PASS: 0/3
Walked 45 mins on the treadmill working my way up to 3.5mph. Also did 30 mins of Pilates with a YouTube video. I am in a fitbit "workweek hustle" challenge this week with someone who is really giving me a run for my money! By yesterday morn, we (her and I) were already up to almost 60k steps!! No matter how many steps I get, when I check, she's 1500-2k ahead of me! So I'm becoming OBSESSED! Lol.
I got 20k steps yesterday and will get 30k today.... but I'm sure glad tomorrow is Friday and this challenge will be OVER! 😀8 -

Though I know weight numbers are not the primary focus for us here in the UAC, I want to share that for November (a fairly challenging calorie month) I managed to get rid of 7.2 pounds, and for the October Challenge another -5.0. I am now weighing slightly less than October 2019, which seems like a miracle. Target weight is in sight (129-130 – weight at my nephew’s May 2019 wedding) and doable in the next couple months. I am grateful for the results. Also notable for the November UAC, I entered and walk/ran a virtual 5K. I looked at the results and I came in 154/357 for total entries, 87/234 female, and 19/87 over 50 female. I would have been happy if I even came in last, because I entered. Being in the top 50% is super motivating even though I know this kind of race is not full of competitive runners.
So now for my December UAC. I am starting by raising my daily target calories by 50, and will be re-evaluating this every 10 days, as I want to start easing into my eventual maintenance calories. I don’t want to get go from lower calories to higher calories in a single day. I will be trying my best for the Winner’s circle, but need to be realistic and will at least commit to showing up daily and aiming to be a champion and aim to clean off 2 more pounds during December. Then, during my next 9 days in the Keys, I plan to walk/run to Sombrero Beach and even try to get you a sunrise photo (will take some planning ) and get back home. Google maps claims the distance is 3.3 miles each way. At for the rest of the month, my brain can only cope with planning til the 12th. Will regroup again once up north again.
BTW in November, I did not opt for eating back my “exercise” calories like I had planned. My problem with the method of eating back each day’s exercise calories is that that calorie number not compatible with advance planning and tracking, and I like to plan and pre-track my days. So this is the reason I am going try upping my planned daily calories instead and that way I can continue with the pre-tracking that works well for me.
Here we go!

First pass day. My infusion was tough today. I like to schedule them later in the day so I don’t lose the whole day but it’s not always possible having them every 4 weeks. So today’s was early. All day under a blanket on the couch. Hopefully I will be up and going tomorrow as good as new.
I was thankful for @RangerRickL , because I’m reading How do Stop Worrying and Start Living. I actually found many positive things while sitting in the chair with the book.

I had said I would get both a sunset and a sunrise pic during my days in the keys. Here is sunset, but not as good as I hoped. The angle of the sun seems different and the sunset from he condo was not the same as last spring. But this pic was easy, I walked outside. Hopefully my sunrise will be worth the 3.3 mile walk each way, when I go for it in a few days.

This 12-week workout protocol requires VERY little cardio. For example, tomorrow is an active rest day and the suggestion is 15-20 min of cardio. So far, it doesn't feel like I'm doing much so I'm hoping to see 👀 progress by month-end. That requires taking pictures regularly which I'm not a fan of doing but I don't want to lose motivation otherwise.7 -

Yes on exercise, no on the budget, yes on tracking.
Passes used? 3/3! I’m no longer a contender in the winner’s circle but I am still playing the game of accountability because it still helps me.6 -

@oldDogBiking This 1,000 ft you speak of was on your BIKE? 😱
Yes. On bike. I live kind of by the side of a mountain. There is a place there that I have been going to that is 2.5 miles of road but it goes up 1,000 feet. I usually try to do it twice to get me 2,000 feet of climb and I try for that on alternating days.
I been having that regimen now for a few years. This past October it was four years.
I track it pretty good because I got this tracker watch with gps in it. I got that watch back then.
Weird. Who ever thought they could make gps that small.
But that watch hooks to this website database called Strava.
That thing tracks me along with all of the neighborhood athletes.
But it is quite motivating. Er, well, maybe I am a guy with a few obsessions.
But I climb.
I go on vacation, guess what I do, I climb.
I ought to put a picture of it.
Maybe tomorrow.8 -

I like thinking about you hanging out by a campfire.
In my imagination I think what'd be cool is if there were them kind of things they call Northern Lights while you were hanging out there. If my memory serves, I think they got them by where you live.2 -
