Good morning from sunny South Africa! For me, the best part of this challenge is it’s simplicity. There is not a lot of things to remember. That doesn’t mean it’s always easy. For those who might be finding it really hard right now, we encourage you to stick it out with us in whatever way you can. While there is the Winner’s circle for those who only have 3 pass days in the month, our champions are those who stick with it even after they fail at reaching the winner’s circle. So, if you need to focus on only one aspect of the three for a while to get that right, we are supportive of that. This is all about building good habits that will ensure you stick with them for the rest of your life.
For today, as my half of the world is heading into summer, tell me what your favourite summer activity is?16 -
November 4
Exercise? Yes! (3km walk in 26mins)
In budget? Yes
Tracking? Yes
Short walk in the drizzle. Glad to get out. My wife has permission to throw me out of the house to walk once a day. Need to walk for my mental health as much as my physical health.13 -
November 4 is a pass day for me (2 remaining)
Favourite summer activity is wild swimming! Me and my boyfriend really got into it this year and would pack a quick picnic straight after work and head to a local river.
This was especially wonderful in the peak heat weeks (I’m based in the UK so our ‘peak heat’ weeks will be nothing to many of you!).10 -

I love wild swimming. I’m normally in the ocean but very excited to be going camping in a few weeks and swimming in the river! Also grateful that in the middle of winter I can jump in the ocean on enough days to not miss it too much (we don’t get nearly as cold here!)6 -

Yes X 3 today. I really thought I'd have to use another pass as my food choices were atrocious, but logging it all this evening I still came in under - just.
Favourite summer activity... If I'm in Sweden (and I much prefer Sweden over UK in summer) it might be swimming in the ocean. Either that or lounging in a hammock with a book!8 -

My favourite summer activities is to get out in the fresh air with my family or friends and enjoy the beautiful Irish scenery. This year it was a little curtailed, but DH and I walked daily together in our locality which I have the good fortune to be able to say includes coast, woodland and hills in abundance.8 -

Favorite summer activity - golfing while carrying my clubs. It’s a great walk but I’m getting older so I bought a push cart to save my vertebrae. I’m only 5’2” and don’t want to contribute to inevitable shrinking.

Month #2 in the UAC group. Happy with how October went. Did well in the challenge and also took off 5 lbs along the way.
I am expecting November to be a challenging month. I would like to make the winner’s circle again, but at worst, I will accumulate the least number of passes I can. With all that will come at the end of the month (Nov 26 – 29), I need to really stay focused every day leading up to those dates.
For this round, I’m going to start logging my net calories since I think I should be looking into what portion of exercise calories I should be adding in. I have been getting some thoughtful input on this. There is likely going to be some evolution over the month, but I know there is a delicate and individual balance regarding total calories, I will update as I define. Starting the month on the same premise as October, with no exercise calories added.Date: 11/1

Favorite summer activity is likely why I am here - probably "eating". I am not a summer person. Fall is my favorite. I am not a bright sun, heat, humidity, or water person. So of course it made a lot of sense that hubby and I bought a place in the Florida Keys last year. I think I'm going to need to find a better favorite summer "activity". :P5 -
** typo above 3.18 miles - argh

Today is supposed to be my rest day, but I did a quick 10 minute cardio video anyway.
I just finished logging everything I ate today - I'm still drinking my water.

Favorite Summer activity: When my kids were younger we owned a beautiful camper and we traveled all over different states. We used to bring along my husbands father ( Papa my kids called him ) He enjoyed being with us and his grandkids seeing all the different places. My mother-in-law loved him being gone with us and out of her hair, leaving her free to watch Lifetime movies in peace and quiet. I miss those days.7 -
