31st May
3 x Yes.
Exercise: Yes, 20 minutes slow, taking my partner to a Neurologist's appointment, but did some 40 minutes of almost speed walking, great way to get rid of frustration. I also bought myself some second-hand CDs, same purpose rather than hitting the food or drink, so I stayed well under calories.
Tracked it all, and tomorrow is not only another day, but another month, yippee!7 -
Went over on food but it’s my first day back on the mats so the extra energy was needed. Good to be back training although the first few sessions are always tough after a couple of weeks off. Happy to note it was no worse than usual despite the cause being COVID. Made reasonable food choices so ok with the extra amount I consumed.6

3xYES
Only a short run of 4km but I compensated that with a higher pace6 -

Slowly getting better. I think I have tackled the reason I have been binge eating more often and seem hopeless in following a food plan. This month was a good test and I hope for a better month next month7 -
MAY 31
T ✅ 31 | C ✅ 5 | E ✅ 22 [> 20 min walk]7 -
Finally decided on my reward for hitting 40 lbs lost. I bought a framed print for myself (and then bought a 2nd because um that's 20 lbs 2x 😂. ).
This is the reward one: Maria by Michael D. Doyle
and this was the bonus piece : La Femme Forte by Rob Blackard
I'm now 5 lbs away from a healthy BMI and might get an original piece from a female artist that I like for that large milestone.
Exercise: Went for a leisurely walk this morning in Central Park as the rain finally stopped.
Tracked: Yes
Calories: Yes
11 -
Exercise yes, lots of walking, not all at once, but added up to a couple of hours.
Tracked yes, some estimating but erred on the side of caution.
Calories yes, in spite of a beer this evening.
I'm in a hotel tonight, away for a few days. Tomorrow's eating will be more difficult to estimate as I will be having breakfast in the hotel as well as dinner.
So only 3 passes this month, I'm in the winners circle!!8 -
May 31
Exercise: Yes- 16 mins Yoga
- 45 min Run
- 14 mins Strength
Tracked: Yes (everything)
Pass Days: 1/3 (14th)
It's going to be an interesting week here at home with all schedules temporarily suspended. I took the week off while all the kids are off of all school, etc. One goes back to their regular school program next week, the other starts summer school in two weeks. So things will be a lot easier after this week because of that, plus getting back to a regular home/work schedule.
I was able to fit in all 3 of my scheduled workouts (yoga, run, strength) today when things seemed calm enough. I wasn't able to fit in a walk outside, but that one is not technically a scheduled workout, just a way to boost my step count and get some quiet time (with added calorie burn and leg recovery as bonus).
I did change how I executed my strength workout to save time. I did 3 circuits going straight from push-ups to lat pull-downs to palloff press with a 3 minute recovery between circuits. It turned a 32-ish minute workout into a 14 minute workout which worked up a good sweat and burn. I may even do it that way somewhat regularly.6 -

Like… 7 pass days?
Honestly I’m still in this funk and I’m just exhausted. I gave myself the weekend to be one with the funk since fighting it has proven useless. Hoping I’m rested and ready to have a better outlook, with better results, in June.11 -

Day #12 75 Hard Challenge completed.8 -
@Bovaryoo My treat to myself is also art (ideally from a local, female BIPOC artist) but I haven't set the criteria for when I get to "earn it." All the more reason I'm happy to see you pulled the trigger. Those are beautiful pieces!
@mshawski "One with the Funk" sounds like it could've topped the charts back in 1983 and be featured on an episode of American Bandstand. Alas, the reality sounds a whole lot less fun. May the funk fade soon, friend!

But a pass day otherwise. Luckily it was pass day #2.5 -
Made it! Thankfully I did an Essentrics workout first thing this morning. My daughters anniversary is today so I have her 4 and 5 year old girls so they can have a day out. I took the girls to the zoo, we hit 2 big playgrounds, and now they’re tucked into bed. I’ll be there soon myself.6

Hello all, I've been around; just a bit busy. Technically I shouldn't have joined the group as I started May 15. This was more about getting with the program again and "training" for June's challenge. Congrats to the Winners this month; that's an impressive number that made it. Also congrats to those that showed up every day. See everyone at June's challenge!
p.s. Yes x 3 for me today!7 -

Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? yes
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? yes
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? yes- Treadmill 30 min / 1.82 mi
- Legs II Workout + Crunches
- Pool (walking around and dog paddling)
- After dinner walk 26 min / 1.47 mi
Passes used: 6/3
Today's weights were Legs II. I have only been doing an upper body workout up until today as I had made the choice to consider my treadmill and walks good enough for leg work. Today was pretty rough. Of the five exercises I had to find alternatives for four of them as the originals were done on machines. By the time I was done I could barely walk and my legs felt like rubber.
While I know how to swim I don't actually do it because I don't like my face in the water nor do I like water in my ears. So I tend to walk around the pool trying to keep my feet flat on the ground or dog paddling instead of swimming. I made sure I was moving 90% of the time which isn't what have done in the past.4 -
