We meet here to explore, share, celebrate and (sometimes) agonize over how we do (or don't) incorporate weight loss guidelines into our daily lives. "It's a lifestyle, not a diet" is easily and often said, but sometimes not so simply put into practice.

This is a thread for everyone. If you're new to GoaD, or to weight loss, your questions and comments are always welcome. If you're maintaining, or a long-term loser, your thoughts on the topic may be just what someone else needs to hear. If you're reading this, join in the discussion!

Each weekday, a new topic is offered up for discussion.

Today's Topic: Current Biggest Struggle

Take a poll of your current lifestyle and weightloss activities. What is the biggest struggle you currently are facing? What actions can you take to mitigate it?

Biggest struggle? My spinal stenosis. It gives me pain in my right hip, which keeps me from walking as much as I want.
I'm FINALLY using my cane more, even in the house now. Struggling to get my 250 steps/hour for 12 conseutive hours each day. Doing what I can.

My biggest struggle is resisting grazing when I'm socializing 😬. Otherwise I'm doing really well.

Over snacking. It goes hand in hand with being in the house a lot. Trying to get out more.

I think it’s something I’ve generally done well, and that’s accurate tracking. I’m tracking, but I think I need to be more precise, more “measured”, and more conservative. I’m finding it tough living at 26 daily points.

If you're on WW, have you considered changing programs? Purple is awesome if you eat a lot of core/simply filling foods.
