I said I would jump in when @RangerRickL was not around ... So, here goes. I looked at 'motivational quotes' and the first one that hit me, was: ' You are so much stronger than your excuses". That really hit the spot for me!12

Didn’t log again today and made bad choices. I know I won’t log this weekend because we are going away on Saturday. Spending a couple of days in Addo Elephant National Park with all the animals and sleeping in the tented camp in the middle of the park. Hoping to see some interesting animals at the water hole in the time you normally aren’t allowed into the animal area and definitely looking forward to all the animal noises overnight. I’m so blessed to have the entrance to the park just 30 minutes up the road!
Today involved a beachfront run, faster pace than normal! And then a massage. It was awesome. Finally found someone as good as my previous massage person who quit to have her baby. So despite not ideal choices a great day and looking forward to an awesome weekend.13 -

23 April... WOW to the Cacti pix. Our prickly pears are not blooming yet and some got killed in Feb but I see a lot of healthy ones so I anticipate blooms. I love the "we are so much stronger than our excuses" quote @Chinkiri

Exercise – yes bike 35 minutes, a short walk round the neighbourhood enjoying the sun, and some light cardio.

Had my second Covid jab today (we have to wait 12 weeks here in the UK). They ask you to wait 15 minutes before driving home, it was warm and sunny so I passed the time walking in the car park and chatting to the helpers. Amazing that everyone else was just sitting in their cars! Why don’t people take advantage of the sun and get out there? (The car park walk was in addition to the walk mentioned above)
I'm out tomorrow - meeting up with my daughter and daughter in law and all four children at a theme park. It's to mark my daughters' son's birthday (6 yrs old) but it will be our first day out without my son. Fingers crossed all will be OK.

About my yesterday's pass, I have eaten over by 464 calories, if I did exercise as usual, I wouldn't have gained anything and broke even. It's good to know that I could eat a McDonald's meal without gaining weight with exercising. Not saying a healthy choice but I would do it from time to time. I used to think it's impossible to eat fast food without gaining weight, but now I know better.

(His teacher and I used me bringing him for ice cream after dinner as incentive for him not to end up in the principals offices multiple times like he did yesterday. Yesterday was not a good day for him. 🤦🏻♀️) So that was yummy and cool that it was within plan.11 -
