Something new?.... Had just started back XC skiing in recent wks after 15+ yrs without touching my skis. I would like to become proficient enough to be able to tackle the challenging trails with tougher hills etc. But the weather is not nice this wkd... -30C and windy 🥶 so it’ll have to wait for next wkend for me to get practicing again5 -
Unexpected PASS day!6

Exercise ✔️ 3.6 mile walk
Calories ✔️
Tracking ✔️
I'm at the point on this journey where eating less feels like enough, not like a sacrifice. I've turned this corner many times before--but I'm glad to be back!4 -
Okay, I’ve been terrible. I am just logging in for the first time this month. I missed the mark for the first three days in diet and exercise, so my three pass days are gone. However, on a positive note, I have been back on track since the 4th!
Thursday, February 4th Yes x3 40 min total = 30 min upper body circuit + 10 min stretch
Friday, February 5th Yes x3 40 min total = 30 min lower body circuit + 10 min stretch
Saturday, February 6th Yes x3 40 min total = 30 walking + 10 min stretch

Yes x 3 for Saturday
Walked for three hours, tracked and am on target. Such a gorgeous day, it was wonderful to be outside so much! It allowed me to indulge in dinner a bit, cause I rarely eat back calories.4 -

I had to catch up on my logging...I've been successful every day! The weather is arctic here, so treadmill and biking in the basement is my go-to for a while...no outdoor walks until the arctic air goes away.5 -

From Rick:
Weekends are a good time to consider doing something new.
Is there something new you would like to do?
The last time we ate out was Valentine’s Day 2020 & a couple weeks later, COVID hit. We have not eaten out since then.
Neither of us really loves to cook, so we eat pretty simply.
We’ve decided to design, plan & co-cook our at-home Valentines dinner. The beginning of a NEW tradition of co-created special celebratory dinners at HOME rather than returning to eating out, which is the largest threat to us maintaining our combined 124 lb loss!!
I’m SO excited we came up with this!
Hugs!
Maddie
PS Also glad I will t feel overfill as I can always eat leftovers the next day. (I tended to finish my plate(s) in restaurants.)5 -

And a quick update on Bandit. The hematoma is almost completely gone. He is mostly back to normal but when I put my hand up high on his leg I can still feel the hardness of it so I still take it pretty easy on him altho we are back to about normal exercise together.
@SummerSkier loving this pic and so pleased to hear he's almost recovered. Xo3 -

One thing that comes to mind is run a 5k with my daughter and 10 year old grandson. I’ve ran a half marathon with my daughter before. My grandson asks a couple times if I would run a 5k with him....
@GrandmaJackie sounds awesome let us know if u decide to do it.2 -

But what I was up at 5 am doing after the exercise for the day was trying to find a personal trainer near me to guide me in strength training next month. Never be afraid to dream big. With work, some of these dreams will come true.
Wat a list!!!!! @Beautyofdreams2 -

I'm glad that Bandit is better! Thanks for the update!
Something new that I'd like to do? I'd like to find the time to learn how to Belly Dance. I think that it would be a great workout!! I'd also like to continue building up my speed/time on my c25k and eventually turn it into a real 5k (perhaps by my 60th birthday in May!?) and even a 10k (I'm "shooting" for a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving 2021)
Love it! @Mrs_ Hoffer2 -

Plans for setting calorie goalFor February, I will be joining the others in the group that are here for accountability while maintaining. I am adding 200 calories/day to my January target calories, for a total of 1680. For comparison, MFP stated that my maintenance calories should be 1610. We’ll see how this goes and adjust daily calorie goal if I begin to consistently gain.
Also, I will consider calories a “yes” if either my food is under 1680, or my net is under 1400. Both of those numbers are 200 calories above my January numbers.Date: 2/1

Today was also my “second” run. Shorter than my first, but I needed to make sure my second run was a success so there would ever be a third. I did throw in a hill AND the one time I passed my friendly speed detector I sped up and got it to flash a “9”. :P

@MadisonMolly2017 - what a lovely idea for Valentines Dinner! And WOW - combined 124 lb loss - that is something to celebrate!
@pamjsa - "I'm at the point on this journey where eating less feels like enough, not like a sacrifice. I've turned this corner many times before--but I'm glad to be back!"
I know what you mean - it does feel so good. Like you said, I've also been there many times before, but we never give up!
@tlwoodbell - I'm already at 2 pass days - I see a couple others are too. Last month I had EIGHT pass days. I'm still here, still plugging away, still making slow but steady progress. I intend to see this through all of 2021 and track each month's pass days. Don't be discouraged - just stick with it and know how proud you'll be of yourself for doing so.
@Beautyofdreams - that is an ambitious list and an impressive one! You go girl!
Today was a win/win/win. I'm confined to the treadmill because like so many of us, the temps outside are brutal, the roads are snow covered, and although I don't mind being outside when it's cold - I do have my limits!
As for something new this weekend - well, if it has to be this weekend, I'm going to be sarcastic and say my "new" is staying home watching the Super Bowl instead of going to a friend's home, which has been the tradition for the past 20+/- years. We're all going to zoom during half time just so we can at least talk and laugh a bit.
