For today - yes, x's 3 - I am using some of my exercise calories...but am rethinking that....Think I'll try to go back to not using those at all... hmmmm I know many people don't...and many people do.... I've tried both techniques... Do you feel strongly either way?
I am a pet sitter at this point in life. Thought you guys might enjoy the occasional cute doggo pic.

I feel guilty being in the Winner’s Circle in maintenance, as I know HOW MUCH HARDER I had to work at the three requirements when I was losing. Now, I have more calories I can eat, I can walk faster & longer (Ie burn more than I was able), and I have habits in place.
Ahem... cough cough. I respect you and your feelings, honestly. I'm in maintenance too and have found it's much harder for me than losing weight.
For me, losing the weight was the easy part -- I was enthusiastic, it was fun to see the numbers go down, fun to fit into my clothes, and I connected losing weight, better food choices, and daily exercise to my spiritual life, which clicked for me. I lost all the weight in about 4 months. Maintenance is the rest of my life. It's developing the mental muscle to let my reason take over and say no to having a candy bar every day. My habits are NOT in place yet.
A longwinded way to say we all have this struggle in common, but we're all different.

Yes.
It has been helpful for me to limit the hour that I am allowed to eat. I find that not eating past 8pm really is helping me keep my intake down. I have also not been snacking between meals including the candy in the hallway my manager always likes to keep well stocked.9 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, walking inside the house and cooking supper for husband and me.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes

@dsgoingtodoit Oooh, muddy trail walk sounds like so much fun.
Personally I don’t use my exercise calories the vast majority of the time. Long ago I worked out a calorie goal that’s covers my average weekly exercise at my goal weight. That helped me get to goal weight first time around and stay there until injury stopped my exercise routine. The same goal is getting me back to fighting weight now that I’m training again. For me the magic numbers occur between 1600 and 1800 calories. If I go below that for more than a couple of days, I run out of energy. If I have a much harder than normal day I will allow myself up to 2000 on that day or the next if I feel I need it. I like to have a fixed amount to work with when planning my food, although I rarely plan everything. I plan the main stuff and know what I have available to fill it up, depending on how I feel on the day. This gives me flexibility to meet daily desires or cravings but enough structure that food is quick and easy because it’s all planned and aspects premade if needed.
One person’s opinion to consider. Take what helps you and ignore the rest, or try things to see if they work for you.4 -

Thanks @Hollis100 - Great point. I’m fine either way; I’ve just noticed a lot of repeat Winners Circle folks are in maintenance or close to that weight.
Was just something I’d been thinking of.
