I’m the worst

If you asked me is 10g of sugar, 10 carbs etc are high or low I wouldn’t have a clue.

I’m really interested in doing low carb maybe even keto but no idea what guidelines to go off of. If there’s no no’s or what.

I have a sugar addiction which makes it a daily battle with weight. I for years have counted calories and lost 40 lbs 3 years ago and have maintained and only gained back about 6 lbs of it. But I want to lose another 15-20 lbs and create a better and more reasonable diet change.

Any tips on how I can get a numbers guide on where to stay? Is it based on weight? What you did being completely “green” going into low carb?

Thank you

It depends on what your goals are. "Low carb" is anywhere below about 120-150g.
Keto is below 50g carbs. If you decide keto is your jam, I recommend the Reddit R/Keto's FAQ. (Just google it.)

Check out our LaunchPad. It's a resource library of FAQs, links, and old thread on particular topics.

I recommend checking out the FAQs to start (http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10348406/faqs-and-general-lc-info?new=1). Then poke around LC Programs and Open Threads.

And of course once you read those and then know what other specifics you want to ask, we're here for you.

First off, you really are in no way the worst, so don't say such things. I sent you a friend request. I have an open diary. I don't do keto (I allow myself pizza or pasta if I want it which ketosis is pretty finicky) i whT I consider to be a lower carb diet.

Atkins (keto before keto called keto) hS tons of great recipes. Feel free to message me if u nees!

Wow, if you have maintained a 40 pound weight loss for that long, I say you are amazing! I have lost about 35 pounds on Keto/Low carb. I only hope I can maintain my loss as well as you have.
