A post yesterday:
Question: "Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Well??? Sort of yes, but really no. I went over budget but I moved enough today that my activity countered the overage so...Yeah, no."
The UAC answer is Number 11 in the UAC FAQs section.
Here is our simple answer: "If I exercise a lot, can I 'eat back' my exercise calories?
Your calorie goal and calorie adjustments are entirely up to you."
One of the values underlying this challenge is that YOU set your own limits. You keep track of your own records.
At the end of the month, You report whether or not you qualify for the Winner's Circle. We assume that you are an honest and responsible adult.
Some UAC Team Members 'eat back some or all of their calories.

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Yuuuup cranked out my usual hiit routine along with some static stretching, and the fast pace environment at work got me a whole 10mi today on foot.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
I did and had less of a struggle than usual as i’m incorporating smoothies into my diet now. it has made it a lot easier to get what i need now.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?

What an awesome day! No surprise that I did so of the Jiu Jitsu to end up saying that. Coached kids class, drilled with the teenagers between classes and then attended adults class. Worked with the two teenage girls at adults class and was surprised at how many things I could help them with. I’ve definitely picked up many little things that help my game over the years. Oh and the morning yoga, abs and arm rehab I do every day.
Food turned out to be a meatless Monday which included delicious falafels and tahini sauce I made myself. All under budget and logged with no unhealthy treats. I am far from vegan or vegetation but do enjoy some plant based meals.9 -

Today was the last day of the Christmas holidays for me...and one child went back homeschooling from today. Not reeeeally looking forward to work tomorrow, I’ve done nothing for two weeks and now I’ll be working and homeschooling...sigh. But...today I have three yeses, my exercise was 20 minutes on the exercise bike ride and a walk in the rain (with no crutches again - I think I may be able to hand them back soon!).10

Uh oh- pass #2. I went over by 50 calories because I didn’t read a label carefully and I didn’t pre log.
Rest day so I did a 45 minute yoga.
I do not eat back my calories but I factor my activity into my base calorie number. I eat to fuel workouts because I love working out, I don’t exercise to absorb extra calories.10 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? yes, a short 30 minute walk. A rest day for me. Still a few pangs in my injured leg.

Personal Bonus: Did I meet my protein macro for the day (min 40%)?NO | 35%
Pass Days used: NONE
I was prelogged to hit 40% today but when I picked up yogurt at the grocery store this morning, I distractedly picked up a sugar-laden, lower protein vanilla flavor from the same brand instead of their sugar-free, higher protein plain like I have...for years. I could have rebalanced if I ate an extra 150 calories but that's silly so what's done is done.
Do I eat back calories? I tend not to count my walking calories unless I've had a super sedentary day. Even then, I aim for about half. Otherwise, it depends on the day and how far below average I am on my "net calories under weekly goal amount" as per my MFP logging. I'm generally far enough below to have a substantial "cheat day" every week if I wanted but I tend not to.
My current issue is consistently eating early enough during the day so that it doesn't feel like I'm stuffing my face in order to meet my caloric requirements (flashback to last night's 10 pm can of tuna over the kitchen sink...) 😐8 -

Isn't it nice when hubs asks you in the evening if you'd like to have a 🍷with him and you have enough calories left for it? What's nicer than that is to have calories left even after that 😃.
Did a Tabata at lunch, 🚶♀️& 🚴♀️ in the evening. All in all, a good day! 🙌9 -
Today was hard. I was up all night with the baby and my partner went back to work today so it was my first day alone with baby and toddler. And then my Fitbit broke so I cant work towards my step goal until i get it fixed.
But I managed to get in a 40 minute walk (a very slow one as I had 2 kids with me) and I tracked everything and stayed within my calories.
