Want To Lose 10 Pounds?

Up 2.6#.
Like Emmie, I was under SPs, and calories for the week.
Due to back issues, I did skip Tuesday and Thursday's light exercises (no weights), but I did get Monday and Tuesday's (with weights) in (also today's) in.
Also got my 250 steps per hour for 12 consecutive hours a day, 5 out of 7 days, and 11 the other 2.
But we know it's not linear.0 -
Did not get a chance to WI. Still not home so I plan to just wait for next week.0

I am up a surprising 1.2 pounds as of my normal Wednesday weigh-in. It’s surprising because on Tuesday AM is was where I was a week ago Wednesday AM. Nothing unusual happened, other than I was up. It got a “hmmm”, it not a lot more. Just not how I wanted to start February.

On the positive side, I’m officially two weeks past my second Pfizer shot. We ate in a restaurant Thursday for the first time since the beginning of November. Ain’t we brave?!0 -
So it was a better week than I expected, down by 2 pounds at my Tuesday WW meeting, I was surprised and pleased by that.2

I'm up by a pound this week. As has been going on for months now, I'm just bouncing around at my current range. In thinking about things, I am roughly 10 pounds below where I started this challenge, so if I want to celebrate a success, I'd say I did well on this challenge, and I've been maintaining ~10 pounds below where I started for a few months. If I take a more negative stand, I'd like to be 2-3 pounds lower. Apparently I'm not in the mental space to make that happen right now. Maybe I will just take a "pause" and maintain for a while instead of feeling disappointed with myself over a couple of pounds?

Up #2.2. Not unexpected since my last WI was an odd blip down. I've been hovering here since Jan. I'm annoyed and disappointed by myself. This week was back on track, since Mon, and plan to stay here. Need to stay out of the cupboard with nuts and chips ... they add up so fast!
Also, the weight I'm at is so close to a line I have not been able to cross in a few years. I need to decide if I really want this, then do what it takes! 🤞 and cautiously optimistic!

Down 1.2lbs for the week. This includes a trip to Big Sky. I tend to ski hard, so that always helps a bit. Due to all the Covid BS, we mostly ate at the condo and generally had healthy food. Airports and travel days are a bit of a challenge. One the plus side, I tried to quickly get back on the wagon and it seems to have paid off.

I'm up 1.6. This is completely expected and deserved.
The Girl Scout cookies I ordered months ago thinking I would donate as soon as they were delivered hit my porch on Saturday. They hit my belly (and hips, of course) over the next couple of days. Like 90% of them. Sheesh.
This resulted in physically feeling like crap due to allergies. Sleep was impacted.
So I'm digging myself out and thankful the weight gain wasn't worse. My plan for the cookies next year is to donate them, in advance, to military troops. This is an option I wasn't aware of. Then if I want a box, there will always be a troop set-up at the grocery store.

Our local GS offered the option of delivering them to local fire, police or ER workers. Having no contact with them made it much easier to not eat. Once they're in my house, they're as good as in my belly too!0 -
Down 0.4 on Wednesday after a quick and unexpected blip up last week. That’s the good news. Of course, I’m halfway through March and up 0.8 for the month when my goal is to lose two pounds a month. So much for “in like a lion”. I’ve decided to blame it all on my Covid vaccination. Hey, they don’t know ALL the side effects yet, right?

Steve - I still remember Lisa saying a plateau is where your desire to weigh less is in perfect balance with your desire to eat more. If you’re going to have a plateau, ten pounds below your WW goal and three pounds above your personal goal isn’t a bad location for it.0 -
Yes, @crewahl, I remember that (and similar sentiments). I think it was Tall Steve I was channeling when I decided that perhaps actively "maintaining" rather than "losing" is the place I'm at right now.
And yes, those COVID vaccines are likely to have all sorts of unknown side-effects, including the desire to eat Girl Scout Cookies!1 -
Up by .6 At WW yesterday, total loss for the last 2 weeks is 1.4 I guess that's still OK1
-
Down another 1.2#. What a difference not drinking makes.0
-
-
I'm down 1 pound. I can't claim that I had a strong week or anything and I think it's really just some of the random variation I experience when "maintaining."
I'd still like to work my way down a couple of pounds more, but I'm not going to focus on that for the next 2-3 weeks, as Passover is coming. I'm sure I'll go into more details at some later point, but for the moment let's just say that there is a lot of matzoh that gets eaten during the 8 days of the holiday, and matzoh is pretty dense and often messes with my GI system. Plus, there are all sorts of once-a-year treats that I enjoy. I'll likely get back to focusing on weight after the holiday is finished.

All day long, I've seriously thought today was Thursday. This gives you an idea of my week.
Nice going Al and Steve!!0 -
I remember when some newbie on GOAD was talking about bringing a food scale to a restaurant, and Murple's response - which clearly stuck with me - was “I'd rather be fat than crazy.” Along that line, if giving up beer is the price of weighing less, I’ve got some serious thinking to do!
I’m up 0.4, regaining the limited weight I lost last week. That leaves me up 1.2 pounds for March against a goal to lose two pounds per month. I can’t point to a singular issue or event that’s driving it, it it’s not the first time I’ve hung around a weight for a while, only to have a few sudden drops. In the meantime, I think I need to pay a little closer attention to some of the “house rules” that I’ve been able to live with and see if they’re still serving me well.

Up 1.8 lbs. No comment. ☹0
-
I'm up 0.4#. And I know exactly why. I'm eating too much and the wrong things (chips & cheese, grilled cheese, things I haven't eaten in over a year). Truthfully, it should probably be an even higher gain.
Every morning I decide to get on track, and by noon 🤷. So this week's plan is to plan, buy ingredients for, and cook 3 healthy meals that I can eat for the week, and make a low cal cheesecake for an easy, healthy, filling snack.
On the positive side, despite failing week after week, I have not given up!
Here goes nothing!

So, I'm up 2.4 pounds this week. I take full responsibility. Passover starts on Saturday night, so we've been cleaning out all of the non-Passover-appropriate food from the house. Rather than simply throw away all of the open food (we donate everything that's still closed), I've been "giving myself leeway" to eat it. Obviously, I should have planned a bit better, but there is a lesson here: I need to manage my environment better, because when there is a bunch of food sitting in front of me on the dining room table, I find it hard to walk away after a single appropriate portion.
The next week and a couple of days is going to be a mess. Matzoh tends to "stuff me up" a bit, and there are a number of special foods and desserts that will be had over this Passover holiday. I will work to be reasonable in my intake, but I won't be hyper-restrictive. I will also make sure I get my exercise in.
Thankfully, I'm still close to 10 pounds under where I started the challenge, but I'm a few pounds above my personal target.

Up 0.4#. Kind of disappointed, as I was down at home. Oh well, next week's coming.0

Up 2.4. Totally deserved on so many levels. But, I'm seeing small bits of progress (not eating as much junk, of course that's because there's not much left 🤦) and I'm moving more, so maybe, just maybe ...

Well, Wednesday was our new meeting. Two of our crew showed up, doubling their "normal" attendance. Was down 0.6# officially. Guess it's "rinse and repeat".1
-
I'm up 0.2 pounds.
It's still Passover, and I was expecting this to be a more challenging week. Passover is characterized by eating a lot of matzoh and random Passover favorite snacks. Matzoh tends to slow down the ol' GI track, if you know what I mean. Nevertheless, I haven't been going too crazy, but I certainly haven't been overly restrictive, either. I am willing to tolerate a bit of a gain to enjoy this particular holiday. I'm still mostly getting my exercise in, so that's a plus.
My plan is to get through Passover (it ends Sunday night), and then start fresh first thing Monday back to my usual plan: single servings of appropriately portioned meals, no alcohol during the week, exercise during the weekdays, and allow a little more flexibility on the weekend (but not too much!).

I'm down 2.4 lbs from last week. That's the good news. Three bad news is I'm up 9.2 lbs since January 1. Muddy of that was February and March. I've had a lot of fluctuation in the past couple of months. I know stress is the main culprit and I'm working on that. 🙂
I do have my work cut out for me but aside from eating the right foods it all about attitude and sticking to the plan with consistency. It's the day that turns into days before I put on the brakes that gets me in trouble. Everyday however is a new start date/day and there's nothing I can do about yesterday except learn from it and move on. 🙂
2021
January 1st = 309.0
February 1st = 318.8
March 1st = 315.4
April 1st = 317.2
