Chris I want that job of doing nothing. Where do I sign up?

    Shelley

Ya gotta retire first, Shelley. The answer to your question is a secret only retirees know... :D ...okay, it has to do with falling asleep in your recliner in the middle of the day. That's all I can tell you.

Chris that is just little details. I will try the sleeping in my recliner tonight. Well right after I feed my fish and care for my corals. I will gently pick up old Cooper and take him to the recliner with me. Yes, yes yes.

Karen I think you walked enough for us both.

Working today. Walking some. Reading some. Bored today. But soon I will be going home to my recliner. Going to practice for retirement!

Good going, Shelley! Practice makes perfect, you know! Cooper will love it, too.

2.74 miles in 55 mins this morning...in the dark...and 60 mins w/my trainer this afternoon. A good day.

You guys are my inspiration! Isn't walking fun? My favorite workout!

Shelley, It's never too early to start practicing for retirement. But you're the one who taught me to workout. Retiring is just gonna give me more time to do that.

My knee hasn't hurt for a couple of weeks (yay!) so I stopped taking Aleve for four days now and it was fine. I figured (past tense) that it must be a physical injury that healed (such a nice concept). But today was stressful, and it flared up, so there's the answer. It must be stress-triggered arthritis. I can take Aleve to control it and walking won't cause damage. So I don't need to baby it anymore. Will just live with it.

    Love y'all! <3

Paula, my knees have always been a hurting-issue. I'm an ibuprofen girl and I smear Aspercream(sp?) on them 15 mins before I leave the house.

I've been a walker for years and years. This past year and a half has really put me in a hole!! My 14/15 min mile is so far away...we can manage a 20 min mile okay, but neither of us is walking any faster than that. I'm sure we'll get to a faster walk, but it'll take time. I walked for years by myself...every day...now, if I go out by myself is feels so weird not to have Pat next to me. :D We take Monday and Friday as our Rest Days, but I'm going to start walking those afternoons otherwise the bulge around my middle is just gonna get bigger.

4.24 miles in 94 mins. We went over the Rocky Road to Laurel Park and then down the canal to get home. The gnats around the canal were TERRIBLE!!! So many gnats...swarms...it was awful! But I do love walking along the canal.

Sunday morning I walked 3.75 miles in 80 minutes. It was a slow wLk but I was trying to push myself to get more in.

Chris I can’t seem to lower my mile time. It’s always around 20 minutes. I can’t see to lower it. You better believe the bulge around my middle is bigger than yours lady ! :s Working on it.

Have a great final week of the month ladies! :D

3.59 miles in 63 mins by myself in the sunlight. Had right foot and left knee issues. Fixed my shoe but don't know what I did to that knee. Bugged me yesterday, too. hmmm... Well, we'll see what tomorrow morning...in the dark...brings.

Chris- you definitely do some awesome walking! I love walking too. I also need to pick up the pace ;)

Planning on going out in a few mins to walk...waiting for a little more sun. Have my father in laws funeral today....will be at a beautiful military cemetery in Washington's Crossing where George Washington crossed the Delaware River. Also where my brother got married at the Inn there. Looking forward to a beautiful tribute to Pop Pop today ❤

Sorry. Work has been crazy. Working the front door a lot. Went shooting today. It was a practice shoot at work. I like practice. Hopefully it readies me for the unsuspected. Been crazy busy with diy projects. And making frosting for cupcakes. Having a brunch on Thursday at work.

Kathy you have to have the right motivation to speed up. A destination, great music. A friend to chat with.

Bedtime. Paula lift those pom poms and shake them!

Tuesday morning I got in 2.2 miles after my parents doctors appointments. They now have new primary care doctors near my home in Covington and referrals to specialists. Something else completed.

Because he's your co-conspirator, Chris, traipsing through construction sites and so forth! It's always fun to have someone to aid and abet when you're being troublemakers!

We were able to sleep in until 7:00 this morning. The kids dropped R&B off @ 8:30. I did go out by myself for 4.41 miles in 78 mins...averaged a 17.45 mile pace. Now I am just sitting here rolling my poor feet on a massage rolly-thing! :#

I walked 2.49 miles today which brings my total for the month to 50.25. I hit my personal goal, I completed theBreast Cancer Challenge of 35 miles and raised $300 for the cause. Very happy with the month but where’s the weight loss?

Kathy, (1) You didn't gain! (2) And you are probably stronger! (3) And are your clothes looser? (That always feels good.)

Chris, I notice you aren't divulging any details. Might I harbor a guess about off limit construction sites or school race tracks?

Yeah, Paula, it was the construction sight on the other side of the run-off creek we were at last week. Huge trees blocked anyone from seeing us. It was fun.

Paula you are so right. I can still see her snooping around. That curiosity getting the better of her!
