HOW IT ALL WORKS:
Every challenger weighs in on their chosen day, every week without fail! At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win!

We also track those small, steady losses with the Green Week count. If you lose, however small an amount, it counts for 1 week in the green. The total will be by month, and cumulative - so you can really rack them up and get to your goal even if you never hit the top of the leaderboard.

In an effort to recognize accomplishments, we are using an optional addition to the weigh in format called LOSS TO DATE or LTD. Please just leave this new line off if you do not want to participate. Here is the new format:

Username
Weigh In Day
PW (Previous Weight):
CW (Current Weight):
LTD (Loss to Date): your TOTAL loss since your highest weight ever

If you need a week off, a break, a change of weigh-in day - just ask your Captains here on your team chat page. If you take a break, you are moved to the Support Team. If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to ask if you are travelling, sick, or just needing some time off. You can remain on the Support Team for as long as you need to. You still participate in the discussions and weigh in if you want to, but your weigh-ins will not be counted on the weekly tally.

Once you reach your goal weight, you join the Goal Zone! After hitting your goal, you need support to stay there, and you can help your teammates join you. You must continue to weigh in every week, and if you have 2 weeks above your self-defined goal zone, you go back to the regular team to lose that amount before it builds up. You will have a chance to hone those maintenance skills and stick with your team!

In addition to your own team, there are F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.

Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love! Introduce yourselves right away, and let the new month begin!!

Hey everyone! Once again, I’m kicking off the new month for the team with a weight gain. Last one, I hope.

I’m 28 and live in Finland with my husband. I’m turning 29 this month, and at the end of the month my husband is turning 30, so there’s celebration (and age crisis) in the air. We recently started trying to have a baby, and we’re moving to a new apartment right before Christmas, finally. We bought the place from a construction project 1,5 years ago, and it’s been one looooong wait.

I set a goal in mind, to be below 95kg on our move-in day. That means my goal is to hit 209,4 lbs in 47 days. It’s a big goal and it means almost 1,5lbs per week, but I’m going to try. It’s gonna be extra hard because of the birthday celebrations, moving preparation, lockdown situation, the fact that it’s November in Finland (=cold, wet and dark 24/7) and I got a major concussion during my acrobatics practice this week. I’m healing nicely, but yesterday’s walk to the grocery store was definitely way too intense still.

I’m still going to try, since I have never before lost weight by accident and some trying is required for this to happen...

Steps for the final week of october:

I had to really work to get over 100k and I wasn’t trying to overshoot by that much; I just wasn’t paying close enough attention lol

    10/25: 18,738
    10/26: 17,779
    10/27: 16,334

    10/29: 17,186
    10/30: 17,106
    10/31: 21,512

I hope we do it again in November! It motivated me to go above and beyond my normal step count. 😊

    New month, new into:

42, female, 5’6” and I live in the US. I have 7 fur kids and devote most of my free time to hiking with them or taking them for walks (only 4 of them though, some can’t do it for differing reasons).

My husband built us a sweet mostly commercial gym in the basement starting over 2 years ago. And I finally started using it a couple of months ago.

Currently 176 and goal weight of 135. I wanted to be 160 by Christmas, but clearly THAT isn’t going to happen, so I’m shooting for being IN the 160’s by Christmas instead.

Hi all. My name is Heather and this is my first month participating with you! I’m single, 41 and live in Edmonton, Canada.

I started this particular journey around May at my highest weight ever, at around 440 pounds. In the past I’ve tried many weight loss programs and successfully lost weight on all of them, but afterwards always gained back the weight, plus more. I’ve been working from home since March and decided to use this unexpected extra time to work on my physical and emotional health. The difference this time is I’m NOT doing it on a fad diet, and instead am losing the weight by making small and sustainable changes. I feel so motivated and hopeful to see long term and permanent success.

User name: heatherbluebell (feel free to add me as a friend!)
    Weigh in: Thursdays
    Height: 5’9”
    CW: 372 lbs
    LTD: 68 lbs

I’m not going to make goal of pounds to loss per week because I tend to make lofty goals then feel badly after not making it. So, instead here are my goals:

    Swimming laps: 3x/week
    Zumba: 3x/week
    Strength training: 2x/week
    Water intake: 72 oz/day
    Meal planning: every week
    Meal prepping: Sundays
    Logging food in MFP: daily
1st goal: 299 lbs (I want to buy a new car when I achieve this milestone!)

@Beka3695 omg, your suggestion of opening up our food diaries is super scary to me!!! Lol. But maybe that kind of accountability is a good thing for me? And maybe if I spend time getting ideas from others, that will help me too!? So, mine is now open to my friends... Eek!!!

@boehle Mmmm, looks good! I think eggs, spinach, tomato, mushroom, sausage and onion!

:star:The Green Challenge :star: Percentage of people who lost weight this week. No matter how small the loss the weights are recorded in green. Remember that even if your team doesn’t rank the highest in weight loss for the week you can still be the Green Percentage winner by having the most losses in your team! So keep it up!! B)

Welcome! And don’t be afraid to open up your food diary. No one here is going to comment on what you should or shouldn’t eat (unless you ask us for specific advice). I don’t eat particularly healthy, but my diary is open if anyone wants to look. Not sure why they would though 😜

Hi Team! Welcome to the new team members!

I started my journey in March at 234lb, and have so far lost nearly 40lbs. I had slowly gained weight my whole adult life, and tried MFP before unsuccessfully. A switch flipped for me (thanks covid), and I say "no more" to my emotional eating and poor stress management. My health is so much more important to me now, and I had no idea how much better I'd feel! Very serious about making this a lasting change.

October was tough for me, but I'm still moving slowly toward my next goal of 185lbs. At this point, I have lost enough weight that I'd like to focus a bit more on exercise and strength training especially. Ive been able to build cardio habits through spin style cycling, but I need to build strength and tone. I made zero progress in October toward my goal of more strength training and to restart running. Ready to make it happen this month.

Good Morning. I am your other captain... along side my bestie @Beka3695
I am 38 and have an 18 year old that graduated during the pandemic and moved out into his own apt in the middle of August.
I do have some furbabies. Peter is my bestie (my 5 year old boxer/hound).
Then I had Pretzel (opossum) which I released coming up on 2 weeks ago. I do think I saw him last weekend as I have never seen an opossum by my house before.
I have gone from 237 to 132, and currently am 170. I have only have a few goals this month. 1. Snap a picture of anything before I eat it then post it here the next day as a collage. 2. No alcohol Tuesday - Thursday nights. 3. See 16... something again on the scale. I am tired of just chilling in the 170s.
Oh and Burrrrrrrrrrrr... Ohio got its first few snow flakes yesterday! I am NOT ready.

Edit. My breakfast I posted was eggs, sausage, pepper, red chili flakes, spinach and tomatoes. This morning I added in some hot sauce and goat cheese. Super creamy and yum.

I’m Steph/Showkitten, 31 living in Scotland with my husband, baby (that’s new to say!) and 3 cats. I was originally in this group In 2017 when I went from 255 to 190 in time for my wedding in October 2017.

After that, though, a few major things happened. I lost one of my cats who I adored, I got diagnosed with a chronic pain condition and we realised that although we really wanted kids we couldn’t afford it for a few years. So, I was extremely heartbroken for a number of reasons and just ate.

I’ve been trying since then to get weight off but not got below 220, which is where I was last year before we started trying for a baby. I figured this was going to be super happy time as FINALLY we were getting a baby but it took me a long time to conceive so I ate rather than exercised as I was sad. But back in January we got our positive when I was back at my very highest of 255. Yay. I also came off painkillers that are notorious for making weight loss harder.

Baby Quinn is here now and is 5 weeks old and I really want to be healthy for him. I weighed myself a few weeks ago and I was at 245 so that’s my starting point. Been having a bad few weeks too though, as although we have our gorgeous boy we’ve also lost two family cats in the last month, one after a very long illness and one very suddenly. I’m also struggling not getting to see my parents so much due to COVID. So I haven’t properly started eating well and slipped into my comfort eating ways. It can’t continue! Which is why I’m so excited to be back here. Hoping you can all keep me on the straight and narrow 🤞

My goals for November are just getting back into good habits and logging food again 💪🏻 long term I’d love to be back under 200lbs.

Hi team, I am brand new to this group and challenge. I am looking forward to supporting and participating because I think it will help with my accountability. I live in Idaho and am 36 years old. Married with an almost 2-year-old toddler. This summer I hit my highest weight at 207 after getting some great results last fall - I just totally let it all go. Now I am back to tracking and working out, but I am trying to keep my calorie intake as high as possible while still losing so that it feels sustainable. This week I have stalled and am just feeling really frustrated by the scale even though my measurements are down. I am continually trying to reframe my mindset and stay focused on long-term success instead of the short term. It's SO hard somedays! My goal weight is around 150, and I am currently at 193. I typically do resistance/weight training 3x per week with walks for cardio 3-5x per week. Please add me as a friend! I really want the added support.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your furkids!! I only have fur children and I lost 2 of them very close together (within a week of each other) back in April. One had hemangiosarcoma and we were super focused on her and her chemo. Then another one started acting distressed and we took
him to the vet and he had leukemia....

We were devastated to lose 2 so close to each other. I have 7 furkids left and I know I will fall off the wagon after I lose each one of them. The hardest part about having furkids is that you know that you’ll outlive them. 😔

Hello -very thankful to have been assigned to such a warm & supportive group. I’m Tanya-I live in rural Ontario, Canada. My highest weight was last month @ 257 ...I’m ready, strong-willed and want to make a change for the better. I’ll be 44 in a few weeks and I want to turn a corner on my health. I’m married and have 2 kids (11,14) -I have many pets...4 cats (including a Maine Coon-Meow!) and 2 wieners, who are living & comical, but can often be little jerks. I’m alcohol-free for a month -staying on this till Christmas. Today I did something fun -a cold plunge into the Great Lakes -I’m a Finn, so it is in my blood. Of note, my flare-up in my shoulder/back/wrapping around to my chest & ribs ...was gone! I’m going to be easing back into physical activity next week -just trying to lay the foundation around my food & habits (work through lunch and late and commute).

While I did lose weight this week, I was up last week (pre-challenge month) so I was pretty disappointed. I know I need to reframe this and look at my overall success. I'm so glad to be in this group and hope it continues to provide the motivation to move in the right direction - that's what it's all about, right? Make it a great week everyone!

Hi guys! I want to apologize about being absent lately. I will be back in Florida tomorrow night and things will hopefully be more normal again.

The last few days have been crazy. Last night I caved to stress and binged. I ate so much crap!!! I’m up 4 lbs from Saturday.

I know I haven’t eaten 14k cal over maintenance, but I’ve not been healthy either. I have not logged since Friday.

This is a trend that must stop IMMEDIATELY!!! I am so proud of my 9 lb month last month. I do not want to ruin all the progress I’ve made.
