I am reevaluating my meals and will try changing things up a little. I weight train three days a week but I can’t eat much beforehand because of reflux. I’m a serious breakfast girl, doesn’t matter what it is, I just prefer a hearty, protein-filled breakfast over lunch. If I fix breakfast right after training, I don’t want lunch until 2, then I’m not ready for dinner when my husband is, etc. So, I’m going to have a protein shake as soon as I get home, then have breakfast—for lunch! That should put me back on track for the rest of the day. I’ll have an afternoon snack and dinner at a reasonable time. Fingers crossed this will work!8 -

This is a much longer story but I'll try to shorten it, haha. I've been on here since 2015. I remember how excited I was to start out because I couldn't wait to wear shorts and tank tops comfortably in summer once again. Shrinking sizes was a form of motivation to me.
When I got down to 195ish, I still had barely got down a size. It was disappointing, I knew I was smaller, but it felt like I had nothing to show for it. I think this is the reason I have regained.
Then this whole covid thing happened... and there's nowhere to go and nothing to do, and my motivation has almost disappeared. I sometimes think, I would love to lose weight for summer, but then I'm like who cares, I'll just be out in the yard gardening...
So my question is, how on earth are you guys motivated during this stuff?! Sorry if I sound depressing, but I am curious how others stay positive in all this.
For me COVID made me realize how my unhealthy habits put me at risk. I was pre-diabetic, smaller clothing sizes has been a vert nice "side effect" but really my weight loss has taught me to believe I'm worthy of care.6 -

I was on MFP for 4 years before I took it seriously. The motivation is always within you. If you are overweight and want to lose weight you will, you just have to want it more than those doughnuts or more than sitting on your butt for hours. You have started for a reason, what was that reason, do you really want to achieve what you set out to achieve? I went through the revolution twice.
(realise I have to lose weight -> work at it -> lose weight -> hate my lifestyle -> got back to the old ways -> put on everything I lost and more -> realise I have to lose weight).
If you are not enjoying your lifestyle you will either go back to the old you or you need to find something that does work for you. Other people cannot give you motivation, they can only encourage you to find yours. So what do you want?
Having validation from others is really nice, having validation from yourself is what truly matters!
I really agree with you about the not enjoying your lifestyle part. One thing that keeps me going is how badly I feel when I stop my healthy habits. A week without a good workout... my mood drops. Over eating, too much sugar or salt... and Ive got an upset stomach, headache or feel lethargic. Makes it a lot easier to pick something healthy or to just get off my couch.

.6 pound weight loss and I am ok with that. I am close to my 2nd goal of 145. I know it will get harder as I get closer to my final weight goal of 135. Now it is more about slow and steady.9 -

Unfortunately I don't have any clothes that are too big that I've been holding onto, but I did go through my closet and pulled out 2 sweaters and a shirt to get rid of.2 -

Back on track after Super Bowl Sunday. I didn't go crazy but I did eat things I shouldn't have. Took a 45 minute walk yesterday to help offset some of the extra calories. Not sure if it helped with the calories but I felt great and ready to tackle the week.4
