping?
    ((praying!!))

I have been snacking way too much this week. I had to let a long term employee go and carbs and wine have been my comfort :) Time to get back to the races :)

Good needs....hubby's COVID test came back and it was negative...so slowly back to normal!

Chris the ticker was great. I love turtles. Don't think any of the marine ones would fit in my tanks though. Nopey nope. So glad you were able to part with that candy.

Kathy sending good vibes your way. You got this. Just imagine how that next bathing suit is going to look. I know you are wanting one. How are your new roomies loving your home? Now that they are settled in.

Paula love the weight loss. You are inspiring the rest of us. So glad you are starting to feel comfortable again. That is so important. My foot is finally healing. Want to race? Muahaha

Karen I know you are happy for that news. And I have gotten better about the snacking. But like you I can do better. Lets do it together.

Still not weighing myself. Next week. Walking when I can at work. Working on projects at night. Algae scrubber is starting to work. But the new lights arrived tonight. I hope they work. Ignoring the debates tonight. I want someone else to vote for. Time for a woman. But who.
