Intentional exercise is usually our planned exercises.
It's also great when your incidental exercise level rises too!
Incidental activity refers to any form of movement that accumulates throughout the day, resulting in an increased level of daily activity. This form of activity doesn’t happen at the gym, but instead relies on your daily choices.
Incidental activity refers to any situation where you choose to be active.
Taking the stairs instead of the elevator
Walking instead of driving
Playing a yard game instead of a board game with the kids
Walking the dog
Standing more often at work
Moving while watching TV
Incorporating more incidental activity into your day is one aspect of creating a more active lifestyle and burning more calories.16 -

I have been actively "more incidentally active" the past few days - more use of the standing-desk etc.
The same concept is also called "NEAT" or Non-Execise Activity Thermogenics. Both of these bookmarked MFP threads are long-running lists of samples. Maybe some entries will inspire you.

@newbie2143 Lovely photo in yesterday's discussion! In February, each week, I saved 100/70/40/10 cal/day respectively, as I wanted to even out calories for a planned dinner. In the end, I succeeded in not having to take a pass day for that meal. However, even though the daily amounts seem small, it was psychologically tough to subtract them from my 1,200 cal base and I actually ended up taking three unplanned pass days that I did not even enjoy that much. So, conversely, I can definitely see how adding 70 cal can make a huge difference relative to your base! Once I hopefully reach my UGW, I plan to slowly raise my budget by 30 cal/day on a weekly basis until maintenance level.
@BMcC9 I have seen the acronym NEAT a few times and had always wondered what it meant!7 -

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
• Planks Day 10 Beginners (3min 57sec)
• Pulse - 20 min recovery workout (Shaun T) as a warm-up before jogging
• Jogging 5.21 km (6:29 min/km) – according to the TomTom watch “this pace ranks me in the top 39% of women of my age”. Yesterday the statement was just: “6.31 km is the average distance run by women your age” – boring and not very much motivating
• Fitness Age/VO2max: 51/35 (VO2max improved compared to yesterday)

Calories: Yes, stayed under. Not the healthiest of food, just didn't have the energy to cook or prepare food, will try and do better tomorrow. Logged it all.
Exercise: Yes, managed my 25 minutes, 5 more than yesterday, in 2 walks, 1 of 10 minutes this morning, a second one this afternoon of 15 minutes. Following @MadisonMolly2017 's advice. May split it into 3 tomorrow, as 1 x 30 minute walk tomorrow feels daunting!11 -

Update on Bandito the fabuloso. He is still a little injured. Yesterday afternoon I decided to see if he was ready to be turned out. He was good at first just walking around but at one point he got his thoroughbred up and decided to run which I could see was hurting. And it was just about 50 feet or so but when he stopped he was holding the back leg up again. He walked out of it fine. So... only hand walking/grazing and walking under saddle for another week at least. @RangerRickL vetting tomorrow yes? Best of luck and hope the gyrll is good to go as I feel like she needs you.Silly man. Yeah/ If it hurts don't do it.6 -
Silly Bandit!!! Heal soon my friend.
Good day for me even with ice cream cos the man came over for supper. Exercise was a session on the indoor bike and Pilates reformer class. Also had kids Jiu Jitsu and got our new little guy who is very introverted to try something new which is a big step for him.
Food logged and under budget. Oh and my man cut up the box I’m using to make a new home for my snake. Now I can prep the pieces and paint it all then we will put it back together in an improved design and my little boy will have an amazing new home.4 -

@Chinkiri! BRAVO!!!
🎉🎉🎉🎉💕🎉🎉🎉🎉
I suggest thinking of a small reward (non food) for exercising each day. It’s important when beginning a new habit!
A guilty pleasure magazine
A bubble bath
Calling a friend
A delicious new cup of tea
Whatever “fills you up”!!!
Congratulations!!🎉🎊🎈5 -

Exercise: yes, bike ride 20 minutes. Cardio 15 minutes.
Tracking: yes
Calories: yes
Pass days used: 0/3
I have trouble with the distinction between “activity” and “exercise”. Now that I’m retired, I can be very active and some of that activity is fairly vigorous. But the gyms and swimming pools are closed (12 months now since I was in either) and some mobility issues mean that I typically do 3 or 4 short YouTube workouts each day, sometimes just walking. I often get over 15,000 steps in a day.
In MFP terms I enter my activity as moderate and only count bike rides and some of the cardio or walking as exercise that might earn extra calories. In terms of weight control, it appears to be working but it’s very hit and miss.

Three yeses today - it all went well, 30 mins Pilates, 30 mins exercise bike, 45 minute walk.
Yesterday though was a pass day. I often feel a bit wiped out the day after a chiropractor appointment and I think that’s why I felt low and craved more energy. Wasn’t a disastrous day but I was picking at food all day so difficult to track and I think I went over a little on calories. Today was a different kind of day so I’ll take the good with the bad! That is all three pass days used up now though..7 -

Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes, 1,215/1,200
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes, 2,860 ml of fluid.

First of all @Chinkiri CHEERS!!👏👏💜💜 Congrats 🎉🎉 and good luck tomorrow 💜💜🤗
@RangerRickL What a coincidence! Today, I had to go out with my niece to visit the vet for checkup, while waiting for her to show up, I did some light walking , hence the 26 min. To be honest, I was worried I won't have time to exercise today, since there were many things to do. But managed right before 12 A.M. so, I did the 20+ min just in case then.
Also, MFP went crazy today on exercising, I didn't do any heavy or hard running, just light jogging here and there while walking, but recorded 30+ min or even an hour of running, I really wish it's true, but unfortunately it's not within my abilities just yet. DON'T DO THIS TO ME MFP!
Goodnight 🤗💜.4 -
