The number one exercise activity of UAC members is walking. Hiking is usually 'off road or sidewalk' walking.
For the last two days, I have been hiking with these beautiful "Four Peaks' or Los Picos in view. These mountains are located northeast of urban Phoenix, Arizona.
What are some of your favorite places to walk/hike?6 -

Pass day 1
Jiu Jitsu in the evening but a frustrating day when I let the little things get to me (mostly because I was emotionally drained from yesterday) and then had brownies. I thought I had salvaged the day by reducing my supper calories but then I remembered the cookies I had at a friend.
Oh well, one day over slightly is not the end of the world. I’ll be back on track tomorrow.12 -

dirty little secret I REALLY dislike hiking. Both my knees are shot so picking up my feet on uneven terrain is difficult. I let Bandit do the "hiking" in my family. LOL9 -

I don’t really do long walks – arthritis and other issues make it not very enjoyable. So, I go out on my bike – much easier on the knees and hips. Behind my house is a hill which takes me up on to an AONB (area of outstanding natural beauty). It’s a tough ride up to the top but I bought myself an electric bike for my Christmas present and once I’ve got used to it and the weather improves, I will be up there again. Meanwhile I’m enjoying shorter rides around the outskirts of the town. Our lockdown rules include the suggestion that one shouldn’t go out for more than an hour or outside one’s neighbourhood.
Roll on spring!

Love the hiking places photos. My pics are of a local deer park, I’m so lucky to live next to it, I walk there a lot though in recent months the hills were too much for the poor old knees..getting back in there last weekend was a fantastic recovery milestone.

My favorite place to walk is Central Park. In the summer, I'd often do the 6 mile loop. I haven't done it since Covid, though.
Today was a really good day. I hit a PR on my 60 min ride, which was unexpected.
Yes (30 yoga, 30 strength, 60 spin)

3x’s yes! I enjoy walking just about anywhere without too much traffic. I’m not picky but I love lots of hills. Most important to me is a good story to listen to. I’m almost always listening to a book or This American Life or The Moth Radio Hour.

Hiking is not an option in Manhattan everything is pretty flat, small hills but that's it. I'm close to Central Park and it's a beautiful place to walk or bike but no hiking. My favorite place to hike is Virginia near the Blue Ridge Mountains ⛰ 💙 😍 so amazing.3 -
